Relaxing Getaway!”

Relaxing atmosphere. Large trees. Ocean views. Quiet location.
Not "in" town. If looking to be in and amongst it, this may not be the right hotel for you.

When I booked this hotel, I was looking for something with a relaxing atmosphere & Baan Hin Sai Chaweng Noi Boutique Resort‏ did not disappoint. The resort is located on a cliff edge with beautiful views of the ocean. Also, there are tall trees, flowers and plenty of bushes surrounding the resort, so you really feel like you are amongst nature. The spa located at the resort is fantastic. It is a little expensive when you compare costs, but I feel well worth it. I had a 3 hour detox massage one afternoon outdoors, lying on a beautiful canape bed and could hear the waves crashing against the rocks. It was extremely relaxing... perfect!

Great place, but not on the beach”

The view is great, the room condition was excellent and looks "thai". The staff was excellent (as is the norm everywhere on Samui it seems) and always had a smile for you. The massage spa was situated in a beautiful space, free daily shuttle to the beaches.
Not directly on the beach, it's a 5 mins drive down to Chaweng.

We loved Baan Hin Sai! It's on a pretty steep incline so there's a little golf cart service that'll drive you up to reception or down to your room, pool, spa, wherever you're going. The view is great, with a nice big rockface at the bottom where the waves crash. The conditions of the room were excellent, lots of beautiful wood. Incredibly romantic place to be. There's an hourly shuttle that'll bus you to Chaweng beach or Lamai. That would be the only downside we had was that it wasn't on the beach itself, and not very walkable cause you'd be walking for half an hour on the side of a winding mountain road with cars wizzing by you the whole time. But if you just want a quick dip to cool yourself off, the "endless" pool is a good place to do it. Just jump in and look out onto the sea. Breakfast was fine, better than most breakfasts in hotels back in north america to be honest. The staff was great and always with a smile. I would definetly go back to Baan Hin Sai.

Amazing hotel with awesome views”

beautiful pools, great staff, awesome layout

unfortunately it was POURING the evening we stayed at Baan Hin Sai, but we were still very impressed with the resort and all it had to offer. We really wished we had more days there to enjoy it. The staff was very accommodating and ensured that we had everything we needed during our staff (most helpful were the umbrellas!). They even met us in the lobby with delicious glasses of pineapple juice. This hotel was, by far, the nicest place we stayed during our travels in Thailand. It was one of those rooms that you just don't want to leave.... luckily, since we were rained in! It is a bit far from other things so we had to pay a pretty penny to get to the ferry/airport/town for dinner. If this is the biggest issue though, its really not much to complain about.

quiet place for couples”

cascade pools, sea view, quiet area

We really enjoyed our stay in Baan Hin Sai. Cascade pools are great, sea view amazing, the only thing which is missing is the direct access to the beach. Path is not that steep as is written in the reviews and you can see there giant lizards walking beside you. Staff was very friendly, room was clean and we can just recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy nice and quiet place on Samui. Bars and all nightlife "offers" you can find in Chaveng, which is only 5 minutes by tuktuk or moped.

Super service. Great staff!”

Spacious, comfortable rooms and extremely clean.

we stayed here for 4 nights all up and were very impressed with the staff and service. the receptionists at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful,as indeed all the staff here were. everyone smiled at every meeting with them and it was a very enjoyable stay. if you wanted help with anything the receptionist always had time for you and always had a genuine smile and caring attitude. even though renovations were being carried out i would have no hesitation recommending this fine resort to anyone looking for a hassle free stay. the service and attitude of the staff were the highlight of our thailand holiday. well done baan hin sai!

Pleasant stay - quality service and a nice resort”

Good value for money, good location, helpful staff.

Baan Hin Sai Resort is NOT centrally located, but that can be a good thing if you want some peace & quiet. In any case there is a regular free daytime shuttle service to Chaweng if you book. Staff are helpful and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The massage at the spa was A+

Great hotel, great pool and great food”

Nice clean room, very spacious, friendly staff and good Thai food

We wanted something a little bit further from Chaweng beach and this was perfect. We hired a scooter from the hotel for 250 thb a day and it was a 10 minute ride down to Chaweng beach, you can also get a taxi for about 150thb per person from outside the hotel. The hotel was lovely, very quiet with a choice of 2 great pools. The only down side is that the resort is on a very steep hill but they do provide golf buggies to take you around the resort for free you just have to call reception. They have 2 great restaurants on site, very reasonably priced. All the staff were very friendly and the rooms were cleaned daily. I would recommend going down to Chaweng during the day and going to the markets, they also have a lot of bars and restaurants which are all pretty cheap. I would highly recommend Ninjas they do the best Thai food, it doesn't look great from the outside but they are always busy and the food is really good. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and stayed 2 extra nights, we would definitely go back again.

Lovely resort & room with a very comfy bed”

Two swimming pools, lovely spacious comfortable room, helpful staff

we were checked into a lovely spacious room with three big windows, a huge comfy bed, nice wooden furniture, a kettle & a nice bathroom with a big bath stocked with lots of toiletries - it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! our room overlooked the upper pool and was very close to the hotel lobby. the resort is on a hill so some people who stayed at rooms further away from the lobby called a golf buggy to collect them. the staff were helpful & friendly. the only downside to our stay was that there was no wifi in the rooms so to get a connection you had to sit in the lobby. we hired a motorbike to get around koh samui which i would recommend when staying at this hotel as it is between lamai & chaweng.

Great Hotel”

Beautiful location , great room , friendly helpful staff.
Sea front pool was a little cloudy, other than that no cons to speak of.

Our short stay on Koh Samui was a great start to our trip and our stay at this hotel was really excellent. Very helpful staff and good meals at the restaurant, great location between Chaweng and lamai Beachs made this ideal for us. Rooms were very comfortable and well maintained , which was not always the case in Thailand (or anywhere really) .

It's just right beside the beach(rocky not sandy),a little far from Chaweng beach but resort provide free shuttl to chaweng beach daily. It's a great place to escape the world and have a wonderful spa which you can enjoy the open air right at the front of the beach and listen the natuial wave. It's high privacy and relaxing. The style of the resort is naturaly decor with flowers and plants and the room is decor with wooden furniture, simple and comfortable, can see the ocean from the big balcony.

Location

my boyfriend and i had booked this hotel for 4 nights, but liked it so much we extended to 6. the staff were very friendly and helpful, and we will definitely be returning. our room was spacious, and cleaned everyday. there we two separate waterfall pools, the one down by the ocean has an amazing view. dinner at the restaurant was also very nice, reasonable prices, and again a great view. we definitely felt the value exceeded the cost, especially in relation to how expensive koh samui can be, compared to other areas in thailand.

Beautiful view from swimming pool facing the ocean”

Pools, friendly staff, seaview

Pros: 1) Greeted by welcoming drinks. 2) Staff - helpful and friendly (Thai people do not speak English very well. So, please use simple and basic English. Forget about your accent and your grammar) 3) Hotel has 2 swimming pools. The first one is near the lobby. The other is facing the ocean. Both are beautiful pools and they are lovely. I really enjoyed myself using the pools. 3) Location - situated between Chaweng and Lamai. Can't swim at the beach. Suitable for whom who likes peaceful and calm surrounding. As for me, I like it very much. You can hear the sounds of crickets and birds. 4) Check-in and check-out was fast and quick. 5) Decoration of the room is nice with comfortable bed and also has a balcony to drink coffee in the morning. Neutral: 1) Cleanliness of the room - acceptable as I'm not a fussy one. 2) This hotel is very hilly and steep, atop a cliff. Surrounded by little jungle. It's quite a distance between the reception and most rooms. They provide the golf-buggy to fetch and send you to the room. But the buggy might not be available all the time. You need to go uphill. (Standard room, room number 201 - 208 are near the lobby) 3) Has motorbikes for rent at 250 Baht per day. 4) Spa and massage - need to call the reception to arrange the appointment. 5) Hotel taxi to Bo Phut at 400 Baht per taxi. 6) Free shuttle to Chaweng at a specified time. Cons: 1) No wifi in the rooms. Only at the lobby. 2) The room has bed bugs and flies. Since the hotel concept is surrounding by a little jungle, I can't complain much. My body had an allergic reaction. 3) The condition of the room and the hotel itself seems run-down and creaky. Management should do something about it because this hotel has quite a potential. I believe it WAS beautiful some time ago. 4) Two lamps in the room were not functioning. Room 204. Conclusion: I am satisfied with my overall staying at this hotel. Worth my money.

Location, view and looks like a garden

I would recommend this hotel to any one that want to have good time and relaxation as well. It is not to far away from Chaweng beach and from Lamai beach as well. The location and topography make it special. My next holiday in Koh Samui I will stay in the same place.

All is very good except the reception. ”

Clean/Comfort/Cozy

The local people in Samui is pretty simple, kind and unsophisticated. So do the people here. All the baggage boy and cleaning girl are like this only except the reception who are not like doing service but rather like you own me money. I have been living in 3 different hotels. Baan Hin Sai has the best room and everything we need only except the impatient poker face receptionists. This is the one and only thing I am not happy about it. Hope it can be better because everyone is doing their best and hope they don't ruin this beautiful and nice resort. By the way, the location is not an advantage, do rent motorcar if you living in this hotel.

The service, location, and guest services.
No shuttle from the airport to the hotel.

Since the moment we were dropped off the employees at our place were very welcoming. We were quite impressed by the overall beauty of the place and felt quite comfortable the entire time. We loved the location, as it was just a short drive from Chaweng beach as well as Big Buddha just north from the airport. The ameneties were great and the morning breakfast was second to none. The resteraunt at night was fantastic. It had a great menu with very reasonable prices. The hotel was also very close to the airport and the hotel offered a shuttle from the hotel back to the airport. For the price, this hotel is very hard to beat. I would recommend it to anyone staying on this amazing island.

Recommended Enough for Quick Trip, Value for Money”

Infinity swimming pool, strategic location, high speed wi-fi connection

Baan Hin Sai has 2 infinity swimming pools, both of them are nice - to swim at the early morning or night after you travel along the day. The room was clean but not too large, but enough to take a quick rest for couples. The location was quite strategic, near everywhere, and there's a top restaurant named Dr. Frog that can be reached on foot. The staffs were friendly to help you in renting a bike, airport shuttle, and so on. The best thing I loved about this hotel is it has an excellent internet connection, although you can only connect to it at the lobby, not in your room. Overall, it is value for money & worth to try..
