Beautiful hotel, expensive restaurant, room smalle”
The hotel is beautifully decorated with Bali resort style. Bathroom is spacious and beautiful for the SPA experience, although we seemed to have drainage problem so the floor is always flooded after showering. The family room, however, is way smaller than what it looks like on the picture. The breakfast is decent. We went to 1st restaurant for dinner paid by ourselves, and although food was tasty, it was extremely expensive and small servings...($280/$380 for a palm size dish)... So walking across the bridge to the street to find some other restaurants would be a better option. Overall we had a good stay!

Great Big Stone Hot Spring Bath in Room”
The hotel has a Balinese motif that is nicely executed if not 100% Bali. Our room had a really spacious bath, twice as large as the bedroom with two tubs, one hot and one cold. The hot tub is about 4 sq.m.--wonderful for stretching and relaxing. The sleeping area is clean and spacious enough. We had to ask for bathrobes but got them promptly. The included breakfast was good with a variety of eastern and western dishes. Location of the hotel is across the river from the bus stop (two-hour ride from Taichung HSR station) about a 10 or 15-minute walk across the suspension foot bridge--require climbing steps. Not much English is spoken and the dinner menu is a set written only in Chinese for 600NT$ per person--a bit pricey for a not very tasty meal. We went to a mom and pop noodle shop in town the second night--total of 180NT$ for two and delicious as well. The hotel has a shuttle and drove us to the bus stop at check out. Takeaway is stay but don't eat dinner there.

Far Discreet but great hotspring water ”
1st time there and the pace is super big with an inbuilt hot spring water tub. the tub washing area is almost as big as the room size. food there is nice the only complaint is the mosquitoes. it caught u offguard

Nice spot for people living with ease”
Nice spot which good spring facilities, staffs are very welcoming. The location is rather remote and the route to get there is very winding. The price is a bit high, but it’s worthy!

Nice hot spring”
we stayed for 2 nites, with very nice environment, friendly staffs. the room is spacious, the hot spring is real hot spring water. Size of bath tub is good to accomodate my family and kids too. We enjoyed watching TV in the bath tub. it was a nice staying experience.

Not as good as we thought. Tea bags are not free on the 2nd and 3rd day of our stay. Food quality is far below our expectations. More importantly, the hot spring water is not hot enough!

Nice environment, friendly staff!!!”
We had been spend sometime in Taichung before we heading towards the spa, and we arrived just after midnight, and the staff were well prepared for our arrival and providing the very useful information. The downside is too far to drive from town, taxi strongly recommended, as taxi is cheap in Taiwan as general!! Strongly recommend, will visit again

The hotel isn't as described on the website. There is no access to the SPA! and they don't mention it on the website. Fortunately the rooms are very nice and the staff too. A part from that, the breakfast is really not a 5 star hotel breakfast and the rest either. Every one is doing his best but it is definitely not a 5 stars. We had to ask for compensation. The didn't propose anything spontaneously and didn't even tell us the SPA wasn't accessible until we asked were it was...After that we asked for compensation and they offered that we go in the SPA of an other hotel. We also negotiated a free diner, which was very good, much better than their breakfast and we also got them to drive us to our next destination. There is also a wrong information concerning the distance to the airport. It it at 1h/130 drive from the airport and absolutely far away from the center of Taichung. The little town in which you find the hotel is definitely not a place you want to go to for more than 2 nights max. And the hotel i wouldn't recommend because it ain't cheap!If it was half the price i would say it's okay.

nice room with inbuilt spa. 2 poold, but only have hot water for bigger pool, making the smaller pool useless nice and peaceful surroundings. easy to find with GPS but drive up takes patience as road is slightly narrower right beside amenities and convenient. even managed to meet some stars like richie ren!

Balinese set-up hotel”
Believe it's one of the nicer hotel in Gu Guan and more pricey compared to the rest of the hotel in the area. Stayed in princess room. Very spacious with a huge bed that can easily accommodate 4 adults. Comes with a big hot spring water tub and a smaller cold tub separated by a sliding door to the room. Weird for hotel to make guests request for bathrobe from reception if required. Why can't they just provide in the room by default? Set breakfast served in their restaurant. Taste average and no coffee available.

The room is in good design and the bath tub is very big for doing spa. But this hotel is very far away from TaiChung city centre. The outside spa area is closed due to maintenance.
