Quite dirty and rundown”
The Location is good for Shopping, there was a mini fridge
I hardly know where to begin. The room was so dirty and rundown, I didn't want to touch anything. The garden might have been nice a few years ago, but it was not maintained and was so dreary... how someone can make a Balinese garden look bad, I'll never know. But the brick path was slippery with slime all the way to the front desk and the plants which were still living looked ashamed to be there. Pool closed for cleaning, which I'm not sure is a good sign or what. The bathroom had a broken window, so mosquitoes could get in, and there wasn't even a mosquito net on the bed. Whole place was creepy. They keep a few big barking dogs in a room near front desk. I think they are not kept well; you can smell their filth just walking by! We cut our losses and left to go to another budget hotel that was nicely maintained, just a few steps away. A world of difference.

For the price”
Price, Location & Price
Our stay was what we had hoped for; low cost and easy. We checked in around 1230 without any problems and were shown straight to our room. It was a Standard ground floor room at the far back (about 100 meters from Office) of the property. There is good parking for scooters, but limited space for autos. The grounds are very green and sprawling, with large trees around, but could use a bit more maintenance, as the grass in front of our room building almost 8" high and had a lots of faxed in; quite UN-Balinese looking. The room was fair size and fairly clean. The TV had only 'local' Bahasa Indonesian channels and the aircon worked very well. Our biggest compliant was that when we asked for free breakfast the next morning the man from the restaurant told us that it was not free. There are several good restaurants in the vicinity, we had Fish & Chips lunch at the Monsoon restaurant (75 meters right), Local dinner about 75 meters to the left and full buffet breakfast across the street in the Baleka Gula-Gula restaurant for $6.00. Best access to the beach (15 minutes)is through the Jayakarta Hotel, but they are not too happy with that. Tell them you are going to eat breakfast or lunch their. Their food IS very good, but a bit pricy...

A quiet hotel”
Location
A small hotel in a quiet area. The room is fairly large but it is needing some repair work. The water flow in the toilet is not very good.It had hot water this stay. The pool,s is a good area to relax around as it located at the back so you don,t get all the traffic noise from outside. A short 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach

Badly in need of maitenance”
location
I needed two weeks in Bali to write and searched for budget accomodation. I've stayed in Bali several times so familiar with the location. I like Legian as it is out of the Kuta area but if I want to shop its only a walk or cab ride and there are plenty of restaurant options along the waterfront and bars to sit down on the beach for a cocktail and watch the sunset. I hired a bungalow at Bali Village Bagak for two weeks as i looked like the accomodation that met my budget. I believe now that I could have got the bungalow for less per night. I'd planned on coming a day early. the agoda system didn't seem to allow me to book the extra night online so I rang the hotel. The girl who answered had little english so after several attempts I was able to get an email address thinking that written english would be understood. I sent the email but never heard anything back. I booked another hotel for one night as I didn't want to take the risk of the hotel not having a room. The first room I was given, the toilet leaked. To the hotels credit they immediately moved me to another bungalow. thanks. The bedroom was neat. The bathroom had been cleaned but in need of a good scrub. The door on the cupboard fell off when I opened it to put my clothes in. Looks like it had been this way for ages. Other minor things needed attention. The stains in the roof indicated that there had been leaks before. When it rained water dripped through the bathroom ceiling for a couple of days. Every tiime I made a request at the front desk they didn't really understand and took several attempts to make sure they got it. I told the man at the front desk I wanted to stay an extra night.Once again for some reason it was not recorded so they asked me when i was checking out on the day originally booked and I had to go through the process again. my advice. the hotel badly needs maitenance, possibly pulled down. You get what you pay for. I think I could have done better.

good location”
close to the beach
Hotel is in a good loocation. Very quiet at night. Plumbing was a big issue as the toilet would not flush and then I lost hot water. Not that I really needed hot water but just enough to take the chill out of the water as it is now the rainy season. Some lovely restaurants within close proximity

good location”
location
A small style resort. My room this time had a lot of problems with the water. Lost all hot water and the toilets would not flush. It is a good location with only a short walk to the beach. Some nice little restaurants and bars close by. The pool is small but it is in a quiet spot

old style resort”
closeness to the beach and restaurants
It is quiet resort and it wasn,t full so it was good to stay somewhere quiet and not have all the party goers coming in at all hours of the night. It was relaxing lying around the pool. Somethings could do with a bit of a touch up like the bathrooms. Overall fairly satisfied with my stay for the price

so-so hotel but nice setting”
green garden
The hotel I didn't like very much. I felt it was very overpriced for what you got. Bathroom was dirty concrete, room was very small and right next to the bed, a window the size of the WHOLE WALL. Seriously, who makes a design like that... The pool smelt funny (way too much chemicals) and I didn't even approach it but I saw several other people use it though. Breakfast was fine (standard eggs), but the staff was really really friendly. They helped me out, they were smiling, really friendly.
