One of the best hotel in Chiangmai”

I have stayed many times in Baiyoke Ciao and this hotel has not disappoint me so far. The rooms are nice and big and the price is very reasonable. The food is Dude Café downstairs is nice and not too expensive. There are also lots of local food and cafes just minutes walk away from this hotel. Warm Up club is less than 5 minutes walk away. Staff is always very nice and polite and service standard had always been maintained at the top. However just do have to take note that there are quite a few mosquitoes in the room during my stay this time last week. So for those who cannot tolerate this, you might have to look out for other hotels.

Nice hotel, good location, big rooms but hard beds”

Spacious rooms, good location, friendly and helpful staff

We had a nice stay at Baiyoke Ciao. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and pleasant but the mattress was quite hard. It was clean but a little worn out. Keep in mind that Nimmanan is a busy street and even though we were on the top floor in the back, we could hear the noise from the street (tolerable). Breakfast is totally not worth it, there are plenty of options very close, but note that most open at 10-11. If you want an early breakfast you can order some of your liking at the hotel's cafe for fairly good prices. It was very helpful that we were able to have a late check out (at 6.00pm) for an extra 800baht. If I were to visit Chiang Mai again, I would probably stay in the same area but chose a hotel in one of the sois. Steps away the main busy street, the atmosphere changes dramatically.

excellent facilities for the price”

Ninman area is some way from the historic centre but, thanks to the University nearby, has more life under Covid than the central tourist areas. Baiyoke Ciao has better facilities than most hotels in its price range, particularly the pantry-kitchen, separate spaces for eating or working, and laptop-size safe deposit box.

baiyoke ciao - great location and spacious room”

great location and spacious room

we only spended overnight at this hotel and also need to leave hotel early morning, we didnt need much facilities so we selected this hotel. the price is inexpensive while their location is very good, on main road of nimman. the hotel also got coffee shop in front of hotel and open till quite late. we booked one bedroom and the room is very spacious. the hotel is new but i think they can do better for the design as there are many nice small hotels in chaingmai. baiyoke ciao gives the feeling of serviced apartment more than the hotel.

"The urban hub of Chiang Mai'”

Heart of all the bars and clubs of Chiang Mai

this is the urban hub of chiang mai, where the bars and pubs and night clubs are. it would be equivalent to soi thonglor/soi ekkamai of bangkok. there's plently of japanese, korean and international food.the hotel is very new being only open at december 2010 rooms wise: stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. very large sized and furnished well - apart from the coach. very uncomfortable! they need a new one. lobby: very basic desk as a reception. facilities: a small gym area with 4 gym equipment and some dumbells. no swimming pool there's wifi which is alright. there's also a carpark and is very angled. was scared to go in the first time as i though the car will scratch as i rented it with avis! hotel has a good restaurent bar on the left and a cafe with on the right. both reasonablly priced breakfast is inadequate. its not filling at all and i'm hungry within the hour.

Huge Room, Centre of Nimman Road, Helpful Staff

I go to Chiang Mai with my parents and book for 2 rooms. I got free upgrade to one bed room for my parents. Hotel is like service apartment. There are microwave and electric stove in the room. The location is easy to access to others area with red van. On my last day visit, I have checked out and leave the luggage to the hotels. Hotel staffs are very helpful. They saw that there are nothern style chilli paste (Nam Prik Noom) in my luggage. They help bring my food to put n the refrigerator. Location of hotel is in the middle of Nimman Road. You can enjoy your nigh life just step out of the hotel.

location near nimmanhemin's night life

I stayed at the studio apartment at Baiyoke Ciao hotel. The rooms are well appointed with lots of space. There's a kitchen and microwave available which is convenient for long stayers. The cafe on the ground floor serves good coffee at a cheap price. Wifi is stable. There's many quality restaurants and cafe in the area.

fun family get-away hotel”

great location, large clean room, and friendly staff

We go to Chiang Mai alot and have stayed in many different hotels. This is definitely one we will be going back to. It is in a great location and the rooms are very large and inexpensive. We didn't eat the hotel breakfast so I don't know if the food is good, but there are so many great little restaurants in the area, you probably wouldn't want to waste a meal on a hotel breakfast anyway. The only bad thing about the room was the bed. It wasn't very comfortable and it made a lot of noise. We have a small child and so any movement in the bed was enough to wake him up.

Good Location and Worth for Price Paid”

Location and Price

the hotel is located on chiangmai's most famous street, nimmanhemin road. the location is very convenient whether you are travelling from the airport, or going to the central city of chiang mai. also, there are lots of chic & cool restaurants surrounded by just walking distance. the room is properly segregated into the bedroom, and the kitchen. basic kitchen amenities, such as microwave, dishes, are available. the bedroom is small, but clean and beautiful. the decoration is so chic and match with the style. the only pitfall is amenities in the bathroom which is very limited. however, we can request for additional shampoo & showering gel. overall, very good value for the money paid.

Clean, Spacious, Great for this price range”

Affordable, Close to Nightlife, Good Coffee Shops

Baiyoke Ciao is a student apartment turned into a hotel. They did a great job of renovating but many parts still feels like a budget apartment. Rooms are spacious and clean - wooden floor was very slippery though I guess they'd just waxed it. Location is great if you are looking to stay around Nimman where all the hip coffee shops, art shops, and clubs are located. Hotel also has a bar and cafe in front. The photos and reviews were better than the actual experience... but the cheap price makes up for it. Stay here if all you want is a clean place to sleep.

Excellent service, quiet location, lovely hotel!”

Staff, cleanliness, location

I absolutely loved my stay at Baiyoke! When I arrived I was told they had double booked my room (a studio) and I was going to receive a free upgrade to the 1 bedroom! They also gave me free breakfast (I only booked the basic no breakfast room) for the duration of my stay because of the mixup. The hotel itself is very clean and modern. My room was amazing, with a nice little kitchen area, big screen TV, huge bedroom/bathroom, and all the comforts of home. They have a cafe and restaurant at the hotel. I never tried the cafe but the restaurant was pretty decent (though a bit pricy). There is also a 7-11 next door to get odds and ends. The location is nice and quiet, close to a lot of (higher-end) shopping, dining, and bars. It's a bit removed from the night market and stuff, but after spending a few days in the midst of all that this was a welcome relief. I can't recommend this place enough!
