Find hotels near Baan Tai in Ko Pangan, Thailand

We found this location by accident on the internet and this place is amazing. The rooms/bungalows are located in a lovely garden in the middle of the jungle. For us it was a perfect place to stay for a longer time (3 weeks) The room was big, clean and and in a perfect condition with a big soft bed, and even a desk so you can work on your computer. (Really good internet connection.) The family owner are the best. So helpful in all matters . You will need a motorbike to explore the surroundings. We loved every moment of our stay here and can recommend this place to anyone looking for a private, quiet place in lovely surroundings.

Resort is ok - 3 stars is the right rating . Staff are nice enough. Location is equidistant between Haad Rin and Ban Tai. So it's quiet which is good, but no amenities are close by. It's a 10 min ride either way to nearest set of shops etc. I did have my own small bungalow to myself though, which was nice Only annoying thing was the aircon was very loud and sometimes I had to turn it off to sleep. Aside from that it was ok. Furnishing and deco is a bit dated, but resort was clean and tidy and looked after.

Time melts away at the Silvermoon. Their amazing staff provides everything you will ever need. Their cooks are some of the best on the island. They cook amazing Thai food as well as other western favorites. Their pizza and falafels are a welcomed break from Thai cuisine. Heinz and Nhut are amazing hosts. They make you feel like family. We visited during the slow season between full moon parties, and it was a perfect pace for us. We were looking for a relaxing getaway, and that's exactly what we found at the Silvermoon. We will certainly stay her when we come back to Ko Phangan.

I found this place last minute after arriving to Koh Phangan (like I booked it as we got off the ferry). As soon as we walked into the reception area the lady at the front desk was very friendly! It was very quiet so if you are looking for a party zone this isn't the place but if you are looking for a relaxing quiet room near the beach The Scenery is well worth your money! (less than 20 steps to the beach!). The only bad thing I have to say about it is that it is quite far from town and 711s so you definitely will want a scooter if you stay here. But my girlfriend and I enjoyed walking the beach to town which takes 30 minutes or so but we didn't mind. The rooms are simple, but clean and I felt like all of my belongings were safe there when we were gone. Definitely check it out if you come to Koh Phangan for some relaxation, I would stay here again for sure! Cheers

Golden beach resort is a family run resort. Once we arrived, we were warmly welcomed n greeted by the owner. We had a good talk. He shared the interesting things to see with us. The events happening in the area. It was a great start of the day as we talk to the owner. He is also a coin collector. If u have some spare change of ur country currency give it to him. Better still, if u have paper notes, he would be very happy to change it with baht. We got the room on the beachfront. Spectacular view. Clean. Seeing star shine in the nite. N listen to the crashing waves lullaby before we sleep. The resort is also about 20 mins to haad rin. Haad rin beach is the best. White sand breathtaking view. Rent a motorcycle for about 150baht /day. N you can explre the whole island.

We grabbed a great deal on agoda.com for $9 room with shared bathroom. Loved it! The hotel is easy to find. The taxis know where to go. It's a little outside of town, in Baan Tai on the mountain side of the road. The beach is a short 3 minute walk down a driveway across the street. At low tide you can walk to other cool beaches to the left and right once you're by the sea. We preferred the beaches to the right. The staff greeted us warmly. It seemed like the whole family plus some were all living there. The room was on the small side. It wasn't it's own bungalow but a room in a building with two shower/bathrooms at the end of the open hall. There was a bed, tv, and two tiny chairs. We often moved the chairs to the hallway to hangout outside. There are no screens in the windows and I have to say the room got hot. We opened the windows and sctually didn't have any problems with mosquitoes. Maybe bring extra rellepent or a net just in case? We ate a few meals there. They were good but a little on the pricey side which is the only downside to staying on that part of the island. Not a lot of restaurant options. There are a few little shops that sell chips, beer, water, etc. down by the road. The pool was my favorite part. We always had it to ourselves. It was clean,deep, and cool. So nice after spending the day at the shallow beaches. If they had more availability for the cheap deal, we would've stayed longer. Not as crowded as other parts of the island. Very quiet. 20-30minute walk along the road to cheaper restaurant if you don't want to take a taxi or have a moped.

My boyfriend and I booked the AC hut for two nights, we booked this area as we were going to the half moon. I personally do not like Baan Tai but thank goodness for our little haven of a beach hut at Blue Lotus. We loved our stay, it was so peaceful, our room was a good size, it was clean (except we had an army of ants using our room as their pathway)!! We ate every meal at Blue Lotus because the food was amaaaazing! Especially the spring rolls and vanilla milkshakes!! I highly reccomend these! The owners were the kindest and nicest people we have yet come across on our travels. He even dropped us off to the pier which saved us pennies in getting further up the island, so so kind. It's about a 25minute walk to. 7/11 but a few shops are along the way which are likely to have what you need anyway. The beach is quiet but not the prettiest part of the island, however Blue Lotus have a stretch which isn't too bad. I wouldn't hesitate in coming back to Blue Lotus! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I booked at the Thong Yang some days before the full moon party, getting the last bungalow they had and this proved to be a great choice. It is a family business with very well equipped bungalows (wifi, fridge, huge beds,large rooms, great view, private beach) located just some minutes drive from the full moon party area (so I could be in a peaceful place while very close to the action). I enjoyed so much my stay there that I changed my plans and stayed two days more. If they don't have reservations you can have a late check out without many problems. Just ask the owner and you will find a way. This is actually why I loved this place. It's not a corporation that will try to get money from anything you can imagine (seen that everywhere in Thailand) but just a smiley family willing to help you with anything you need. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anybody, from young couples to solo travellers.

We came to the hostel and they told us that they are fully booked (we booked and payed already) so they brought us to an other resort - fully booked aswell. We were really annoyed already! But at least they brought us in the end to a small new hotel with a better standart - is was really nice there and the last night we stayed in the river sand resort which was really okay! In the end of the day it was really good but still annoying to have all that packing and so on..

Fair warning, we booked through Agoda, but Agoda apparently books through Booking.com. So if you come by and say you booked through Agoda there will be some confusion. That's okay though, they will have your name on the reservation list. That is what happened to us. Bring your own towel for the beach, they do not allow their bath towels to be taken on the beach. Overall nice place.

Located right on the beach and just 10 minutes from Haad Rin, I found this spot to be exactly what I was looking for in Ko Phangan. The beach is private and not crawling with tourists, and the property is quiet at night and still easily accessible to all parties and activities around the island. I stayed in a very basic bungalow. It was outdated and could have been cleaner, but the location, price, and accommodating staff made up for any flaws at this property. I would stay again.

We had such a nice stay! Run by a great, accommodating family. They cook amazing food, let us keep our bags there after the stay was over, and drove us to town/the ferry stop! There is a gorgeous porch area with hammocks to chill out. The room was clean and had a nice shared balcony. Location is great, not too far from the beach/ restaurants/full moon party, but quiet and away from the thick of the action. highly recommend!
