I cannot recommend this place enough. I stayed here alone and couldn’t have been made feel more at home. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcome. Anything I asked for they went above and beyond to help me with. They couldn’t help me enough. Every member of staff here made sure I was 100% happy at all times. The location is brilliant and close to pubs and restaurants. My room was spotless. I’m more than happy to recommend this as a place to stay especially for solo travelers. I will definitely be coming back. 5 ⭐️ From me!! ❤️

Exceptional”
We had a good stay at Balenta Bungalow. Traveling around the island is easy with a bike and we were in a good location to go south to the party and close to the cut through to the other side of the island. The staff were friendly and helpful: they sewed a ripped shoulder bag for me and the laundry they did for me was the cleanest, nicest smelling, and best folded laundry I have had in a long time. Breakfast was good as was their beachfront lounging area. The shower had hot water. The only thing we didn't like was the horrible music played mid-day by their neighbor but this usually subsided in the evening. You can still hear the call to prayer but it is far away.

No water or fridge tho, so you have to buy your own water everytime. I wish they could just furnish the place with water instead of offering free breakfast.

Good value beachfront bungalow”
It was my first time visiting Gili Trawangan. Knowing the bungalow is not equipped with TV and swimming pool, i thought it would be a problem. But soon i arrived at the bungalow i realized i didn't need those things. The beach is just right in front of the bungalow, you can simply go to the clean blue water beach to swim. And you will see lots of interesting things in Gili by cycling so you wouldn't need a TV. The room is very nice with a Lumbung style. Also they have a large bathroom, and most impotantly it's clean! I suggest you take an air conditioned room as most friends tell me the temperature is so hot and lots of mozzies. Well it's an island tho. :) Also the staffs are very friendly, they served us with smile and had been always very helpful. If you're looking for a quiet location, this bungalow is just great. Not far from the harbour and nighlife crowd but you will nearly not hear any noises of the crowds. The only por thing is just their bicycles to rent are old. Overall, it's great! I would return to Balenta someday.

Great location and great guys ”
Excellent friendly accommodation situated in a decent location, far enough north to be away from the noise at night but still close enough to get involved if you fancy it. The first bungalow we had the air conditioning was playing up but the owner swapped our room without a problem. Ended up above in a room which in our opinion was the better option after all. The guys here are all friendly and helpful. The owner was kind enough to let me use his phone to call my bank as my card got blocked! Very appreciative of that! Breakfast was plenty good enough, eggs, rice, fruit and pancakes, was nice to eat on the beach front every morning. Also used the laundry service which was also very handy being backpackers! All in all a very pleasant stay! Booked 2 nights and stayed for 4! Great price! Highly recommended, would definitely stay again!

Very cosy room, good location”
Nice room in a nice bungalow place. We didn't stay in a bungalow but in a room upstairs the store. Very cosy room, good facilities, clean. Located on the beach, without too many boats "parked" on the sand which was perfect. There is some sea grass in front the hotel so turtles can be spot.

Everything was nice except for the air conditioning, didn't quite work for the daylight. But it might not so matter because you'll be out for that time, chillin' at the beach, dining somewhere, or biking around the island. Such a pity if you just spend your daytime laying in your bed while you're in Gili. Beach is only one step after your door, and cafes are all around. And also, the temperature will come down as the sun going down, so it's okay then. Staffs, internet, breakfast, hot water, cleanliness, money value, location, all great!

Great deal for well kept bungalows ”
We stayed here two nights and after talking with a few other travelers it sounded like we got a very good value for the price. The staff is great, breakfast was simple but very tasty, the location is actually prime for snorkeling as well as dive trips and the bungalows are clean and comfortable. There is no pool but if you buy a drink or food at any of the other resorts that have you can use them which is kind of fun. There is no TV which makes enjoy the island more. Yadie is the manager and is always there to help with a big smile. Great people!

Not worth your money!!”
I stayed here for one night in August could not find my agoda reservation and payment. Once this was solved I was showed my bungalow. The bungalow looks cute from the front but inside it is old and very simple. The sheets on the bed have many stains and so has the mosquito net above the bed. The towel was dirty too. The toilet did not have toilet paper. After all this I was surprised the shower was hot but while in this shower the power turned off. The bathroom was very dirty and I even spotted a cockroach. The door to the bungalow has a lousy lock that only works sometimes. The bungelow had a little cabinet that could be locked but the key did not match the lock. So once should bring its own big padlock. The aircon was ok. The wifi did not work throughout the whole Balenta area including the rooms. The only positive thing of this place is its location, on the Main Street on the beach. I would not recommend this place to anyone. For this amount of money one would expect simplicity but this was just not clean and primitive. And not worth 2 stars!!! Too bad because staff is friendly.

nice room in front of the beach”
I choose a standard room with fan, nice room but there's no television. Quite hot a nite so i have to open the window, but you don't have to worry about mosquito because the beds are equipped with mosquito nets. Nice staff and for the visitor we can rent a bicycle and snorkeling equipment with a price below the normal price.

although it would take 15 minutes walk to the centre, this bungalow is ideally located at a quiet surrounding. Perfect for sunbathing lovers. The white sandy beach across is very peaceful and relaxing

Booked a fan room! But was extremely hot as above a shop. Asked to move rooms and got charged 200,000 a night for AC. The beach bar was lovely and food was great!!

Location and room where very good value with bereakfast included. We only stayed one night but were able to check in at 9.30. Would have been happy to stay longer if our timeline allowed.

Great location on the island”
The best part i loved staying at this place was the location. Its situated just few steps away from a beautiful beach and in between the happening part of island and the quiet and peaceful part. Bars and restaurants are in walking distance.
