Downtown Family Hostel”
Downtown backpacker with stores, restaurants, pier and beaches around walking distance. The family is super welcome and nice. My locker was too big for them so they went to buy one smaller for me while I was in my tour. Moreover, breakfast ,(2 good eggs and bread) is offered in the morning. They are really helpful and always around. The only bad part was the bathroom because of the smell, but i guess with so many travelers.
Good Location in the Centre of El Nido Town”
Room is large and comfortable for the price paid, however the bright light on the balcony area is a bit annoying at night when trying to sleep. All tours and motorbike rental can be booked with the reception staff who run a travel/tours company directly opposite the property. Good value, free breakfast, very central.
Great value for money”
This was one of the cheapest option we found in El Nido and we were really happy about it: - the girl at the reception is really nice and helpful. Were able to rent a motorbike and buy our bus tickets with her. - breakfast was very good - room was big, but bathroom very very small - not too hot with the fan. - wifi was good most of the time, even in the room !
central with breakfast. ”
Is a guest house very central.... In the middle of town... Near all Restaurants and 2 min from sea side with many bars and restos to drink. They include breakfast and a terrace to sit and drink tea. Cold shower.
I will stay there again if i go back to El Nido”
You get what you pay for. And it was Cheap. My Room was Big .The Bathroom was small but it didn't bother me.The Fan did the trick. Free coffee and water all day in the nicely set restaurant overlooking the life in the street below. But the best thing are the girls (staff ) . Very nice , Very helpful and Always smiling .
Worth it for backpackers!”
The personnel was too kind to allow us to stow our bags hours before our check-in. The place was near the tour assembly - in fact near the El Nido port where all the tours begin and end. The place was comfortable. Our room has 2 queen-sized beds, pillows and blankets. They also provided us with a table and an extension cord. Towels were also provided. The only downside is that the washroom was tiny and as per publicity there is provision for a water heater, but it was not installed in our washroom. I was a little disappointed but the beauty of the place overly compensated it. It's still a good place to stay! Thanks, Bacuit Lodge! :)
Cute place ”
Myself and a friend stayed here in a fan room for one night. it was relatively bearable in the night even with no air conditioning which was a pleasant surprise. when we checked in the lady did say we could turn on the air con for extra fee if we wished which was nice as not many places offer rooms with both fan and air con options. breakfast was also included in the price - toast, ham, egg and a banana, was a nice way to start the day. there is also a place to fill your water up on the premises. overall you get what you pay for in the room its a no frills place but very tidy and run by lovely people, would recommend
Fan room for 2-3 pax”
you will get what you paid for. Cr is so small and the bowl flushes slow, shower is not usable since the water flow is weak. Breakfast is good and they have free coffee and purified water. This is recommended since it is cheap and has the basic necessities plus breakfast.
Cheap place to stay”
Pros: Very affordable place, good if you are just going to be on island tour whole day. No sense in staying in an expensive place and you can't enjoy the facilities. Breakfast in the morning is filling: one rice, one egg, one viand, one fruit. Not so bad. Unlimited coffee and clean drinking water displayed in the common balcony. Good water pressure. The first time I went to El Nido I had a very bad time with regards to bathing because water was scarce then. This time there was no problem. Nice Aircon. It was cold at night. Nice staff. They are very helpful and will consider your requests. Cons: Location isn't really near the beach (from the description I thought it was). It wasn't far though around 5-10 mins walk. Also very near all the eateries downtown so it's not a bad thing at all. No place to put your clothes. Other than the bed and a small table, there wasn't even a place to hang your clothes except a clothesline outside for wet clothes. Most hotels in El Nido don't have one.
2 thumbs up to gwen the staff”
even we have some complaints like poor wifi, the staff handled us well. she was still smiling despite of our change of minds in the what tour to take. hotel is near the beach and a lot of food restaurant in the area. the staff handled our tour, van going back to puerto princesa ,etc. will definitely be back
Very nice stay for our holiday”
I travelled with my mom to give her a well deserved break. The fan on our room is stuck to one side which makes the other side of the room hot. We ended up using just 1 bed instead of 2 even after they lent us a tiny fan. But other than this, everything is wonderful. They have service water and free flowing coffee. When we asked if we can use their kitchen to cook the mussels I bought from the market, they cooked it for us and even removed it from their shell! There is a fee but it's very minimal considering the extra effort put in. Their staff is also very attentive, 1 request and just a minute it's done! They also gave us our own mobile wifi. the signal has some issue which I think is applicable for the whole town but at least we get to have connection inside our room instead of just in common areas. The bathroom is small but fully functional.
Stayed at Bacuit for 2 nights. My fan room was clean and cold at middle night. Room is big enough for 4 people. Breakfast was fine, quiet street. --- toilet was bad smell and need to provide warm blankets. Mi Nguyen.
Best Lodge in El Nido Town Proper”
Must be the best lodge in El Nido. Staff is very friendly! Exceeded what is expected from him. Location is in the heart of town proper, walking distance to everywhere in town. Quiet place and very comfy stay. Free wifi! Free breakfast! Highly recommended. I will stay again for sure when im back.
Didn’t actually stayed there”
It’s hard to rate this hotel as we didn’t even get to stay in it, that’s why I put all in the middle. When we arrived they spinned a tale about bad WiFi preventing them to stop bookings coming from Agoda, but mobile data reception is fine in El Nido and Agoda should know how much rooms are available, not the hotel responsibility to stop the bookings. Anyway, they put is in a nearby pension which was ok, and we had to go to atthemoment hostel across the road for breakfast (I think it’s the same owner for both hostels). Breakfast was tasteless and they didn’t even have tea.
its just right!!!”
if you want to save money then this is one of the best place to stay in... the staff very accommodating, she will answer and assist all your queries. the location wise is just in the center of the town besides the municipal, its 5-10mins walk to the pier and the beachside food. the room is so so only dont expect so much, maybe the floor can improved more like maybe they can wax it, its so sandy, toilet quite small so i cant recommend it to the big size tourist. food, is just a normal/ typical filipino breakfast.... but for me its just right because no need to get full need to do island hopping and i dont want to vomit during the trip...
don't clean room during stay, or replace towels
Basic, but get what you pay and did the job. ”
Basic, but get what you pay and did the job. Friendly staff WiFi wasn’t great. Good area though away from crowds and noises
DO NOT STAY HERE... filthy, mosquitos, cockroaches!!”
We booked this last minute and I honestly wished we had just slept on the street for the night. We booked a family room but they had no record of our booking when we arrived (don’t think they checked emails). They said they had no family room so asked us to move to a smaller room. We asked for a discount when they somehow found a spare family room. The room was beyond disgusting. Dirty floor and mattresses, mould on ceiling, bathroom door kicked in, broken window covered with a bit of wood, toothpaste and marks all over the mirror. They didn’t give us toilet roll, towels, pillows or A KEY to lock the door! Mosquitos were everywhere - all over the bed. Woke up covered in bites. Cockroaches roamed the bathroom too. No WiFi in the room although advertised. We are budget backpackers, we don’t mind a place that’s rough around the edges. But stayed in cheaper and cleaner places than this in El Nido!
Please do not go to this place ”
The pace is very noisy, staff don’t care. No toilet paper, no soap room durty. After spending more than two months is the Philippine this is my worse experience.
