Comfort and location”
Stayed 3 nights at Baan Silom Soi 3. It's 200 m down Soi 3 and tucked away inside from the road, there is a small 7/eleven across the street. It was only 5 minutes stroll from the famous nighlife and nightmarket at Patpong. A very warm and welcoming little place with only 5 floors of rooms. Very friendly owners and staff! It's a simple but comfy little place more like a small serviced apartment or guesthouse, reception is just a table with computer and there are a few chairs and table out front on the terrace, no swimming pool, restaurant or fitness room just the most important commodities, but enough for my needs. You'll get a magnetic keycard to open your door and you get to keep it with you all the time during your stay. My room was on 5th floor, it was big with large bright windows facing the skyscrapers of Sathorn Rds, making it a nice view at night with all the lights. Big very comfy King Size bed with 8 pillows, if you'd like to have a pillow fight! Big fridge with a few soft drink cans in the Minibar, and also 2 free bottles of Chang water supplied every day. There is also a water container downstairs with a few snacks free of use. Bathroom also big with good lightings and a window for some natural light to enter. Aircon was very strong, and I found it a bit noisy at night even with the fan on low. Wardrobe was in the bathroom without doors and it had a safe big enough for a 14 inch ultrabook. Shower-head was attached to the wall and there was no hose to use to rinse your body. Soap and Shampoo was in 2 small dispensers. TV was tiny and old with only a few channels some very blurry. Window has blinds instead of blackout curtains, so the room gets pretty bright in the morning so no sleep after 08:00. There was also some constructin noise from a building across the road starting from 09:00. I could also hear some noise from the owners apartment on top at 07:00. Hotel is also guestfriendly but only one guest at a time, and they'll keep the ID-card downstairs.
Great location , spacious rooms, delicious Thai food nearby and train stn within walking distance!”
Baan Silom SOI 3 is a great place to stay. Great location , spacious clean rooms, delicious Thai food nearby and train stn within walking distance. The bathrooms are big with the requisite hot water. Drinking Water is delivered in your room everyday and coffee and snacks are available in the lobby. The room has no kitchen but there is a big fridge for your left overs and a communal microwave oven on the 2nd floor. It's a very good place to stay in Bangkok and will stay here again.
I am very happy I booked at Baan Silom Soi 3. I had an excellent stay. Big and airy room, staff are very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The location is very near the BTS Sala Daeng and Silom. I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to Bangkok.
Simple, Clean and Friendly Safft”
I had a great stay at Baan Silom Soi 3. Room were large enough with a king size bed, clean and comfortable. Staff are amazing, very friendly and efficient. Location is in between 2 BTS stations about 10mins walk from either way.
I booked this hotel because of its good review and value for money. In term of awareness among taxi driver- I think it is not so well known: My taxi driver from airport is not aware of its location- have to call the hotel. Even so he missed the hotel when the taxi was along Baan Silom Soi. The taxi hailed by the hotel for me to airport also missed the hotel. Hotel may wish to make its signage more prominent. Taxi fare both ways is about 400 B each way including toll (you have to pay for it). The hotel does not offer breakfast-it is ok as there are many eateries along Baan Silom Soi, including a 7 eleven that offers microwavable food. The hotel room is big with a cupboard for clothings and personal safe located inside a big toilet. Bring along toiletries (including hair dryer) as hotel only provide shampoo and bathing gel. Hot water is a bit tricky-need to wait for the water to warm up. Overall the location is good-5 to 10 min walk to sky train station and along Silom road you get shopping malls and night market. For budget traveler this is a value for money hotel and if you bear this in mind, the hotel is great.
good location ，big room , clean ”
every time in bkk , baan silom soi 3 always my first choice .. very clean room , nice location , and friendly staff
Ideal location ”
Great location to explore Bangkok, good size rooms large bathroom set back off the road Soi 3 very quiet at night pleaty of restaurants & street food in silom Road 2 min walk, 5 min walk to sky trains friendly staff I be back,
Great value just off Silom”
Excellent value. Great location behind Bangkok Bank. Easy to find on Silom Soi 3. Friendly staff from front desk, security, cleaning lady. Spacious rooms with large fridge. No toiletries. Bring your own.
Felt like at home, hygiene and comfortable room”
I have been staying in this hotel for more than 5 times almost everytime i come to Bangkok i choose to stay at Baan Silom Soi 3 because this area is in the center of evrywhere, near BTS station, friendly staff and owner and on top of that the room are spacious and clean.
I have been staying at the Baan Silom for many years. The location is what keeps bringing me back. The staff is always nice. But in recent years I have become more disappointed in the hotel. Soi 3 has become a busy side street. Very loud motor bikes and tuk-tuks have ruined the once quiet soi. If you are unlucky to have a room in the front of the hotel you will be kept awake until very late by the noise. When I book with Agoda I always ask for a quiet room. But the hotel is become popular so the last two times I have had to stay in one of the front rooms. The facilities are not as great as they once were. In my room the toilet button was half broken, the cover for the electric outlet was broken. In the evening the WiFi is too slow to stream programs now. Even during the day the signal simply drops. This last stay I woke up to find I had received a number of mosquito bites during the night. After that I wore mosquito repellant when I went to bed. Not sure I will ever go back again.
Bed bugs were a dissapointment”
This was my second stay for 2017 but I was very disappointed to find my bed in room 403 had bed bugs on Oct 9th 2017. The strange thing was I was not bitten on the first night, just on the second night (maybe the bedding was changed??) The staff changed my room when I showed them the bed bug I had squashed and there were no problems in the other room. The hotels location is good, other than the walk to Si Lom road is difficult due to no sidewalks in the narrow Soi 3. The rooms are quite well equipped for the price (room safe, large refrigerator and decent sized room). English language TV options would be nice. I'm a bit nervous about my second stay for this trip, in a couple of weeks time
A little gem”
Do you know for 20 years I lived on the same soi as this hotel. Although back then there was no hotel. Great location, 2 minutes from skytrain and Central Silom. If like me you prefer smaller hotels then this is the place. Staff are friendly and helpful with free coffee and tea in the lobby. Rooms are spacious and extremely clean. A short walk to Pipat 2 with loads of good cafe's and restaurants. You must try Sam's Fish & Chips the best in Thailand, very cheap and a very unusual setting.
Inexpensive hotel nearby a hightlife district”
This inexpensive hotel is located on Soi Silom 3 just on the opposite side from Soi Tawan. The location is very good if you want to have a quick access to the Patpong nightlife area. Sala Daeng BTS station is also just a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. However the room itself had somewhat dated appearance, in a need of renovation. The conditioner was rather weak - it took until the morning for the temperature to drop to 25 C. On the plus side, the area around the hotel is very quiet. There is no bars or discos. So, my sleep at the night was very good. I spent just one night in this hotel but think it was a good value for money.
Pleasant and Comfortable”
Last minute booking this hotel through Agoda. Baan Silom Hotel is excellent hotel with friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Room rate is very reasonable too. Few mins walk to night market, shopping centre, BTS and MRT. There are many nice restaurants and good food in this area. What else’s can you expect? Will come back and recommend to friend.
I am satisfied with my stay at Baan Silom Soi 3 because they provide a clean & comfortable room. Its near to the food street and BTS.
Had a wonderful stay at Baan Silom. The place seems like an old residential house transformed into cozy hotel rooms. The room is spacious and it has the basic amenities you need.
You get what you paid”
I stayed 3 nights there and requested an early check-in. It is really good that they can offer me a room even I arrived early. Here is my feedback: - Room is big enough for a solo traveller, bigger than those I stayed in similar price range in Silom - Decoration is a bit old - Air-con is noisy - the curtain cannot block the sunlight so that each day I have to wake up early - Service and wifi are good - Free snack and coffee/tea bags at the reception - Bed is big even for 2 people with 4 big pillows which is comfortable - the hot water in shower is not stable and the shower head is somehow broken - no teethbrush provided (but it's ok for me as I prepared it for my own) - Location is good as it's near the night market, about 1-2 mins. About 6-8 mins walk to Saladaeng BTS. One thing they need to improve is the cleaness as I found a small cockroach in bathroom. I am used to book another hotel but that one was full so I booked this one (and slightly cheaper than the one I want to book). Besides, when you walk along Soi 3 you have to be careful as the pavements are very narrow and there are also notices saying snatches with motocycles may pass by so you need to be careful your personal belongings on your way between hotel and the main street. I would consider this hotel again if I cannot book the one I am looking for as it is better value compared with others in the same price range.
Great service, nice room, good location”
I have stayed at this hotel many times and still loved it as the best one in Bangkok. The service is great. The room is spacious and nice. The hotel is close to MBK station and many restaurants, bars, malls and Silom night market. Recommend this hotel!
On balance, a good deal...”
Very clean rooms, conscientious staff, and prime location off Silom. Minimal furniture and accessories (no in-room hot pot, for example). Shower spacious, but tepid temperatures and meager water pressure. The hotel is located part way down Soi Piphat--no sidewalks and heavy vehicle traffic, hazardous to the unwary pedestrian!
Large rooms, basic but well maintained”
The rooms are large, clean and well maintained. Good sized TV screens but only BBC and a multi-language station for those who need English TV. The fan cooled patio area downstairs is pleasant enough to sit in. The Wifi connection speeds can be a bit variable. Soi 3 is quite narrow and has no real footpaths to walk along making the walk to Si Lom Rd a bit hazardous. The front rooms can be a bit noisy.
