Great stay in Coron”
My first time in Coron and I checked most hotel reviews and Thad how I found Balaibinda. The hotel is 3 star Philippine standard. Do not expect 4 or 5 stars in Coron. This part of Palawan is undeveloped that's why it's called last frontier and that's tue beauty of Coron. Staff is so accommodating and rooms are being cleaned daily but you have to let them know. We had our breakfast at the rooftop. Airconditioned worked well. Bathroom is small but hey like I said this is Coron and not Ayala Center. I would stay here again next time I come back

Nice, comfortable & budget friendly hotel”
We enjoyed our stay at Balaibinda Lodge. Our room is neat, comfortable and nice. They clean our room and change our towel regularly as we requested. The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is situated at the center of town and very near to everything. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Coron someday.

I arrived in Coron at around 7AM knowing that the check-in time for this hotel is at 2PM but I still decided to go straight to Balaibinda to see if I can leave my things there while I go around the island until 2PM. When I arrived, I mentioned that I booked with Agoda and they immediately knew who I am and was immediately given a welcome drink. I told them my plan and they said that it is possible for me to be accommodated earlier as the guests who were still checked in our assigned room is leaving early. However, I was excited to go around the island so I told them that they do not have to check me in earlier. I arrived in the hotel at around 5pm already and was happy that they already put my things inside my room. I only stayed here for one night as my friends arrived the following day and already booked a house good for 7 people and I am happy that I stayed here for my first night. Though there were frequent brownouts, the generator automatically turns on after around 3 minutes and all rooms are equipped with ceiling fans unlike in other more expensive hotels. The management have successfully planned this lodge to make guests feel comfortable.

I would definitely recommend Balaibinda Lodge to other travelers because of it's location, safety and accommodating staff. It is located at the center of Coron Town and very near some food establishments and shops. The room was also clean. The staff was also accommodating and nice.

Simple but has great value for money”
Although the pictures of the room were ok, we didn't have any expectations since we got our hotel room very cheap. However, we were surprised how nice the hotel is. We stayed in a 2nd floor triple sharing roadside room. The room was small but clean and comfortable. There was hot shower and you can borrow a hair dryer on the front desk. The Lamayo breakfast set (Lamayo is specialty of Coron, I think) was very good. Even our Japanese friend love it. Our room in second floor has few mosquitoes (but still bring mosquito lotion just in case we were just lucky). The staff were very helpful when we ask for directions on restaurants we saw on blogs. The lodge was also in Coron Town Proper so almost everything was walking distance. If not (i.e. Mt. Tapyas), you can always take a tricycle for 10pesos per person. The only downside is that it was quite noisy at night, but we expected that given that it was specified that our room was in the roadside. All in all, we will stay again in this hotel next time we go to Coron.

Great Location! ”
Balaibinda is right at the center of the town. You can request for their shuttle to fetch you at the airport just make sure you call/text them ahead with your sched. Very friendly staffs and facilities are excellent. Free WiFi in every spot of the lodge which is really a plus. My sister was just too happy to learn that they serve coffee anytime of the day for free :)-another plus for coffee addicts. If you plan to go to some tourist spots by yourself/selves you may ask at the front desk and they will gladly assist you. They helped us get a tricycle on our trip to Mt Tapyas, Cashew store & Maquinit Springs, as well as get a tour for our island-hopping. Satisfied with my stay here in Balaibinda. Truly a value for money. ^_^

Perfect!”
Our flight was cancelled so we booked an extra night in Coron. We were not satisfied with our previous hotel so we searched for a new one. And thank God we found Balaibinda. The rate was much cheaper and the comfort level was much higher. We have to check out very early the next day so the staff suggested that they will just pack our free breakfast. That was so sweet! The food was delicious too. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and we will stay there again next time we visit Coron.

My wife and I celebrated our 14th Anniversary here last March 6, 2013. I found out about Balaibinda Lodge through Agoda.com. Reading through the reviews, the cleanliness and good service, most specially the price, I immediately booked a Roadside Queen, which has decent amenities. But after booking, I messaged the hotel and upgraded to the Penthouse Queen by adding a couple of hundred pesos more, and what a difference that upgrade made during our stay!

Let me start by saying thank God we were upgraded to a room not alongside the road! Balaibinda is RIGHT on a main street so it can be very noisy. If you’re a light sleeper like me, opt for the rooms away from the road. When we arrived at Balaibinda we had already been to 4 different hotels in the Philippines and this was by far the place where I got the best sleep. The air conditioning wasn’t too cold and they actually had a sheet plus a comforter (what’s up with places only having one sheet? I get it’s hot in the Philippines but I love the comfort of a heavier blanket) I wasn’t a fan of having to choose our breakfast/breakfast time the day before but free is free I guess. The food was okay and substantial enough to hold us over until lunch. It was a close walk to many restaurants and activities. We booked 2 island tours with the hotel and had a great time on each of them. The staff was nice and helpful and was quick to help us with anything we asked. I’d give them a solid 8/10 and we’d definitely return.

My husband and I stayed at Balaibinda Lodge for 4 nights in triple room (road side). Although the triple room can be stayed for 3 people, I think the size of the room stay for 2 is better. There was much noise from the motorcycle, but it was acceptable for us.

Clean, comfortable hotel in a great location”
After reading some online reviews, I was a little nervous to stay here, but ultimately, I was pleasantly surprised and had a great stay! The rooms are a good size and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is also great - you are in the heart of Coron town and very close to the port, where all of the tours depart. You are also close to the market where you can buy fresh fish and other food and beverages. The two downsides is that there is no separate stall for the shower, but you can ask for more towels, and this is a cheap hotel option, and that breakfast can be slow/late in the morning. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel especially with the great price!

Roadside Queen Room - #209 - Very Small Room - Good TV”
This is a good place to stay. I think #209 is the smallest room @ Balaibinda, but only one of 2 rooms (both roadside) made available on Agoda. There are many interior rooms (maybe available on other web sites ?). The breakfast is superb, with many choices. However, you must order the day before and specify both the meal you want and the time you will eat. We always chose 9am. I tried quite a variety and personally I think the Spanish Omelette was the best. The coffee also was delicious (masarap !!). I always woke up early (4-5am bcoz of the jet lag) to enjoy a cup of Kopiko and a good cigar on the room's outside seating area as I watched the sunrise. (Bring your own 220v electric kettle.) The city garbage truck came every day (even on Easter Sunday) about 5:30am and plays a catchy tune from a loudspeaker mounted on the cab roof. You can hear it coming 2 blocks away. Part of Coron's local ambiance you will always remember. The temp adjustable A/C worked fine and the wifi was good. The dining area is open all day with a wifi router located on one of the pillars, so you can easily sit in a chair at a table with your laptop. The open 3rd floor roof deck provides beautiful views. No mini-frige in this room. We stayed here 8 days. Definitely a place to stay again, even if the room was small.

Value! Location! Comfort!”
The hotel was nice! Check is a jiffy! Room was elegant and clean! Breakfast was just fine and you get the chance to eat with the other guest! The staff was courteous and friendly! My room is situated on the second floor so therefore I see the garden and all other rooms around it! It was quite althroughout my stay. I will definitely come back if its Balaibinda! Special mention the ladies in reception! They are super nice!

Lovely boutique hotel”
Our family of 6 (with 4 adult children) enjoyed our stay at Balaibinda Lodge. We enjoyed best the homey atmosphere of the receiving room, the dining/breakfast room and even the roofdeck with all the Christmas lights and decorations. The free wifi is much appreciated by our kids. The front desk staff were very helpful, too. Thanks esp to Mitch who helped contact the tour operators for us. We will recommend your lodge.
