Best spot to stay to me”
This was the 6th visit to here. Whenever i come to bkk, i stay at baan dinso. Places such as siam, asok, and so on are not easy to move because traffic jam. If you are the type of person who don’t prefer to spend time shopping, I think this is quite good place for stay. You can have breakfast for free and go to famous spot like great palace, wat-arun and kaosan. (I did like to have street noodle. The owner was working with her daughter. You can find the place filled with tables abd chairs in front of jewerly shop when you cross the main street. I don’t know the name of the noodle so you can just say “noodle please”.) Although there is not a pool and you have to use public bathroom if you are not use deluxe room, it is worth to stay here. The fare is reasonable and even you can enjoy local area in quiet area.
a very cozy and spa like place”
A cozy and nice place with an inner courtyard. The only problem is very thin walls and you hear every word in another room and rather uncomfortable mattrasses. But the rest is great - the stuff, the cleanliness, the location, the breakfast, the spa-like feeling.
Nice but noisy ”
It is a charming place but severely let down by building works next door and across the short alley in front. It makes it impossible to spend any time in your room or about the place during late am and afternoon hours. The noise is brutal and relentless. Check the status of building works before booking.
Charming but noisy”
The house is charming. My room, 101 on the ground floor, was almost perfect : great bed, elegant decorations, very clean. A little issue w/ the shower button meant water was either hot or cold, not in between - but in this heat, I don't care. And the lady at the daytime reception was nothing short of adorable. My issue is with the young gentleman of the night shift. He and a friend / colleague talked very loudly throughout the night. In this old house you can hear everything - and the friend had stationed himself smack in front of my door. At 1:30 AM I had to get out of bed to ask them to stop. So, with only 3 hrs of sleep in me (I had an early plane), I can't leave a 5 star review and I'm sorry about that, because otherwise the place is really, really nice.
Tiny and clean”
Nice location , near Giant Swing , Demrocrazy Momument , Rattanakosin Exhibition Khaosan Road ,,,, Close to the restuarant . The room is clean and tiny ,I feel like stay in my own house ... the shower room is clean. Also good American breakfast
Lovely hotel at a decent location. Famous Khao San Road is only 5 mins away on foot, but yet this place is in a quiet location (sometimes hard to find for taxi or uber drivers). We had a late check in and super early check out; the staff was very easy to communicate with to accommodate our inconvenient schedule and arrange a taxi service for airport transfer. Everyone is raving about their breakfast and it's true - delicious and beautifully presented!
clean,good location, friendly staff ”
This is one of the best hostel I've ever stayed! The room is clean and neat and it just take 5-10 minutes to khaosan also near to the palace. Absolutely a good choice if you want to find a place to stay in Bangkok.
Lovely boutique hotel in a Thai colonial house”
I stayed at Baan Dinso for 7 nights (December 16-23) and I loved every moment of it. The house is located on a side alley from the Baan Dinso Road and it is very easy to find thanks to the green signs and the alley entrance itself being flanked by two 7Eleven supermarkets. The location of Baan Dinso is excellent for those who wish to reach the Grand Palace and main temples, as well as the Khaoson Road (where the party is) on foot. Everything is within 15-25 minutes walk from Baan Dinso. The wooden house is very charming, clean and stylish, with a cute patio. The rooms, hallway and shared bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Staff was wonderful throughout my stay; they spoke English and provided an excellent service with a smile. A beautiful Thai smile that is. Lovely boutique hotel!
Superb experience! Easy access and very friendly staffs. ”
Room is very clean. Accomodation is cheap but not compremising thier service. They clean our room everyday with new towels at water bottles. Staffs are all friendly and will assist you in your travel itinerary. They will recomend some tourist spot with affordable price.
comfortable stay, great food, helpful staff”
I absolutely love my 2 night stay at this hotel. location is rather in a secluded alley but easy to find from the given map. Room and bed is very comfortable. The walls and doors are not sound proof, but considering the hotel is an old colonial style I could understand and appreciate the owner for the preservation. In the morning I am pampered with what I call a Royal's breakfast! The price is surprisingly cheap with all the experiences I received and breakfast included. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. I would really like to stay here again whenever I come back to Bangkok! Great job, I am blown and you stole my heart.
Pleasant stay with great staff”
We had a great time at Baan Dinso. The staff was superb. Very friendly and helpfull. The location is great, everything is within walking distance. Fast wifi. The hotel has a restaurant but unfortunatly they did not serve dinner.
Kindness itself. I arrived late at night, even though I had a bright smile response. Too hot weather was hot neunde cool place in the basement of the water and took a drink I have had good attentiveness. Although not quite a variety of breakfast was delicious. Stayed two days a complaint or take action as soon as you had requested help. Then again, if going to Bangkok will probably like the ... come back.
Has potential but had a miserable stay”
This review is based on a short single day stay. Stayed at a double ensuite room. Decor was nice and cosy, room was clean and wifi worked fast. However it was disappointing that 1. The staff barely spoke any english 2. Couldnt appreciate that we wanted an early checkout despite communicating earlier by agoda 3. Water supply was weak 4. Windows near the ceiling were glazed and faced the communal toilets outside. Toilet was lit the whole night so we had to sleep with eyes covered by a towel 5. Staff was talking on the phone/ to each other/ trying to repair said communal toilet throughout the night (even in the wee hours, 3, 4am) Drifted in and out of sleep fitfully because of the light and noise disturbances. Awful stay!
I loved everything about this cute little hostel. Extremely clean and elegegantly furnished. ”
As of now (March 2019) there’s a pretty loud construction site outside. If you want to sleep a little longer and/or are sensitive to noise, better not book here.
Location, location, location”
Great food nearby.walking distance to Khao San and other places of interest.Bus available to Chinatown,Pratunam etc.Wifi speed reasonable but should be improved.
À little noisy ”
Sometimes we can hear the people walking upstairs or the people talking
Nice house, quiet location and friendly staff”
Not easy to find, but just ask somebody. If you don’t like cats, this is not your place, but I loved it! Quiet if you don’t mind cats cries. Staff very friendly and trying to help, the ones at night didn’t speak much English but were really sweet. They called me a taxi at 3 o’clock at night for the airport, helped me with the luggage and gave me a take away breakfast. Would definitely come again!
I do recommend this hotel. On the first day, i arrived at almost 1:30 am. And there was a staff who was waiting me to check-in. I was so touched. And the room is very nice and cozy. It is renovated from old house so I could feel the mood of Thai house. It is about 10 mins from Khaosan road. So this hotel is very quiet. Not difficult to go weekend market by bus. And the breakfast is really fabulous!! I do highly rocommend here who come to Bangkok, Thai.
I really enjoyed staying there. Antique style atmosphere. Staffs were so kind. Breakfast was awesome. Cute cats were wandering here and there. We could enjoy common people’s life style nearby. Missing Baan Dinso!
We chose this little guesthouse because of its excellent location - close enough to the Royal Residence, Emerald Buddha etc to walk and appreciate the street life of this part of Bangkok. But what a gem it is. Beautifully restored and maintained, tastefully decorated and furnished. Off a small alley so quiet with a tranquil courtyard garden. Excellent breakfast and lovely staff, especially Sao, who was both charming and helpful. We enjoyed it so much here, we came back again at the end of our trip and it made the perfect ending before we flew home.
