Book directly instead ”
Agoda takes a huge cut and it would be much cheaper booking directly. Rooms are very basic - we stayed in aircon room but we felt were not as good as fan-only rooms during winter when it’s cold and airflow is preferred. Beautiful riverside views and friendly local crowd. Location couldn’t get better in proximity to town for this view but for the same price further out you could get better rooms. Book if you don’t care so much about the rooms itself

Great place is you love nature and need convenience to the town”
Peaceful and unique hut experience facing the river, less than 5mins walk across a beautiful bamboo bridge to the main action in town and the food night market scene. Large common bamboo platform and wooden table benches along the river. Tranquil mornings surrounded by morning mists and sound of running river. Comfortable and minimal bed cleanliness, hot showers and minimal bathroom conditions, cool fan nights and beautiful front patio. Pick a room facing the main river and not the mountain. There is paid laundry service (~30/kg baht) just next door. No free bicycle but you can rent from the city itself(~50-100 baht/24hr). Behind the accomodation, you can walk uphill to the outskirt of the town and explore to many more farms and padis. Made good memories with friendly staff and guest which made the stay even more special! Great place if you love nature, need peace and tranquility away from the town parties and bars, and need fast, walkable and safe access to the town especially at night when most roads are lowly lit. The bedroom is well sealed from bugs and exterior but the bathroom is slightly aired and opened to the environment. Tip: Do not leave your bathroom lights on at night. Do not open your bedroom bug window shield. Leave the patio lights on if you need night light. No lights, no flying ants, no lizards, happy stay. Because you are close to nature, in rainy weather, there may be more creepy crawlies in the bathroom. But if you wear glasses, remove them and you're good to go! This place has a beautiful potential!

You get what you pay for.”
We visit the place during the low season which results in that we were mainly the only guests. Clearly, they do their best to maintain the place for the upcoming high season. The location is perfect some walking distance from city center, by using the bamboo bridge in town within 5 minutes walking. the main issue for me was the beds, we booked for 3 nights but left after 2 sleepless nights on a rock solid hard bed. We booked to have a weekend break from our business in Chiang Mai but without any sleep, we choose to go back home after the second night.

Good”
Pros: comfy bed, reasonably close to town, mosquito netting. Cons: mosquito netting was torn in several places, which defeats the purpose. Also, the water heater in the shower was impossible for me to figure out. I might get two seconds of hot or warm water, which ran out quickly. Most of the time, it was pretty cold.

A lovely break on the River”
Baan Pai Riverside (Pai House Riverside) was a lovely little resort consisting of a number of bungalows, half modern and half in old bamboo style along the beautifully peaceful river that runs through the town of Pai. The staff were lovely, accomodating and friendly, spoke good english and were always available when needed. The accomodation itself was fairly basic but the modern bungalow was air conditioned, had a large bed and bathroom and a lovely little patio with small cushions to sit on. There were occasional problems with insects, but this is generally expected from resorts in this style. I would very much recommend this resort for couples, as there is a beautiful view, plenty of privacy and a lovely natural setting. While being quite isolated and quiet the property still remains in easy walking distance of Pai itself and especially the night walking street.

Great location, even better view”
I have stayed in Pai many times, rarely at the same place twice (for a variety of reasons). Baan Pai Riverside is a place I will likely stay at again. The bungalows facing the river are super relaxing, especially when you are laying back in the hammock with a good book in your hand. Staff spoke English and were helpful enough. The bamboo style huts were clean, the bed comfortable, and the mosquito net kept the bites away. The bathroom was basic yet functional, incl a hot water shower. As well as being next to the river, it is only a very short walk to the market street; a place where all your dreams of delicious and cheap street food come true. If you are happy with basic, clean accommodation that has an excellent location, Baan Pai Riverside is recommended.

Serene surroundings; Great Staff”
Had a great stay at Baan Pai Riverside. I checked in and they upgraded me to the riverside hut free of charge. Entire hotel was beautifully serene with flowers and sitting areas to enjoy the view. Room and shower were basic but you don't need much else while staying there. It was a perfect place to lounge and read a book or just simply relax. Since I was a solo traveler, one of the hotel employees Thom offered to give me tour of Pai on his motorbike. It was great to see all sights and get a feel for Pai!

Very good”
The price paid for the room was much more than Baan pai riverside was asking from other guest. I think we paid to much for 3 nights, room ok but so small no place to put luggage. Mona Sabbagh

lovely.”
The first time I came to Pai I saw these bungalows and decided that if I ever came back this would be the place I would stay, and I did! Literally the best location, 5 minute walk (if that) to the main street but right on the little river which feels so serene. The room was basic but what you'd expect for the price and with so many places to hang out in Pai you don't need to be in it for long.

Great place for nature lovers”
If you love nature, you would love this place. Riverside bamboo huts were simple and beautiful, surrounded by trees with river and mountains on front. We stayed more than a week, budget place, Wifi was good, staff was pleasant and always helpful except for the housekeeping staff who were not really eager for their job and always tried to skip it. All in all we had a great stay close to nature.

A quiet place near the busy nightlife”
The place was so quiet, calm and relaxing. Has a great afternoon nap on the hammock facing the river. Heater was not working (water was freezing cold) but the receptionist was so kind to offer me another room to shower. Lots of puppies around the area which are very friendly. Its a very near walk, just across the bridge to the night market where you can get anything you need and its only 500 meters from the bus station. Will definitely stay again when I come back to Pai.

A beautiful serene location in town ”
My bf and I loved our stay at the river side hotel. The bungalow is modest, clean and tidy with a nice outside seating area looking over to the river. Sleeping in the Bangalow at night listening to the nature was an unforgettable experience. The staff were very kind and helpful with our needs. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Pai.

Fantastic location”
Our second stay here. Basic accommodation but certainly adequate for a short stay. We stayed in riverside bungalows. Nice bed, Gas powered shower which can be a little smelly but great hot water. Very friendly staff and an adequate breakfast of fried egg and sausage and rice soup. Just opened a small bar which is nice when sat on riverbank. A few minutes walk across the bridge to walking street. Will be back!

A great little place”
I had a great time. Mr Phong (the manager) was very nice and always wanted to make sure my stay was comfortable. The rooms are nice. They had a small terrace with a hammock. I stayed in the back where I could see the mountains. The hotel is next to Pai river, so it had a wonderful and relaxing view. In the mornings they had toast and coffee, and sometimes in the afternoons, Mr. Phong would cook Thai barbecues for the guests to try. The Thai staff was very happy to share their culture with me and the place is in a good location. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely setting but beware of the insects!”
Would 100% recommend to anyone to stay here as it's in a lovely location- a 3 min walk to the Main Street in Pai but feels like you're in the countryside as it is that quiet. Really nice bit at the front with seats/hammock etc which was great to watch the sunset. Only criticism is that the bathroom was full of bugs and there were also numerous slugs in there! I know it is not he fault of the staff but the bathroom does need to be sealed off from the outside better as it's just not nice sharing the shower with a slug!
