Pleasant hotel and pleasant staff”
We had a wonderful stay at Baan Ing Ping. The location right next to the river is nice with lots of restaurants nearby and a pleasant walking distance to Old Town. Hotel was very clean, comfortable mattresses, spacious room.l, staff was helpful and friendly (good English). I look forward to staying here again in the future!
I LOVED this place. Well-managed home by Thai local family.”
Bann Ing Ping means a house by Ping river. We stayed there two nights, and it was very pleasant. They have small garden in the backyard connected to Ping river, and you can take many pretty pictures there. Sitting at one of the benches and enjoying laid-off time was very much amusing experience. Owner of this house offered me to drop by on Loy Kratong day to float kratong on their deck, and when I came back, she welcomed me with smile. She even made me an yee-peng(the flying lantern), so I could make one more wish. They run this house not just to make money, but they are engaging and sharing great experience with their guests. Highly recommended!!
Lovely and clean”
We spent a couple of nights here and found it to be really nice. The location is great. Close to everything. The staff go out of their way for guests. Always smiling. The rooms are clean and rhe beds comfortable. Would stay here again. The only thing it misses is a pool for longer stays but niether here nor there.
Place is great Location is aweskme (night market and tapae gate is walkable) Staff is friendly and accomdating Location si close to a super market and some restaurants Only concern but not a big one is they dont serve lunch and dinner - Hope they consider this. And lastly they should offer slippers on their rooms.
Good location, you can walk to night bazah only 10minutes.you also can reach train station & bus station on by red buses only 15 minutes.plus a nice restaurant near by,you could find Breakfast Lunch &Dinner very nice. The hotel owner is very friendly and really helpful as well.
Home away from home”
It's so funny how so many places in Asia have those tiny little electric showers with low water pressure & barely hot enough (a hot shower is appreciated in the cool season!). And basins with only cold water (sorry, but a guy needs hot water for a proper shave!). Loved everything about this place but would probably try to get a place with my shower needs next time).
Good Service provided”
Is a great hotel nearby lot of famous cafe and restaurant. Their services also good and very helpful to provide us information abt the trip especially thanks to Ms Yupa she is a very nice person to talk with.
Lovely, friendly hotel on the river”
We had a terrific stay here. The rooms are beautiful. We were upgraded upon arrival. The interior of the hotel is beautifully designed. I believe it was an older building that they made into a hotel. But every detail in the fixtures is tastefully done. If I owned a small hotel, I would like it to look like this one. But the best part is the staff is like family. I had a tear in my eye upon leaving as it felt like leaving home. Location is good. Right on the eastern side of the Ping River just below the steel bridge. Walking distance to the Riverfront restaurants (and across the street from a very good Western restaurant) and walking distance to the Night Market. Parking is available.
Great riverside location within walking distance of Night bazaar, a good international supermarket nearby etc. I have never met more happy, obliging staff in a hotel anywhere. Patrick and Poo are the nicest most obliging people. The Asian bathroom remains the usual basic standard but ok. Again there is no electric jug or cup in the room. Why are so many hotel owners are so stupid about this? A jug is cheap and we want a tea or coffee in our room to start and end the day. OWNERS TAKE NOTE! DO YOU GO FOR YOUR MORNING COFFEE AT A RESTAURANT EVERY MORNING? NO. YOU RELAX WITH IT AT HOME. Well we want to have it at home too when travelling, which is our hotel room. BaanIngPing did supply me with a jug and cup, BUT I HAD TO REQUEST IT when it really should be a standard in every room. So simple to achieve. Yes I will come back as the staff made it very comfortable for me. Clean and comfy.
baan ing ping”
Its excellent location brings tranquility with covenience at the doorstep-upmarket supermart with fantastic cafeteria and another 24/7 7eleven store steps away, coffee joint, delicious roadside khao tom, quite a few good inexpensive restaurants selling local and other cuisines, song taew point and short walk over Iron Bridge arriving at Night Market where all things can be bought or sold, includong Starbucks,Mac, PizzaH, KFC, BurgerKing, etc for the unadventurous. And really nice and efficient staff, amazing river view overlooking MaeNamPing on to Anantara.Run personally by knowledgeable boss from Chulalongkorn Uni.What else can you ask for with a reasonable $ tag. GREAT.
One of the best small hotels in Chiang Mai”
Extremely pleasant 3-night stay, quiet with only sporadic traffic noise (we were in a room facing the main road) in the early morning rush hour, but nothing too upsetting. After 10 pm, all is quiet on the street. AC quiet, very comfortable beds, fresh linen daily and bathroom supplied with shampoo, liquid soap, bath cap, ear buds and a little plastic bag. No hair dryer but there are electrical outlets for your own or shaver. No telephone in the room (who needs one nowadays) but there is free wifi. Small garden faces the Ping River which makes a lovely spot for breakfast. The hotel is not within the city centre, but it's close enough for a short tuk tuk or red truck ride to anywhere within and a short walk across the famous iron bridge to food shops. A bakery is across the road, so is a supermarket, 7Eleven & drug store. A hotel that rates a repeat stay. BTW, ignore the food rating because there is no other feedback option for guests who did not book a room with breakfast. Otherwise this feedback cannot be submitted.
Nice boutique hotel ”
I am impressed when I see how nice and tidy of this hotel. The staff is able to speak fluent English and she is helpful. She even helped me to print the boarding pass out. Room is clean and with pleasant smell. When I passed by a room next to mine, I always see the staff is cleaning or mopping the floor, nice. However, the water flow is a bit slow and not strong enough. I can see almost 80% of the guests are from China. Location is ok.
New Place to stay in Chiang Mai”
Great helpful staff here. It is one of the best guesthouses in Chiang Mai (I have stayed in several) and very handy to Night Market. Bonus is two good restaurants within 20 meters and the RIMPING supermarket just across the street too. Not the cheapest place but certainly one of the best.
Comfortable place but can be improved better”
Overall it was a comfortable and nice stay except one problem. I booked the standard double room but I was told they didn't have double bed for standard room, unless you stayed in river-view room. I might be careless that I didn't check the details during booking. But, I sincerely suggest Baan Ing Ping to change the current setups by bringing double beds to standard rooms, as most couples don't wanna separate their beds especially during vocations...
Make sure you get a riverside room ”
The stay was fine. The room was on the road side and there was noise from the traffic. There is basically NO parking - so if you have your own transportation I would not recommend this hotel. The room booking gives the impression that a queen size bed is available - this is not the case - check the room information careful - if the picture shows 2 single beds that is what you get. I would only stay in this hotel if I could get a riverside room - I assume these are the most expensive rooms. The hotel is overpriced in my opinion.
Boutique Hotel just next to the river Ping”
The river Ping is a beautiful river in Chiang Mai and the Hotel is situated just next to the river. From my room I looked straight to the river (which I like). The room had its very own puristic style, concrete, no carpet, somehow minimalistic (I do not mean small), but cool, nice and in a good sense "special". I liked my stay.
Centrally located, but very noisy”
I stayed there for 3 nights at first, and then extended for another 3. The room was on the street side and was extremely noisy. So if you're staying there and can't handle earplugs, make sure you take a river-view room. There were also a ton of mosquitos, but the staff has enough mosquito zapping devices to give each room one to take care of that. In any case, you'll need to be wearing your mosquito-repellent anywhere in Chiang Mai. The place, however, is really well-located, and the staff is extremely helpful. They arranged for our laundry, got us cabs and other rides, and arranged for motorcycle rental.
Nice hotel, very comfortable, helpful staff”
This is a very new hotel with clean and spacious rooms. It is so new that the signs are not even up yet so we initially had some problems locating it. But the moment I saw the hotel, I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed. The colours, design, lanterns make this a very likeable little boutique hotel and at that price, there aren't many better ones you can find. The staff speaks good English and is very helpful and attentive to your needs. All these made my stay a very pleasant experience.
Nice small family owned hotel near city center”
It is such a nice small boutique hotel. Best connection to city center. Free and very great breakfast. We had the best waffles ever! Staff really takes care organizes fair transportation and even takes care about laundary at the close by laundary. It was a great stay!
Reasonable price, middle of next destination”
recommend to visit before moving north to next destination.
