Find hotels near Bach Ma National Park in Hue, Vietnam

To reach the hotel you have to walk 1km up, even if you have luggages,nobody will help you. No welcoming. We just gave us a key to the worst hotel room ever! The walls are covered, from bottom to top by mold, the bathroom is just insalubrious, the ceiling covered by mushrooms, the walls by condensation. The "hotel" is not isolated AT ALL, when staying at 1500 m of altitude in a rainy forest you can easily imagine the atmosphere in it. Totally wet, the smell was awful, no power before 5.30pm until 11pm, in the morning no power at all. The bedsheets were, of course, wet and dirty. The breakfast was no choice: instant noodle charged 10 times more than the price you buy it in any convenience store. The room was charged $35, I can tell anybody that after 4 years and a half living in Asia,I have never seen that! Just outrageous ! + service ZERO

The best thing about this place is the cleanliness. Towels are provided (they even had shampoo and conditioner). The beds are pretty hard, but standard issue South East Asia. We had two small double beds in one room for thirty dollars a night. The quantity and variety of food available does rely on your ordering in advance. A local family had arranged a campfire and barbequed meat (which we enjoyed), but we were lumped with noodles and egg for breakfast. The selection is limited and tough if you're veggie or a picky eater. You may end up with just rice for dinner...It's worth it though. Bach Ma is one of the most beautiful places in Vietnam and the staff try their hardest with limited Vietnamese to help you! You have to appreciate that you're really high up and you're in a national park, so it's hard to provide a five star service.

So...Agoda owes me my money back....upon arrival to the park this hotel is within was advised, park regulations, must pay double the hotel fee for the ride in their car to the hotel. You tell me: fraud or merely exploitive deceit? I emailed Agoda immediately stating cancel, never heard back....hmmm. My VN speaking friend called the hotel...no help. The park ranger staff said...all Agoda customers always royally pissed off due to this deceit. My advice: 1. avoid. 2. Agoda, come clean with your ad. 3. Agoda, refund my money. Randy...
