Excellent host, charming building”
Very kind host, took time to chat with us and provided infor. Had all facilities (kitchen, laundry etc albeit basic to be expected). Rooms could be cleaner (a bit dusty) but beds were clean. Charming building with some interesting history. Excellent for a relaxing stay, recommended if you're in the area.

Been around the world but never knew that paradise was on my front door. Reminded me of when i was a child and reading those books like Enid Blyton wrote,those ones about rambling houses full of nooks and crannies,passageways here there and everywhere, leading to rooms,kitchens,libraries,stairs that go on forever,exits on all sides,just a wonderful old three storied building. Rooms simple in taste,the old windows that i remember from sixty years ago to let the cool breezes come in, a sink beside the bed even. Loved the place and Gary the manager is casual,informative and anything you require he will do his best to facilitate,including directions to the local eateries whether it be breakfast,lunch or tea. My wife and I stayed an extra night we were so impressed,well done Babinda Quarters,we’ll be back.

I travelled to this place, arriving early/mid afternoon. I could not find anyone to attend me. There was a message on the reception desk to phone a mobile number. I did not have my phone and did not stay.

We both absolutely enjoyed staying at Babinda Quaters. The amount of hard work and dedication put in by Maggie and her support to turn a wonderful solid building into fantastic place to stay without a doubt was a grand effort, and is worth a visit to soak in the character of a bi gone era with a little touch of mod cons. If you are lucky, you may be able hear a few tunes cantillating down the corridors from the music lounge. Will be back
