The River House is the perfect setting if you want to stay somewhere close to the historical part of the city but far enough from all the noise. The loft we stayed in at The River House was clean, comfortable, and spacious. It takes a few minutes for the a/c to get the room cold due to its size, but when it eventually does, it stays cold. Their staff is very accommodating and are gracious hosts. The food at Govantes Cafe, their in-house restaurant, serves good food at reasonable prices. Great ambiance and outdoor dining is available even by the riverside. There is even a small island with a table under a tree -- a novel way for a group to eat at. We will definitely be back, bringing along our family and friends. - Family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids)

The place is very convenient, just a few minutes away from Vigan Plaza. It's cozy. The restaurant offers wide variety of menu for a very reasonable price. The staff are all very accommodating and kind. We enjoyed our stay and definitely, we will come back. Just a comment on the cleanliness of the loft, the CR was quite unclean with hair strands on the floor, the lavatory was leaking, the pull out bed and the floor seem to be quite dusty hence we borrowed a broom during our stay there. But overall, it's a nice place to stay.

Location is a bit far but nice and quiet. But if you have a private car it is ok. It is kust a few minute drive. Room is spacious and can accomate upto 7 adults. Good interior but not that clean. The glass doors has a lot of dust and fingerprints. Friendly staff. Overall it is still a nice stay.

Fully-booked!”
We got to The River House last June 4, 2022 and were surprised that it was fully-booked and we were not listed. The staff attending to us were the same staff of the café and cannot answer right away what happened to our booking -- I made the reservation and made full payment two weeks in advanced. I wonder if the owner had overlooked the bookings or was it Agoda who made an error. Anyway, they transfer us to another hotel, Casa Marita, which was better and near the city proper. It's the first time it happened in my Agoda bookings. I hope this will never happened again.

Avoid at all cost”
Owner was extremely rude. Threatened us to evict him out of his place in the middle of the night because he says we are demanding. Toilet was clogged. Room smelled of paint. TV was not working. Did not feel welcome at all.

Quick Stop over”
The place is clean and staff are great and friendly. Not sure in the other room but our room need some fix in other area like door divider in the CR. But I highly recommend the place. You can order right outside your unit ( in their restaurant ), charge it to your room and pay it upon check out which is very convenient. Right beside the river where you can relax.

The loft unit is located one tricycle away from the main road where the bus passes by & other tourist places in Vigan, like Calle Crisologo, which is very convenient for us. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The area also has a restaurant where you can dine beside the river. Inside the unit, the place was spacious and it fits perfectly for groups because the second floor is covered with mattresses! Overall, it was a great place to stay near the tourist spots in Vigan if you want a quiet place to stay!

Cozy rooms by the clean river”
We arrived late due to the 8-9 travel time from Las Pinas to Vigan. We were greeted with smiles and soft beds to drop like logs and slept dreamily. We setup a iterinary on were to go and what to do. Busy as a bee. We enjoyed our three day-two night stay, and recommend this place to anyone who wants easy access to Vigan's famous streets.
