We had booked two nights, but liked the place so much that stayed five nights. Staff was really friendly, room was clean and nice. Haad Yao’s beautiful and calm beach is nearby.
Nice spot for a getaway with super helpful staff”
1 minute walk to beautiful haad yao beach and they have a huge pool if you dont want to get sandy! Lots of bungalows laid out to offer some privacy with hills and trees everywhere! The room was so romantic and had a huge balcony and great air con! They offer transfers to the island's parties if you're into that kind of thing. There is a good restaurant on site, but also lots more to be explored on the beach and main road.
Beautiful, quaint, and homey”
Very easy to make yourself at home in the beautiful bungalows of baan had Yao villas. The staff goes above and beyond to attend to your every need, Pla in particular was an amazing hostess. Fresh water and Towells everyday, pool was amazing, and the beach was our next door neighbor. Great deal on a motorbike for the whole week, and delicious springrolls by the kitchen staff. My only complaint is that the a/c in our room wouldn't blow out cold air. I am definitely looking forward to staying there again on my next trip to ko Phan gan.
Great staff, good location”
Good points: I stayed for 3 nights in Baan Haad Yao Villas. The lady who greated me was very nice and all the staff seemed to all be family. The served good food at a reasonable price. I never had a chance to visit the pool. The room was clean but there were spot of warping in the wooden walls but tha'ts to be expected in such a humid country. They offer a laundry service which was cheap and my clothes came back ironed and smelling great. Bad points: My room was closest to their WIFI and the signal was poor. The lady told me that I would have to come down there dining/reception area to get a better signal. The bed was not the most comfortable bed I've slept in but it was decent. There was a small amount of channels on the TV but they had Discovery Channel so that suited me. I was charged 750 baht a night for my stay here and I don't think it was worth the money if I'm honest. If the price per night was closer to 600 I would have practically no bad points to list. I do take into account that Koh Phangan is one the more expensive parts of Thailand to visit and Salad Rin is a more expensive part of Koh Phangan. Summary: I enjoyed my stay and I would stay here again if they boosted the WIFI and lowered the price a little. 7/10
quiet nice friendly place to stay”
Was perfect. Few guest, very quiet. Big pool is perfect. Spacious room, tv, fridge, wifi, AC, large balcony. Clean the room every day and gave us bottlw vater every day. Tee and coffe maker in the room. One negative thing the bath was small, looks like unfinsihed without roof so all the bathroom smell can go into the room..
Comfortable but nothing spectacular”
Comfortable stay! The room is very spacious with a big balcony. Unfortunately the balcony doesn't have any privacy and NO sea view to mention. The "sea view" rooms are also next to the main road, so there's no atmosphere. Small, old bathroom! But it's only a short walk to the beach and the pool was really nice.
Close to beach, large room and great hot water”
The room and deck were spacious and we enjoyed the stand alone bungalow close to the beach and restaurants. The complex was nicely laid out with the bungalows around the central pool. We have been travelling for two months and we rated this resort amongst our top six. We will stay again next year. On the other side, the WIFI is not good, the staff are mostly indifferent, making up your room needs a few requests as does the complimentary water. The entrance is very steep to walk up (we in our seventies) breakfasts are OK. I guess if one is 'budget travelling' this an acceptable resort.
We arrived early and were able to check in straight waway. The small lady in reception was extremely helpful throughout our stay. She recommended whichof the boat tours to go with for a day trip around Angthong marine park, booked taxis for us to the full moon party at a good price (200 bht per person), and arranged for our ferry tickets to Koh Samui to be brought to the hotel rather than us having to go and collect them. Locate v close to Haad Yao beach which was stunning and remarkably quiet, and also had a private pool which was large and clean. The restaurant was also quite cheap and the food was good as well. Would definitely return here/recommend to others.
Lovely hotel and service with the smile”
Is located in the area with the best beach. Renting a bike to drive around is a must. It was amazing holiday for us, we relax and engoy the beautiful sunset on the beach and lot of masage :). I recomend this hotel with all my heart. For the monety we payed is was very good. You really feel in paradise. Villa next to the pool it is a good choise. First think in the morning jump in the pool for a swimm it was amaizing.
Ocean view,clean rooms,giant pool&jaquzzie,”

Best hotel we stayed at ”
friendly and helpful staff. they helped us with our transfer problems let us stay longer while we got our travel plans sorted with no extra charge. over all just a great place to stay. only issue the pool table could use some tlc...
Very run downed!”
Rooms are in very bad condition. Bathrooms too. Fixtures are either spoilt or broken. The whole resort looked very neglected and maintenance doesn't seem existed. Breakfast was very bad too. Syaffs were friendly but still could not justify this messy resort. Won't go back there nor recommend this place.
Lovely bungalows, great pool, right next to beach”
We were upgraded to a sea view bungalow when we got there so not sure what the hotel rooms are like but the bungalow was great. Good size with a small but efficient bathroom with hot water. Mosquito net around bed which was needed. Big balcony with chairs and table. Wifi, a/c, fridge, tv and kettle in room. Not far from a 7-11. Pool was big but could do with a clean, it wasnt bad enough to stop us swimming though. Very close to beach which was good for snorkelling and for evening drinks/meals. Nice and relaxed atmosphere.
Great bungalows and rooms!”
We had a great stay at Baan Haad Yao Villa's, we loved it so much that we will be back in September with four of our friends. The proximity to the beach is perfect, it was great to have the option to swim in the large pool, too. Breakfast was always filling and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and we were provided with fresh towels and new coffee for our room each day. We couldn't have wanted a better place to stay! It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy this beautiful stretch of beach on Koh Phangan. Can't wait to be back soon!
Nice gardens and rooms, friendly staff”
The rooms are clean and are serviced daily, fresh towels etc. View to the ocean was restricted due to the trees and had to walk through another resort to get to the beach. The pool is really deep but has a small area at the end suitable for children. Breakfast was adequate. A few shops etc within walking distance and a motorbike is the best way to explore surrounding areas. The owner does go into town often so can get a lift if needed. Can hire motorbike from the resort also. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.
Lovely hotel near the beach”
i had a superior room with a fantastic view of the ocean on the same level with palm trees. the room was large and the bed was comfortable. they change towels every day. the food was great and the beach very close - beautiful ocean. everything you need is near by - atms, shops, 7/11 etc and yet the area is very quite and peacefulness. nice place.
Nice room, nice location”
This was a greta place at a night. They actually upgraded us to a night room for free -which was fantastic- but I'll try to review the room we were meant to have. Really spacious, nice bed and balocony, small social area...all you need, really. The pool was great although with the beach so nearby neither we nor any other guest used it very much. Decent breakfast, and free internet use is always a bonus (saves you a couple of bucks a day potentially.) I would stay here again...
Very nice place but no bungalow with sea view.”
There is nice small swimming pool in the middle of the resort, but why you need it if there is sea near by. To the beach is around 100 - 150 meters. There is too much stuff that you don't actually need. TV set on holdays - for what? Swimming pool on the tropical island? But I think every where there are features which you do not need but you need to pay for it. But I can't say any thing bad about this place, it's ok if you need calm and nice place. Pick up from port is free but the way back to port it is not.
Tired Facility with Unmotivated Staff”
We stayed for 5 nights in August 2018. The pool and wifi were good and the breakfast was reasonable but the room was tired and past its use buy date. The mosquito net in the bedroom had more holes in it than a sieve, the television didn't work and the security safe was a lockable draw. The bathroom floor and bathtub were not clean, the toilet blocked daily. The shower rose didn't work, thank goodness the one over the bathtub did. The only thing the staff were keen to do each day was sweep and collect the leaves from the gardens. Very disappointing.
