    Loved our stay!”
We only stayed for one night but loved it! The hostess was so warm and helpful. The grounds were beautiful. We had plenty of room in our double bedroom. We wish we had had time to borrow the bikes - what a lovely offering. We did not try the shower in our short stay but it seemed nice. Also the latte at the coffee shop (where you enjoy your breakfast) was the best one I’ve had in Thailand.

    Cozy Clean Place”
Cozy clean place decorated with sixties ambient. Excellent BF especially the pork mint soup. Owner family took good care by hiring a half-day taxi to show local two main attractions. Also arranged the travel to Laos via slow boat. It is an hotel/hostel combined with pleasing experience with greenery in premises.

    Beautiful guesthouse”
Lovely guesthouse, I think it was old school or something that was changed to guesthouse. Great rooms, with comfy beds. Breakfast was nice as well, although I'm not used to eat so heavily (warm dishes) in the morning. You can also cook your own eggs there. Staff was helpful and super friendly. Location is very central, next to night market, the clock tower and bus terminal 1.

    Very nice!!”
We have been only for one night but we are very happy to have stayed here. The service has been very nice and friendly, the location was perfect, in the center, next to coffee shops and restaurants. The decoration is very nice and stylus, there is a kitchen whee you can cook whatever you want 24 hours per day, and there is coffee and cocoa free. We enjoyed it very much!

Cozy home in the middle of Chiang Rai”
We stay for a night from Chiang Mai to see the attractions. Conveniently located near market and the bus station and we LOVE the design of the rooms and the house. It is very cozy and clean and spacious. Breakfast is provided as well as free bicycle! Important to explore Chiang Rai. Note that English is fairly limited and you need to know where you want to go. The attractions are outside the city but the host can help to book you on a taxi for convenience.

    Nice value for money hotel”
This 2* hotel deserves a higher rating. The natural environment makes one feels calm and relaxed. Although there is not much amenities in the room, the hotel provides a communal space with a shared refrigerator and self service drink station. Guests can also borrow their bicycles for free. For me, the only con is noises, including conversations and even blowing of nose, can be clearly heard in the room that I stayed in.

    Pleasant and friendly”
We enjoyed the relaxed pleasantness, the patio with its plants, the casual seating, the upstairs room, the friendly owner (her son I think was a foreign exchange student in Billings, Mt. and speaks well in English, he's also running a nice Cafe' in front), and the location is in the center of things, not far from the Clock Tower.

the atmosphere is just relax, cozy quiet hotel with lots of greens located just 5 mins walking distance to the tourist spot, this hotel is special as it used to be a kindergarden.
everything slow down when my stay in this hotel, as the atmosphere is just so relax and the environment will make you forget the schedule u have planned, to spend some more time in the hotel. nice friendly owner as she used to be the owner of the kindergarden which before this hotel was transformed. you can request a motorbike rental with the hotel, they will help to call and the motorbike will send to the hotel, its was just so nice and convenient to me.

Above our expectations on every level”
    friendly environment, clean, price
From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and well looked after. The staff were available to assist us whenever we needed and went above and beyond when it came to finding someone to take us to a local children's home. Their level of English was good, in both speaking and understanding. Our rooms were side by side as requested when booked. Rooms were clean and fresh with cold air con, hot showers and comfy beds. Breakfast is as it says, a help yourself and clean up afterwards approach but we didn't have a problem with this and it was never crowded. The shared living spaces and gardens are just lovely!! A great place to relax and chat about the day and take in the atmosphere. Easy walk to the Saturday night market just a few blocks away. We look forward to revisiting sometime to a home away from home, they made us feel like part of the family :)

Homy, Owner is very attentive and clean
This is the place where I love most during my stay in Thailand trip. The place is homy and the owner is very helpful. She gave us many recommended place to go and also a driver's contact. You have to make your own breakfast but they give you the food material. Sometimes she turns the water heater off, so make sure you check it first before you go bath.

    Clean, quite, friendly owners
My stay was very nice, I felt at home. The owners were very nice, they try their best to make everyone feel at home. It is a self service so, there is a kitchen to use, really nice. Very friendly owners they are very friendly, helpful and polite. It would be great if there were some MSG free dishes for breakfast. I recommend this Guest House to everyone, I will be back again because I felt at home. I want to thank the owners of the Guest House for their kindness. Very hard to find places where one can feel at home.

Friendly and helpful staff. Owner has good taste in interior design, beautifully decorated with lots of antiques and well maintained garden. Delicious local home cooked breakfast
In the morning enjoyed waking up by the birds from the garden just outside the window. The friendly and helpful owner, Kung recommended a good private driver for a full day trip to White Temple, Toi Tung and Golden Triangle. Love her delicious home cooked breakfast. Very homey guest house.

    Location, service, rooms, breakfast.
Thanks to Agoda we were able to book this the morning of our stay. We arrived and were thrilled to see it was just as the pictures and comments described it. We were given the choice of 3 different rooms and the one we chose was just lovely (they all were). Very clean place, serene and quiet. Breakfast was help yourself to what was there and it was all good, fresh food. Located within walking distance to heaps of good eating places, the clock tower and night market. Great find in Chiang Rai!

    Big Rooms”
Free parking, free bicycles, good wifi
Good location: near to city centre yet far enough away (and on a quieter street) a good combination for me. Couple of things which might be improved: Shower - hot water is good but the shower head is situated such that the entire bathroom gets wet. A curtain seems to protect only the WC area but you have to walk through puddles to get there. In the cold winter season, not pleasant to have your feet get wet with cold water in the middle of the night Breakfast - there is rice and local food daily besides the usual bread, eggs, jams. The heavy use of pork innards, blood etc in their stews filled the breakfast room with a strong "porky" smell. A couple of Thai guests ate this food, but besides me I noticed that western, Japanese, Korean guests shunned this....and commented on the smell. So if you are a vegetarian or eat kosher, you may find this off-Putting. It is worth staying here if you are a couple or more. For a single traveller, the price is a bit high when compared to Chiangmai or other available properties in Chiangrai. Sure the room is huge but who needs all that space? The owner Ms Khoong is lovely. The cleaners, young tribal girls, are a delight. However there seems to be no manager around in the evenings. A few times I saw recent arrivals waiting to check in....or people wanting to check out while the owner ran errands. At night specially, there is only a security man. There is a substitute manager, also friendly, but there just isn't a 24 hour senior person on standby.

    like a home”
    Cleanliness and quiet environment
Chiang Rai is a small little town famous for its Wat Rong Khun and it was the main reason of our stop-over. We chose to stay at Baan Norn Plearn after reading so much of good reviews and we were not disappointed at all! This guesthouse is approximately 20 minutes drive away from the airport (we are not sure if there are other transportation available, so we took a cab at 100 baht - faced a waiting period of more than 15 minutes due to the lack of car) and located in the heart of the town - very near to all other temples and shops. We requested for an attached bathroom (good water pressure..hot shower) and we simply love the guesthouse for its cleanliness and quiet location. We spent most of our travel staying in boutique guesthouse and we found that this one offers an experience most similar to a home! We prepared our breakfast in the morning (raw ingredients are spread out in the kitchen every morning for your cooking pleasure - yup, you'll need to prepare your own and wash the dishes please :)) ) and every morning, the owner would prepare different local dessert for the guests. My favourite was the taro sticky rice. Awesome..really! Wifi and bicycles are available free of charge while motorbike is on rent for 250 baht a day (the owner will be able to arrange that for you). A bike is good enough to explore the entire place - all the way to Wat Rong Khun and Central Plaza (don't trust the locals if they tell you that these are very far..HAHA..you can even take a bicycle there if you are fit...30-40 minutes drive..so probably an hour to cycle?). We took the bus anyways and the bus station too, is quite near to our guesthouse, like 10 min drive (or less).
