little, simple and sweet place in an old downtown”
I like how "simple" it is. I feel that everything (furniture, toiletries, even their food) is home made, done by hand. If you look for some good simple healthy breakfast (we had yogurt, fruits and coffee), this is a good place to go. You can also come visit the restaurant to experience as well. About the breakfast, we weren't ready for that kind of breakfast, especially my boyfriend. But we liked them.
Excellent location! Located near San Pedro Church and City Hall. Also, it is very accessible to PUVs and diffrent establishments. Room is clean and spacious especially the comfort room. Beddings and pillows are also clean. TV signal is good, with local channels only. Breakfast is good, with bread, yogurt, jam, fruit, and coffee. Their homemade yogurt and jam is really delicious! 😋 Overall, very budget-friendly. 👍😊
Place was cozy and makes you feel at home. The staff were friendly and were very accommodating to any of our questions. The room was clean and comfortable. A nice place to stay after a busy day roaming around the city. Plus points for offering a Food tour as they help you embrace and enjoy the local food.
STAff are very accomodating. Attends to our requests well. Their Food is also great. But I hope they make their signage in the street a bit bigger and clearer so guests will not get lost.
Home Far Away from Home”
A quaint inn right in the middle of the bustling city of Davao. Rooms are clean and tidy. There's also a restaurant where they serve very good food. For thrifty travelers who want to spend more on other things like souvenirs, this is the perfect place for recharging.
For budget-conscious travellers”
It's an inn, period. Don't expect anything grand, it really is for budget-conscious travellers. Stayed at a couple room. AC was cold but was located at the foot of the bed facing the right wall, so the cool air couldn't reach the bed even with the air swing on. Room smelled old & musty. Had insect bites as soon as we entered the room, which I later found out was due to the open window. You could hear faint music from outside even with windows closed. Cable TV was a joke - working channels were only like 5 out of 50. Bed was noisy and would squeak even with the slightest movement. Bathroom had no bidet or at least a "tabo." There wasn't any kind of divider between the shower and the toilet, so the floor would get soaked. The only good things about this inn: 1. Free breakfast consisting of toast, butter, jam, homemade yogurt, and coffee 2. Location - pharmacies/convenience stores nearby, and walkig distance to Museo Dabawenyo, San Pedro cathedral, city hall, some parks, and some restos
overall good needs improvement on facilities”
the place nice. most of the staff were also nice except one who was a bit rude when I ask her if they could fix a defective shower because i was really having a hard time using it bcoz almost all the water spills from its tube. she instead ask me if when will I check out and if I'm gonna stay long. so in the end of my 2 nights stay, they did not fix the shower. i doubt if that staff ever mentioned it to others. i had to take off the shower head just to get much water flowing while taking a bath. wifi is working at the lobby and resto area only the jam and yogurt was great!
Nice family atmosphere accommodation. ”
1. The two single beds was hard to sleep on because of the hard leather cover. 2. Need handrails both side of stairs for safety. 3. We ordered grilled tuna that was super dry and tasted like two days old leftover. Like eating dried copra ( dried coconut slices), those should NOT have been served at all. 4. We asked to replenish our toilet paper but no one did until we asked again that evening after we got back in the hotel. 5. However we were seasoned traveler and did not make a big fuss but rather we were happy to have stayed in a nice
Had a good feeling ”
I have been to a number of places in the world and has stayed in several accommodations. At this point in my life, I'm confident in terms of accessing conditions of accommodations through pictures. When I saw Bahay ni Tuding Inn & Resto, I was drawn to the aesthetics of the place and had a good feel towards it. Though we got a bit lost in finding the area, the place was worth it.
The place makes you feel like you are staying at a hotel. The room is very nice and the staffs are very helpful and welcoming.
value for money was good , clean, near in malls and restaurants
The location is good you may opt to take a jeepney for more adventure. We do like the free breakfast, their homemade yogurt is so yummy! Hope they would install bidet in their toilets
It's so clean and they have a very friendly staffs. They have the best yogurt too.
Just across the City Hall and close distance to parks and marketplace. The place is quiet with quaint interior and they serve homemade yougart, yummeh!
I had a great stay here. The staff is very helpful. Roshel and Rochelle were fantastic about helping with any and all of my requests. The place is quiet and secure with an excellent cafe just off the main street. Easy to get around.
I love how the beddings and pillows smells fresh and clean.Pillows are soft, we had a good night sleep. A budget friendly inn with well maintained and clean rooms. Homey feeling. A walking distance to tourist attractions like Museo dabawenyo,Davao city hall,San pedro Cathedral, Osmeña and Rizal Park. The inn served a healthy breakfast. I just notice the guard on duty is always busy with his laptop. Not attentive.
Each time I go to Davao, staying here is a must. A lot of character here.”
Tucked away behind Mercury Drug on San Pedro Street (via the little alley next to Mercury), this place is a bit hard to find for the first timer, but everyone knows where the Mercury Drug is on San Pedro Street, it's a stone's throw from Chow King, Dunkin Donuts, and even San Pedro Cathedral and the Municipal Hall. This is a great place to stay if you want to catch downtown fesivities during the Araw ng Dabaw every March or the Kadayawan every August. This place makes their own jams and yogurt, so make sure you try those on toast, and I always put some in my yogurt too. Few places around town make me feel as welcome as Bahay and have this much character. I'll be back in March, 2018.
It was a good stay!”
Stayed here for 3 nights, it was a decent inn. The room is clean and nice. The bed was comfy. The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is good, near to the church, city hall, restaurants, and market. Thanks for the warm accommodation!
quiet but central”
We stayed during the Kadayawan festival and being set back about 50 metres from San Pedro was quiet. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not worth having. The menu had juice butter and jam together with toast and coffee but we got dry toast and jam and had to ask for butter and were not offerred juice .
I actually have no idea choosing a hotel that is very near to the venue of the activity I attended. I based my choice because this hotel has a very good review from its customer. It is situated in one of the oldest commercial districts of Davao City. Its name is very conspicuous and theres no way of getting lost. To my surprise the hotel is very HOMEY should I say. From its design up top the interiors, its very FILIPINO. The surrounding is very quiet and theres ample space for vehicles. Dont be deceived by the pictures you see in the internet. Dont miss this hotel when in Davao for youll always feel home staying here.
