Great boutique hotel”
Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the local sites. Nice people and nice hotel. Owner always around for a chat and kind help. Food is okay, go for the local dishes on their menu. Take tuktuks everywhere. Easiest way to get around!
The staff were friendly and quickly took care of any issues we had. The breakfast was good and the packed breakfast option was good. The salt water pool was very good after a day of sweating in the heat. Thanks for an amazing stay!
Thank you! Are crystal clear salt water pool is waiting for your next visit! ;)
An excellent respite from the heat.”
Good facilities and good pool for the kids to cool off. Food and drinks were excellent. Staff were very helpful. Although down a lane a bit out of the way this did not inhibit our enjoyment of the hotel or the area.
I loved so many things about Baby Elephant. The staff were fantastic--friendly and attentive. All of the owners were down to earth and genuinely cared about their guest's experience. Breakfast was included with my room and it was a substantial breakfast. Not only that,I am vegan and was THRILLED to find vegan options on the menu. Some people comment that the hotel is not located close enough to the centre of Siem Reap but I found the location ideal. I walked everywhere and liked that the hotel is situated on a quiet road away from the noise and partying that takes place closer to town. The grounds are awesome -- lots of lovely areas to sit-- and the overall aesthetic of the hotel is tasteful and funky. In short, everything was great and I highly recommend this hotel.
Thank you for your kinds words! We will be waiting in anticipation for your next visit! ;)
Great hotel away from the noise”
Very quiet backstreet big room with good facilities . The best thing was the staff they were amazing even though we were staying only one night they made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble
An amazing retreat with easy access to everything”
My family had an amazing stay at the Baby Elephant. From the moment we arrived, we were absorbed by the fun, relaxing, and trendy vibes. My daughters were instantly attracted to the pool with its Instagram worthy surroundings. We were not in Cambodia long, but we ended up eating many meals by that pool. It was a perfect way to unwind after exploring the temples and city. The food and drinks were really good and healthy tasting which can be hard to find while traveling. I also fell in love with all of the local products they had for sale in the lobby and we liked seeing the little jewelry workshop on the premises. I found a few lovely takeaways that will always remind me of my time there. We had a freak plumbing issue with our room the last night, and although we had to rush out early that morning to catch our flight, the staff stayed in communication with us and resolved the issue so our only memories are happy. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area!
Thank you for your kinds words! Our guests satissfaction is always paramount! Till Next time ;)
Hi, I just stayed one night for business purposes. Room cleaned, quiet environment. Bathroom clean too, I could stay for breakfast but from the tables I could see it looked yummy.. I'll certainly stay again there. Thank you.
Thank you for the mention! ;)
Budget rooms are just that budget - seemed expensive for Siem Reap”
I booked this room as I wanted a early check-in as was not available with my other booking. The room is like a backpackers, pictures are misleading to some extent. The shower has no screen and is with the toilet, used things are provided! There were mosquitoes on arrival which seemed to stay around. The safe was not bolted to the desk. Air-conditioning was very good. There is a jewellery maker on the ground floor and was very loud, so couldn't sleep which made booking the room as a early check-in... pointless. The other 9 nights I stay in a premier room which was much better, even the classic double is 100% on the budget.
Very friendly, helpful staff, welcoming atmosphere and great facilities.”
Great stay at baby elephant, a short walk to the centre, pubs and bars but really relaxing stay. Lovely little pool, great breakfast when in the hotel (a little disappointed by the breakfast boxes to take away though). Overall a great stay - would recommend to anyone who wants the perfect mix of chill time and exploring the city and temples.
This is THE place!”
This is the place! No need to look any further. You will love it here! A bit off the beaten track, which makes relaxing at the pool even more enjoyable. The staff is fantastic, rooms are spacious and overall we are already feeling bad about advertising this place so much, because we want to book there again quite soon! Really great value for money!
Great Hotel - well worth a stay”
Had a great stay here. Easy check in and check out. Owners and staff are a great bunch who make sure you enjoy your stay here. Located a 10 min walk ( or $1 tuktuk ride ) away from the markets and pub street. The rooms have aircon and are clean. WiFi was pretty good and the pool was a good temperature and kept immaculately clean. Tried the food off the menu - great taste and cheap. Would stay here again and looking forward to doing so.
Rumahmu make me feel like home. ”
This's my first time to write a comment. I'm so happy to give this to rumahmu hotel. This hotel give me a perfect memory of siem reap. The host vivi made me feel like home. And she have fixed and answered all my questions about the city and my tour. The room of rumahmu is clean and comfort. And the most important thing is that I feel safe to live in this hotel. I can go out to my room with door opened situation , because all of the guests in this hotel have quality. I can't really use the exect word to explain that felling. And the staffs in this hotel are very young people. You can feel the energy from them in every morning. And their services are perfect because I really feel the passion of them. And last there's still have a little disadvantage of rumahmu that is you have take a tuk tuk to night market or walk around 10 mins to there. And not every tuk tuk driver knows where exactly the rumahmu is. So you should take a map of the hotel in the night time. That's the host gave at the first movement when I checked in.
Amazing low key luxury”
I stayed here for Five nights on a solo trip to Siem Reap. Baby Elephant made my stay! Absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxed with just a touch of luxury. My room was really comfortable, the pool area was great. And the staff were friendly and helpful. The day starts with breakfast and there is a great selection of both Asian and western dishes. All really well prepared. Bea was especially helpful when it came to organizing things to do. I did have a driver to go to the temples, however, the location is so nice it’s just an interesting 10 minute walk to the night market and pub street. So I walked a lot. The happy hour cocktails were great, and I ate there a couple of times and the food was excellent as well. The property attracts a nice mix of people, so even as a solo traveler there was a nice sense of community. Just an amazing play to relax and chill out. I would completely recommend it.
Amazing review! Thank you for taking the time! You are definitely our type of guest and we hope to see you in the near future! ;)
Good food, good drinks, good staff, good value. The staff was so helpful with booking excursions. They had the best bruschetta, which was very surprising. Excellent mojitos. I can't say enough positive about our stay. My one minor complaint was that our air conditioning wasn't really working, but I would come back in a heartbeat if it wasn't so far from Minneapolis.
Thanks for reaching out! We are glad you enjoyed our little Oasis! ;)
Overall a pleasant stay”
With a good employee and environmental ethos and quite surroundings we had a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly & attentive some lacking in English which made resolving issues problematic. The grounds were relaxing and not over crowed, although smaller than pictures suggest. Meals were of a good standard with western options. Fast wifi which was great. There are tuk-tuk drivers waiting out the front to take you places, as it is some distance from the main areas of Siem Reap. A $3 ride will get you most places. It's about a 15 min walk to Pub Street. A few quality restaurants near by. The air conditioning struggled during the day, I would probably stay in a different room next time as the top floor or premium rooms are basically in the roof. You can feel the heat radiating from the ceiling and we were there in winter. A couple of issues with the room (no plunger coffee, free water or wine on arrival) which can occur in any hotel. I would stay here again.
Thank you for your kind words! You are always welcome back anytime! ;)
Perfect stay in Siem Reap”
Planned to stay for 3 days and stayed for 5. Very friendly hotel, very reasonable, quiet part of town, with comfy beds. We used to walk into town, or get a tuk tuk. Staff were very helpful. Nice pool to dip in after a busy tour. Would definitely recommend.
We are Glad you enjoyed your stay! Till next time ;)
This was a wonderful place! Just as it was described on web page.”
The food was really good. Better prices and quality when compared to restaurants we tried. The staff were wonderful. Happy Hour wad great. We loved the salt water pool especially after exploring all morning. I can't say enough good things about Baby Elephant!
Thank you so much Johanna! We do have the best value for money and our staff are the BEST in town! Take care till next time! ;)
Good for short stay”
Good for short stay. Overall for the price not bad. The ethos in terms of training locals in hospitality is good. The ladies great. The chaps a little mixed in terms of standards, however this seems standard for SE Asia that ladies are smarter and work harder. Food at a decent level and pool good for cool down after long arvo around the temples.
Excellent staff, excellent value!”
We loved our stay here. For $34USD per night, we got a spacious room with 2 beds, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. The room was clean and beds were comfy. Air con works well. The hotel offers free a la carte breakfast, you can select from 5 or 6 different choices. The food at the hotel is great. They also offer free filtered water so you can refill your water bottle. The salt water pool is lovely and very refreshing on a hot day. They have lounge chairs and a bar at the pool. The staff at Baby Elephant are extremely attentive, kind, always helpful and smiling. They helped us arrange our tour guide and transportation for Angkor Wat and even packed a breakfast for us to take on the road with us. There is always plenty of staff around to help you with anything you need. The hotel is around 10-12 min walk to Pub Street and the Night markets. You can take a tuk tuk there for $2 or $3 USD. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Siem Reap.
A great stay”
Had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a few nights in November, can't rate it highly enough......staff were friendly, helpful and not overbearing! Swimming pool was beautiful with the wild flowers hanging around it, beer was cheap and very cold, food was lovely! Room I stayed in was quite big, had a safe and was well looked after! Breakfast was my favourite meal of the day here! Baby elephant hotel is trying really hard to be eco friendly, simple touches like having free water coolers located around the hotel were great to see, guests encouraged to re-use towels are also welcome! It's a 2minute tuck tuk ride into the pub street madness or a leisurely 7-10 min walk, perfect! As a solo traveller it was really lovely that the owners introduced us to other guests as well! I've never reviewed anywhere so highly before, but wish this hotel well with its caring band of friendly, local staff!
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
