Nice place to spend a nightAll top OK except the air conditioning which was a night mare and could not be adjusted in a way that the bed was no longer in a draught. Fiddled around with the remote control to no avail, switched off the thing to get a few hours rest and left bright and early in the morning before 7 am. Should be attended to without delay please.

Fantastic value.for the low price i paid, this hotel is amazing. the rooms are very comfortable, clean, and look very new. the location is set about 100m from the main road, so you'll have to look for the unmarked road entrance (it's a few dozen meters east of a shell station), so your best bet is to get a tuk tuk and let the driver do the searching. it's also very quiet and peaceful, so you can get a good night's sleep. the staff are a little hard to get hold of ( the reception seems to be mostly empty ), so i had to give all my requests to the cleaning lady who spoke no english, but with hand gestures and plenty of smiles, i got what i wanted ( bike rental ). all in all, a fantastic place to stay and i would happily stay here again if i ever return to nong khai.

Nice hotel but hard to findThis hotel is set back from the road so it's quiet but hard to find as there is no sign in English visible from the road and you have to ask some people. The hotel itself is just a few rooms built in the last year or two. Each room has a front door opening to its own small deck where you can sit outside. The rooms are a reasonable size and very clean and well maintained. Definitely happy to stay here again and good value

    Great little place to stay.”

    Cleanliness, Location, Room quality.

It would help if you can speak a little bit of Thai when checking in. The owner is a lovely lady but can't speak much English. The rooms here were spotlessly clean and everything looked brand new. Great service here the lady arranged a free taxi to take us to the bus station. Great location on a main road but set back so it was very quiet. Highly recommend this place.

Great Hotel, Great Price, Bad Location”

Good Price, Comfortable Room, Good Internet

My stay at Baan Tawan was great. The room was clean and the AC worked well. The shower was clean and nice. The location is very odd. It sits really far back from the main road and there is no sign on the main road that says "Baan Tawan" This made finding it a pain. The tuk tuk driver stopped and asked about 5 different people and never figured it out. I eventually just told her to go about her business and used Google Maps to find it myself. It's pretty much behind an auto mechanic. Also there is a huge building being build directly behind the hotel and the construction is really really loud.

    Nice relaxing stay”

Comfortable beds, good location, pretty surroundings

It was nice and comfortable staying there, a bit hard to get to because my tuk tuk driver wasn't sure where it was. There's a review on Tripadvisor with a picture of the sign from street (it's in Thai) that you can use to show your tuk tuk when you arrive. It was very serene and tucked away into a nice little space. There was parking too if you've got a car with you.

Nice and quiet but construction behind hotel in AM”

Comfortable bed, quiet PM, and sweet smelling room

Excellent stay EXCEPT for the ridiculous construction in back of hotel that started at 7AM with the loudest, banging noises until afternoon. NOT hotel's fault! Hopefully the construction will not be too many months and the place will have good, quiet neighbors.

    Friendly and English spoken owner

Right in the heart of the city yet you can find quietness and peacefulness. 1 min walk from the hotel to the main road. Hotel provides motorbike/bicycle renting if you wish. Free coffee and tea are provided in the morning. Hotel is always clean and the owner is friendly and English spoken. Very convenient and safe hotel. Must stay if you plan to visit NongKhai.

Clean, well designed room with great service

i booked this hotel online, but what i found was that this hotel was far better than what i had seen online. the hotel was small, but extremely clean and the staff were more than accommodating, before, during and even after my stay with them. the location of the hotel was set back of the roadway, but very good as it is located on one of the main streets. i would recommend this hotel to anyone who was thinking of staying in nong khai hands down. fantastic value for money!!!

The Staff at this Hotel are very Helpful and Accomodating

Stayed at the Baan Tawan resort for two nights. The room was very big and the beds were comfortable. It is in a very quiet location and there is a nice seating area outside your room. You can get Tea and Coffee on tap from the reception area which is almost next door to the rooms. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay in Nong Khai”

Proximity to town centre and riverfront. Lovely staff

Tucked away down a lane but in easy walking distance of the riverfront and city centre we were very pleasantly surprised by find this hotel lives up to the glowing reviews we had read. The rooms are very clean and offer individually controlled a/c, barfridge, tv, good sized bathroom and a nice balcony to sit and relax. The owner is just lovely and makes you feel so welcome. As we don't speak Thai whenever we would ask her for something she would be off in a flash to get someone to assist us. Nothing was too much trouble. When we checked out, she was there wanting to assist us with our luggage and wave us goodbye, with a warm beaming smile. Our stay at Baan Tawan was a memorable experience

very good price for high quality rooms

i really liked staying at baan tawan hotel. the hotel was more like a family type, cozy place. all building and rooms looked new and were very nicely maintained. as other guests mentioned, it was not that easy to find this hotel, but it was located in one of the main streets and easy to access other attractions. i will certainly come back and stay here again.

nearness to city, good equipped rooms

The hotel is not situated directly at the street, it is in the second row. Therefore it's a little hard to find, but also very quiet. It is about 10 min walk to the Mekong and probably 15 min to the market. The staff is very nice and helpful, there are free transfers to the airport or the bus and train station available. The room I slept in was equipped with an aircon, fridge, double bed and the bathroom offers warm shower. I enjoyed my stay very much and recommend this hotel to everyone else.
