Excellent”

This place is simply paradise for nature and underwater lovers. We stayed 5 nights in Tree house, which was spotless, spacious and had amazing sea view. The only issue I had with was that food. It was bland, tasteless to me, I didn't enjoy it much, no desserts, most of the time we got just the watermelon (we stayed there in May). At our check-out they tried to overcharge us with the higher prices of tours (they did have different prices at the reception and different ones in the room).

Amazing place off the beaten track”

We absolutely looooved our stay at Bagus retreat. The staff were so lovely and couldn't have done more for us. The scenery is out of this world and the ocean is beautiful. The kids loved jetty jumping and snorkelling. Just be careful of the monkeys! they can get into the fridge and they love chocolate milk and baby milk powder. Beaut location off the beaten track - there was only 2 other small families there when we were there. One thing that would make me return quicker would be if Bagus offered their own boat transfers from Mersing. The ferry from Mersing to Tioman and vice versa was an experience in itself - trying to volley for seats! All in all awesome place :) but a different boat to get their would make it a little more easier to access especially with young kids.

first when arrive according to Agoda I supposed to pay at the property. then the hotel told me not accepts cards they need to take their info and send to Kuala Lumpur office so they can charge me ! I tried that not work out... they said better cash but no atm no online payments so I check out 2 days later and pay their office in kl with PayPal such a headache place. and their beach is terrible all stones can't walk 1 step without foot wear. keep it bad coz thats only way fit it.

hertil gik vores bryllupsrejse, vi bestilte 3 nætter efter vi havde undersøgt alt på Tioman Island, da vi først var ankommet med speedbåd og oplevet stedet, træhytterne på klipperne ved havet, personalet, atmosfæren, det manglende internet bestilte vi yderliger 7 nætter. Vi snorklede bandt koraler, eksotiske fisk, havskilpadder og revlehajer. Dette sted lever op til drømmen om det uberørte enkle resort bygget i lokal byggestil i træ med sandstrand, palmer og sol. Vi nød hvert sekund.
