The loveliest staff and gorgeous pool ”
The friendliest staff we have come across in our 6 week stay in cambodia- go above and beyond to help you! (organised bikes for us to ride around the temples and a tuk tuk for our departure) also the best breakfast- not just the usual, they served eggs benedict, french toast etc. really lovely pool- location a 15 min walk from town but it was on a lovely quite street and restaurants still very near by! Could not recommend more!

Great outdoor setting”
The common areas of Baby Eleohant are very charming. Lovely eating patio amid trees and nice decor. The pool is great right of the small bar. It's a salt water pool, so that was nice. The staff is extremely hospitable - almost over the top - but they are actually quite sincere, I think. The drawback is the rooms. While adequate for the price, they don't seem to be designed very well. The bathroom door blocked the toilet and the hooks to hang things on we're way in the back. I think more hooks around the bathroom and main room would be good. Also, the bathroom lacked a place to put toiletries - no countertop. That would be good too. And there was no bedside table. Electrical Outlets had international plugs, which was great, but near the bed is where one needs to be to charge at night, but still be near your alarm. It was a sweet setting though a bit of a walk to the main eating and shopping areas. But tuktuk said were always on hand. And the food was great.

Great value in a quiet, serene location. ”
We absolutely adored Siem Reap the moment we got off the airplane. Locals were smiling and joking with each other, welcoming you with a big grin. The Baby Elephant property is a quiet oasis. You can have breakfast in the small garden courtyard or lounge by the pool with a cocktail. The rooms are slightly dated but very clean and the beds are comfortable. What makes this hotel "boutique", though, is it's wonderful, attentive staff. Their service is impeccable and they really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Our tuk tuk driver, San was so kind and informative, we almost didn't want to leave when he dropped us off at the airport. He really made our trip complete. We cannot wait to stay in Siem Reap and specifically at the Baby Elephant again soon.

Very disappointing”
Issues:- a) thin walls and lots of noise. There's some sort of Buddhist temple or monastery nearby. They started pumping noise out of the stack of marshall amps at 7 am on both mornings I stayed here. There's also construction taking place right next door to the hotel. That also starts around 7 am including on Saturday. These external noises probably aren't helped that the doors to the accomm block are kept fully open. There was no construction activity on Sunday. Also at the end of the corridor in the accommodation block I stayed is a social area with sofas, books and games. Again around 7 am there noise filling the corridor and going through the paper thin walls of a kid repeatedly clicking the counters from a game of connect 4. b) My spouse and I reserved here based on being told vegan food can easily be provided. When we went to breakfast on the first morning:- * We asked what was vegan on the breakfast menu * The server suggested the muesli * We asked what milk this was served with * The server said dairy milk * We thus instead asked about the vegan cooked breakfast and asked if the bread is vegan * The server said one of the owners is vegan and always has the vegan cooked breakfast with a baguette * We thus requested vegan cooked breakfast * When this was brought to us it was brought with butter At this point our confidence in their ability to provide vegan food was shattered. The vegan breakfast itself comprised of bread as mentioned above along with baked beans, 1/2 a tomato and very tasty scrambled tofu. It was pretty underwhelming not to mention the lack of confidence in it being genuinely vegan. On our second morning there we decided to skip hotel breakfast and instead took a tuk tuk to have brekkie at Vibe Cafe in the town centre. c) One last point; the bathroom is somewhat grotty and needs a proper clean of the tiles and the grout.

A little oasis in the heart of a bustling, breathing city ”
Fantastic little guesthouse in a "quieter" part of Siem Reap with beautiful service and setting. The staff are the highlight, particularly Ms Kim who was so happy and helpful. A beautiful pool and bar, beautiful dining room in the garden and air conditioned rooms. The highlight for us was standing on the balcony watching the sun set. It truly is a magical place.

Great little hotel with pool ”
This was a perfect little hotel for us to relax in between temple visits. Fairly good restaurant, happy hour, and a decent size pool. We stayed in one of the budget rooms which was a good size. The only thing I would mention was the bathroom could use an extra clean ever once in a while. Be patient when it comes to their free breakfast as it is breakfast by order so it just takes some time-worth it when every order comes with fresh mixed fruit. Staff was unbelievable helpful and always friendly. Location was great too, just a short walk to pub street or a quick tuk tuk ride but far enough away to be away from the noise.

Nice hotel. Great staff. Mr Wong, the Tuk Tuk driver was fabulous. The fitness room needs developing or withdrawing as not enough equipment. Clean. Comfortable. Welcoming.
