Everything you need for a night ”
We stayed here as it was close-ish to the train station about an 20 min walk. I can’t comment on the staff as we didn’t see them. But they had the room key out by the door so it was super easy. Room was really good. Bed was comfy, aircon worked well. Bathroom was good. Room also had tv and tea and coffee facilities. Only downside is it’s a little far away from food. Although we did manage to get some good food back down by the train station it was a little hard to order as language was an issue. But if you are needing a place close to the railway then this apartment would suit you. One other con was the noise does seem to travel well and we had very noisy neighbours but ear plugs fixed that.
Used this accommodation for a few hours prior to 02.03hrs train journey to Malaysia”
There is no reception for the property but the keys were left for us with a written note welcoming us and how to access the room. The room was basic but adequate for our propose. There was lovely clean linen for us to rest/sleep for a few hours and plenty of hot water. They had even left us a large bottle of water in the fridge and there was a kettle and cups & saucers. For the price it was real value for money. It beat sitting on hard seats at the railway station waiting for hours for our train and it was about a 15 minute walk to the property. Can't comment on the staff as we never met them. Review could not be submitted without completing all fields so as we never met them that is the reason for one star regarding the staff and should not affect anyone staying here
A nice little hotel”
A nice little hotel, nice staff that both speaks English and Thai fluent. Comfortable bed, nice and clean everywhere. But a bit difficult to get to the center
Nice place to stay. ”
Bed is so nice to sleep. Spacy room. I stay for waiting morning bus, ferry to koh phangan at the station is too hard, so this place is best choice for me:) also there is a lot of cheap street food avalable!
Amazing stay! ”
I had to stay in Surat Thani for one night en route to Malaysia. I usually get hostel beds but decided to splurge, and even though it was still very inexpensive, this place was wonderful. Right near the train station, very very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The wifi wasn't working when I first got there so I sent the host a message and she responded right away and it was fixed within minutes. The wifi is great too! There's a night market around the corner as well as a 7-eleven etc. Very secure, too, as you need a keycard and a key to access the rooms. If I find myself in Surat Thani again I'll be staying here, no question.
Great place to stay for a night or 2 waiting for a train.”
A good location for if your waiting for a train. But if your carrying a lot on your back, like my wife and i were, its a bit far to walk. Nice place with the most comfortable bed we have stayed in! Cant say enough how great that was! Also verry convenient that they have pay washing machine's downstairs. Good little deck area to dry stuff after as well. It was a little difficult to check in, as there is no office. So we had to call and the cleaning lady was sent to check us in (she was very nice). We were early though, so may have been our fault. All in all, would definitely stay again!
If you need to overnight near the train station this accommodation is excellent. Large well epuipped suite complete with kitchen and dining table. It is walking distance from station however you need gps to find it. Local food stands in area. Pleasantly surprised.
Huge room at an increadible price.”
My studio apartment was huge. A small kitchen with a microwave and kettle. A large fridge, 42inch TV, dinning table, sofa and 2 beds. Morning market nearby but nothing at night. Train tracks run right next to the place, I am a train fan so I loved it, other maybe horrified. I enjoyed my stay here.
overal nice, huge room, but bathroom can be cleaner
Last minute booked ”
This place was a approx a 15 min walk from the train station, we booked it at 10pm and we did not have much expectation, when we got there we were extremely surprised, the bed was by far the most comfortable I've even slept in my whole trip in Thailand, it is a family run hotel and the family was extremely nice! The son speaks fluent English and the mother is more than helpful! We had a 10am flight and in the morning the mother gave my friend and I a ride to the airport, I would recommend this place anytime to someone I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you again for such amazing service
Wish we stayed there longer!”
We had to stay one night before departing to Samui, we picked this hotel due to cheap and convenience. But I was so impressed when I entered the room, so clean and roomy!!! Would love to stay there one or two more nights!
Not near the airport”
Disturb by early morning roll call for school. Lots of ants around the kitchen. No staff about, 15 minute walk to any shops.
Awesome hospitality, close to train station”
The place is a 15 min walk from Surat Thani train station and therefore one of the few practical choices when taking an early morning train. The room looked lovely and was very spacious with 3 of us sharing. A little outside kitchen-net, had a microwave, kettle and some basic cutleries. The bathroom, Asian wet-style was functional. With 3/4 of the walls being glass, the place took in much of the street noises. The aircon likewise seemed to struggle to cool the place, though it wasn't very hot as temperatures drop in the evening. Absolutely top, is the hospitality of the folks that run this place, hence the 4th star. Note that there is a night market that sells the typical Thai street food, or if you don't want to risk picking tummy troubles up, you would find a 7/11 shop at about 10-15 min walk away where you can pick up sandwiches, cup of noodles or even. Freezer meal. Note that there are no other restaurant options any where near (or at least non that we found out about).
Perfect to catch the train the next day”
Very locely staff. Great, comfy room for great price.
Bad location. Very dirty room”
There was a box of used condoms and gross medical cream in the night stand. The bathroom had 3 bars of USED soap in the shower. The place is nice...but in the middle of nowhere...not even a 7/11 around.
If arriving late on a train, or just needing a recharge away from tourist areas this is 100% the best accom in the area. Family owned and run. Like walking into a fully set-up apartment. Everything made easy. Easy walk from the Station.
If you night to catch a bus in the trainstation in the morning ”
We needed a cheap place to spend the night, and close to the train station because we were on the Lomprayah trip to Koh Tao the next morning. We arrived around 8pm, the key was taped at the door with a sheet with my name on it. Maybe 20 min after we arrived the very kind manager of the place came to welcome ua. He speaks an approximate english but enough to make himself understandable for basic things. He is an animal lover and offered to drive us to the station with his truck in the morning. Definitely a place we would recomend if you need to leave early in the morning. A bad smell from the bathroom from time to time would be the only bad comment for Baan Meesri
Best choice for short stay near railway station”
We liked the Baan Meesri. It's close to the railway station (10 minutes walk, easy to find) and has many food options around (don't miss the food night market). The room is large and has nice views (for trainspotters: climb up to third floor and you will have stunning views on the trains passing the river bridge), a large balcony, a kitchen and a fridge. The beds are comfortable and clean. AC worked well. Plenty of sockets to load your stuff. The owner is a friendly guy who lives next door and speaks good English. He brought us back to the railway station with his car. The only thing that could be better is the small bathroom; since there is no separation between shower and toilette the whole room gets flooded. But that's no real reason to complain.
Recomend staying here”
We just needed a place to stay for one night on our way to Koh Samui. This hotel was excelent, and Just a 5 minute walk from the train station and night Market, which was really cool and a authentic.
Great hospitality and good facilities”
This was the second room of 2 we booked. It was not as spacious as the other room but adequate. The room was clean and well equipped. The best part was the staff.
