"Staff are nice and helpful."

Located on the 9 km stretch of Baan Na Dan Beach in Nakhon Srithammarat, guests of Baancivilize Resort are just 30 minutes away from Samui by ferry. The resort provides privacy and seclusion while offering convenient access to the more tourist packed island. From here, guests can explore the Angthong Marine National Park, go dolphin watching, and island hopping. Each of the beachfront villas include a private pool and an outdoor seating area to enjoy the sunsets. Baancivilize Resort is a quieter alternative to Samui, but with all the activities that the island would provide.
"Staff helped as best they could."

Great location with modern rooms”
This resort is for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The resort is located on 9klms of uncrowded beach. By uncrowded I mean the only life you see is a few Thai fishermen and maybe 3 dogs in a day. There are other larger resorts close by but they don't seem to have many visitors. The staff are very helpful. When we enquired about more english speaking tv stations on the tv in our room they had a tradesman there within 1 hr to hook up a new box so that we could view more sport and news stations. We also had breakfast and dinner served on our front verandah overlooking the beach. You will see one of the most spectacular sunrises you will ever witness. You will need to hire scooters or a car to get around otherwise it is a fair walk into Khanom town. There isn't much traffic so it is fairly safe on the roads compared to other parts of Thailand. Do yourself a favour and book the beachfront rooms. The little extra cash is well worth it. I would have no hesitation in returning and highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a nice quiet holiday.
Fabulous Hotel, Private and Beautiful”
Fantastic hotel in beautiful Khanom. The beach is spectacular and very private. If you are lucky you may get a chance to view the famous pink bottle-nosed dolphins just off the shore. They travel south-to-north in the mid-morning (around 9 or 10AM), and back north-to-south in the evening around 5 or 6PM. The staff were very very friendly and accommodating and even brought our breakfast to our room for us when we asked. There are two sections to the resort, each with it's own pool. There appears to be more construction being planned at the resort. I would highly recommend.
Fabulous Hotel, Private and Beautiful”
Fabulous hotel in the middle of Na Dan beach in Khanom. We originally were only planning on staying 4 nights but after arriving we decided to extend our stay to 1 week because we were so pleased. The breakfast is ok but nothing spectacular. We didn't have any other meals at the hotel. The beach is very, very nice and very private as well. The whole week we were there we only saw maybe 7-10 other people on the beach anywhere in sight. The rooms are nice and modern and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They'll even bring your breakfast to your room if you ask. I would highly recommend.
This was my 2nd stay here. The staff is always great, the rooms are nice, but can use some maintenance. They just installed a lovely new pool and the new restaurant should be finished soon. The only major complaint is that they should clean the beach in front on the resort daily, it would have made my stay perfect. I went to other locations around and saw that they kept their beach fronts really clean. If you are a coffee lover, you must try Khanom Coffee in town, the owner select his own beans and was trained in England.
Quiet and peaceful break”
So lucky to have been told about Khanom Beach from a trusted friend as a great place away from the more obvious tourist hotspots. Baan Civilise was the ideal place to stay... close to everything with friendly and accommodating staff. The beach is amongst the cleanest I have seen in Thailand. Food is great at hotel and other options are close by, in particular their neighbour LeeLoo Cabana has great food options too. Loved it! Rooms are huge and quite luxurious - grateful for the restful visit
PARADISE FOR UNTOURISTY LOVER 💗”
For UNTOURISTY LOVER, THIS IS PARADISE 💗 💗 Our Best Beach Experience Ever 💗 💗 We got the most special room in th resort - Beach Front Room # 1 😍👌 💗 The solemn sound of the beach as no presence of crowd. 💗Its like we own the beach shore as no other humans there, other than the 3 of us. 💗 The food in the resort is the best, among the food we eaten in Surat Thani. 💗 The people are friendly and nice to us. 💗 The perfect place to be in Surat Thani - Beach, Food, and People 👌 💗
Good location/food nice stay for relaxing”
The room itself it nice, next right to the pool but the slide door next to the pool couldn't be open. It can be noisy as you can hear people talking, playing in the pool. The staffs are very helpful, they pick us up from Sri Khanom hotel where the connection from NST airport. We also rent the car from hotel which they contacted the local car rental but it was really dirty. The location is great, you can easily go to Khanam's market and it's right next to the beach. The food is also good, much better than near by restaurants. But the hotel doesn't have much of the green area, it's hot during the day and we can hardly find the shade of the trees to lay down.
I love Khanom. It’s such a peaceful Aumpur. The resort is tranquil and close to beautiful beach. Staff are nice and helpful. Love it!
This hotel is good in value for the beach front modern resort with pool access and romantic beach and sea view through the glassy windows, not very busy and even the breakfast wasn't very nice but I guarantee it's one of the beast breakfasts you could find in this area. I have been to another known-to-be better hotel but this is what I prefer.
Good value hotel on the beach”
We enjoyed our stay at Baancivilise. The only thing that irritated me was the staff performance. We arrived early for check in and were told we couldn't check into our room until the normal time of 1pm. So we waited around by the pool for two hours, and at 1pm were told the room still hadn't been cleaned, so we had to wait around for another half an hour. The hotel was very quiet, why couldn't they prioritise? We were looking into wedding venues in Khanom, and when we asked if the hotel would be able to organise the wedding, they immediately said no. Strange attitude to something that would bring them a lot of money during the off-season! Besides the staff, our bungalow was directly on the beach which was lovely, and having 3 pools in the hotel meant that you could always find one that was empty. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.
I love Khanom, but wouldn't stay here again”
Khanom Beach in Nakhon Si Thammarat is one of my favourite destinations in the world - a stunning stretch of golden sand, warm seas and still not much development. Unfortunately Baan Civilize isn't on the best stretch of beach, is miles away from everything, and doesn't have its own facilities. So unless you have your own transport, a lunchtime bite to eat can be a long hike.
Baancivilize for newlyweds is best”
The hotel was nice and comfortable. We were a little disapointed when we arrived because of the location and the uncalm water. After a couple of days when we figured out how to get around it wasn't so bad, but I think that a place like this would be best for a romantic holiday for newlyweds that don't want to leave the room or the resort. We were unlucky with the weather at the beginning and were unable to get into the pool as it was too cold and the ocean was too choppy. On the third night one of us was bitten by a big centipede around the eye while sleeping. We spent about two hours at the hospital and were too drugged up from pain killers to do what we planned for the next day. The centipede thing is not really the resorts fault cause bugs can get in, however it really did ruin the holiday. All in all nice place, bad location and not much to do.
The Baancivilize has an excellent location right on the beachfront and the design and layout of the property is well thought out and offers many options of accommodation for travelers. That however is the end of the good points. The property is in dire need of maintenance and some form of upkeep and the breakfast offered is one of the worst i have encountered for a property of this price. I asked for tea with milk but apparently there was no milk. Selection of food was mostly Thai which i don't have an issue with but sharing the food with multiple insects and flies was off putting. Overall the staff were disinterested (other than a really friendly girl at check in) particularly in the dining areas. It is a real pity that a property like this that was once a bit of a jewel in the crown has been reduced to its current state. I would not recommend to stay here.
Nice room but cleanliness & landscape need to improve.”
We stay at the resort for one night at town home 3 bedroom. The room is large, comfortable equipped with furniture and basic facility. We were impressed with the room however, we found that cleanliness of the room need much improve. They were leafs and dust everywhere at the entrance and inside the room(table, refrigerator's top). We having one dinner at the restaurant and found that food are quality and reasonable price. As i stayed at the resort before, my previous experience is far more better than this time. The resort could be a 4 star or luxury hotel if landscape are well looking after and improving cleanliness. Lastly i think big renovation is needed. We probably stay again at the resort!!
This is our second time staying here. The only negative is that the original rooms on the beach front are just a bit run down are not as spruced up as last time. A bit of paint and tlc is all. That being said everything else was great. Staff including security were all attentive and helpful. I dropped 10,000 baht on the ground without knowing it and the young lady ran after me with the money! ( probably a months wages ) Another example please is they didn't have any red wine for my dinner on the beach. It wasn't a problem and I had made another choice, but somebody tool off on a motorbike and bought some at some market so I had wine with my meal. All sorts of nice little touches like that. It's also a bit out of the way with few Western guests ( another bonus ) so was nice to be a bit secluded There are lots if great restaurants close by in town and a few beach bars a short distance away as well. We'll go back again and I would recommend to anybody looking for a nice That Boutique Hotel experience. They are adding on and expanding next door and the new area looks to be outstanding. Recommend for sure! Alan
Cozy Resort right at the beach”
We stayed for one night only, but we wished to stay longer. The Resort is right at the beach, clean and wonderful. Absolutely recommendable. The only thing we found inconvenient was the breakfast selection, which is quite limited. But the taste was good and everything was oaky with the breakfast we chose.
Relaxed beach town”
The hotel rooms were amazing. The resort itself needs work. They need to put up a wind barrier in front of the restaurant area so you can sit and eat when it is windy. The pools were lovely and the staff was nice. The grounds need to be fixed up so that it is more comfortable to sit out and look at the water.
This place has lots of rules!”
Besides the view of Khanom which is serene and beautiful, Breakfast is quite bad. The resort asked what we would like to have from yesterday but the quality of ABF is like something that was put in the fridge for so long. There is no taste of ham or bacon. The room have many doors but the hotel does not allow us to open by pose a sign all over the place, which make scenery looks bad and blind the view. Moreover as visitors, I would like to relax. This place has lots of rules!!!! No foods from outside, only swimming suit, dont open the doors, don't make noise, have to have breakfast on time.
With limited rooms but every room is having a nice pool view. However, the staff is not standby in the hotel for 24 hours. They will leave around 9pm. We only reach the hotel around 10pm for check in and they worry that we might not be able to find the hotel in dark (no light at the entrance). They call us and wait for us at the road side. The room is clean and spacious.
Beautiful, Clean hotel.”
This is a nice, cosy and modern looking resort. The service staffs are very helpful and friendly. Only setback is the internet which is very weak. And to get around, it is best to hired a car or motorcycle as it very hard to find a cab there. Overall a very good experience which I think I would go back again.
