Our stay at Baan Manusarn”
Welcoming staff, room size, breakfast
We stayed one night at Baan Manusarn and despite our late arrival at 11.30PM we received a very warm welcome from the staff. It was a very good stay. Breakfast was particularly good. Baan Manusarn is like a big house where the staff makes you feel at home. We chose this hotel cause we wanted to be close to the backpackers's area ( )but we have to say it wasn't exactly nearby. We had to walk for 20 minutes. The hotel is in a very quiet area. DVDs and Books and guidebooks are available in the main room. Again, big plus for the staff's kindness.

A Baan to remember”
Location friendliness and service
Mick and I loved this small Baan. Perfectly located near buses and water taxis. Of a day the traffic bustles along the street but come night time it is so peaceful. We have extended our stay here and will definitely come again. As already mentioned by others the guy in the cafe in the lobby is really friendly and makes good coffee. The girls were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place to other singles and couples. 👍

Super friendly & helpful”
Location, friendly staff and nice rooms
We loved our stay so much we extended it and booked another 2 nights for after our travels in Vietnam & Cambodia. This little gem is located very close to buses and water taxis and only 100 baht taxi to skytrain to airport. A nice 15 minute stroll will also get you to Khaosan Road for those who wish to seek out the busy nightlife. The ladies who run the Baan are very helpful and only to willing to give advice if needed.

Big rooms in an old Asian house”
If you prefer a homey place to stay rather than a hotel, this is your best bet. Big room with a big bathroom (Wasugree). A stone's throw away from Thewet pier.
I loved the spaciousness of the bedroom and bathroom, and the firm bed. Flight arrived at midnight and the staff arranged a taxi service for 800 baht. I really didn't want to drive around Bangkok at 1 a.m., what with the language barrier and all. Though twice the cost of a regular metered taxi (which would be about 400 baht), it's still much cheaper than other hotel pick-up (quotes I got were in the vicinity of 1,200 baht in this area). Best access is by riverboat, since it's only a few meters away from Thewet pier. The only downsides I could think of: breakfast could use some variety though quantity was adequate; and one could wish for a view of the river, but that's quite minor.

Nice small feel like home guesthouse”
Feel like staying at gome
Nice little guesthouse in the old Bangkok, warm ambient. Easy access location, close to main road and river, not far from Khao Sarn road. The staff are very lovely and helpful. Nice breakfast and different type of fruit everyday. Cheap laundry service is a plus. Clean room, reasonable bed. Our room, Wasugree is very big. We felt a lot more comfortable staying here than staying at other guesthouses on Khao Sarn road.

Gorgeous room, fantastic location, warm staff. ”
Right next to Thewet Pier and 15 baht river transport!
One stop away from Pra Athit by riverboat to the mayhem that is Khao San Road. I've been to Bangkok so many times and wish I'd found this place earlier. It offers so much and you're in a real part of Thailand just on the outskirts of the tourist formed area of Khao San. You can be in Khao san in a few mins but yet get the quiet, ambient, loveliness that this guest house offers up. A taxi from Khao San costs 47baht or travel by boat at 15baht per person. The guesthouse is superbly clean, free wifi and two computers to use for free. There is a cafe on site serving lovely fresh coffee and juices, blended, iced etc and an array of cakes. The hosts are so warm and friendly. The shared bathroom situation is between two rooms and is fab. I don't think it's necessary to pay for a private toilet, it already feels like a private bathroom being in between both room and accessible directly from your room. Breakfast is simple but fab, cereals, fresh fruit and sausage, ham, egg and toast. Loved staying here so much, booked for two days and still here! Two extra days booked.

Good location, feel like home away”
Nice and cosy traditional Thai home. We felt like in home. Good location and friendly housekeeper. But unfortunately greedy and unfriendly owner. We wanted to stay longer but she asked more than agoda offered and was angry if we wanted to pay through agoda. Other than that really nice.

The owner and staff were very helpful and charming, they really looked after us. The area is lovely as well, fairly quiet which is unusual for Bangkok but there are at least two good restaurants very nearby and a good local market. It is very handy for the river ferry and also the canal ferry which goes to the main railway station and is free! We would thoroughly recomend Baan Manusarn.

I have been stay at this hotel for 3 nights while we was travelling in Bangkok. We travelled with my 10 months baby and my mom, but feeling like home. They have chair and crib for my baby. Break fast is included and quite good. Not far to Khaosan road, very quite and safe at night because it located beside the police deparment. All people are very friendly and funny. I will stay here when I come back to Bangkok.

We enjoyed our one night stay here. It's a small place with helpful and kind staff. The breakfast was decent and the room was fine. Compared to other places we've stayed for around $30/night in this area of the country, we wouldn't say it was exceptional. But, it got the job done and was a good spot.

A guest house not a hotel good for backpackers”
breakfast big room 29 minutes walk to Khaosan Rd
I booked this guest house because of the high Agoda review score 9.1! However, as soon as I arrived, I regret booking this place. It is not close to any of the BTS. It is far from the two airports. When we arrived, the lady helped us bring our luggage to the room but because we didn't give her any tips her attitude was not that nice later on. The room and toilet are big and clean. However, the shower is not comfortable cause the water is small. There are a lot of ants on the make-up table so be careful not to leave any food inside the room. There is no hair dryer inside the room. There was a mosquito biting me so I couldn't sleep well the whole night.I guess I should have turned on the air-con instead of the fan. The wifi is weak inside the room. The only good things are the breakfast is nice with fresh fruit and milk as well as many choices for beverage. The boss allowed me to check out at 1pm and she helped get a meter-taxi to send me to the airport. This lady is more friendly. This guest house is near the ferry where there is a yummy restaurant called Cook Chong next to it. The area is pretty cheap compared to Sukhumvit where I stayed earlier. The guest house is only 29 minutes' walk to the crazy backpacker area Khaosan Road!

house keeping / location / breakfast
it's really comfortable to live here. It's near the river, and you can go most of the feature spots by boat for only B$15/person, which is much much cheaper than any other kind of vehicles. And it's only take 2mins by walk to the pie, that's really amazing!! Night club " IN LOVE" really makes you in love with this city by fantastic view at night, and it's just near the pie. Strong recommend to live in MANUSARN!

Perfect place to stay in Bangkok: Rooms are very clean and confortable with air condition, 200m to the taxiboat pier thewet (15 baht PERSON...no mather where you want to go...1 Stop for Khaosan Road 4 stops for grand palace)....its a small guesthouse with 4 rooms...staff is so helpfull and kind...they organized our whole trip (Ferries, Flight, Taxi, Minibus) to the south of Thailand. We stayed twice there and we will defenitly come back to this place next time in Bangkok. One of the best places on our Thailand vacation. It Exceeded My Expectations”
Service, Value-for-Money, Location
My expectations were already quite high after reading the reviews; I was pleasantly surprised to find that my expectations were more than met. Gaew and Ann provided priceless advice on where to go and how to get there in the most affordable and convenient manner. Due to the overall ambience and the fact that there was free drinking water, coffee, chocolate and tea at any time of the day or night, I felt that I was staying in the home of an old and very welcoming friend instead of an impersonal hotel. The location was also very safe since the guesthouse was right beside the home of a member of the Royal family.

Location, staff, value
We had a wonderful time at this guest house. Village atmosphere in this big city. Ferry transport is easy and frequent with great connection to the efficient sky train. Would stay there again anytime. Beats the impersonal stays at the big expensive 5 star city hotels by far. Plenty of good quality restaurants nearby, as well as cheap and clean street food stalls. Excellent.

Super-duper friendly and helpful staff, clean and large guestroom
We had a very enjoyable stay. Staffs were very friendly. Kel, On and other staffs provided a effective and personal service. We felt very cozy and warm welcome from our first step in this guest house. Its guest room was exactly same with the pictures. Clean, large and relaxing. Its location is a little bit far from Khao San and Grand Palace but very near to boat stop and bus stop. It was interesting to go by boat. Food stalls nearby sold cheaper food and much more better than Khao San. Definitely, I am going to stay there again.
