Very good
Its a good place to be alone -- its very sirene, and solemn.

My paradise~!
I had visited twice at the Balicasag island dive resort. It's still wonderful diving and snorkling spot. The squid fishing was nice at night. The electricity was not disconnected and water also good condition. I'd like to visit again there.

Be self contained. Bring food, snacks and everything its an island so dont expect to much
Best place to go for scuba diving in Tagbilaran Bohol area. Its would be best if you bring your own gear and be selfcontained in everything. Food, snacks, medicine Etc. Best and Excellent dive instructor and dive masters in Bohol is in this island.

We requested transport both van from accommodation and boat for crossing - all went to plan and found that we had paid less than other guests that had come across independently of this service offered by the resort. We are retired so scuba diving is much too energetic for us - but love to snorkel. The turtles were a bit disappointing but did catch a glimpse of a couple of them at a distance - the marine sanctuary was were all the beautiful fish are and just loved our time there especially viewing the drop off where there is a sudden drop in the ocean that looks like a cliff in the ocean with the most beautiful coral and colourful fish. Don't miss that - it is quite dramatic. There is a nice pool and pleasant surroundings. We enjoyed wandering through the village and meeting the children and there carers behind the resort. We saw interesting nippa type huts and cockerels with their feet tethered to ropes - cock fighting seems popular in the Philippines. Loved our stay here.

Remote Resort in incredible location
The resort is located on a tiny island south Panglao. Accessing here require 45mn to 1h banka ride from Panglao. The pristine sea and very nice snorkeling were great although we got unfortunately caught into low pressure area and under the rain. You can walk around the island in about 25 minutes on the beach. The resort itself is simple. The swimming pool was not maintained when we were there. The bungalows are OK as well, although only serviced the 3rd day out of 4 nights... Food is correct as well, but nothing special. Unfortunately no fresh fish... strange on a fisherman's ilsland. Due to the weather, we did not experience every day the dozens of tourists coming here for the day with their life jacket, but the island is large enough not to be bothered in any case. As everywhere, I regret the fact they give soap and shampoo in unidoses that then ends up in the sea. Idem for the water where they can't refill your bottles (even if we proposed to pay the same amont than a bottle) and only sell small plastic bottles... poor planet. Staff is really nice. It's not a 5* service - which I'm not looking for at all!! -, but they are present, always smiling and ready to try to make you happy ! Sounds not so great ? It's just an honest feedback but the Island worth it, inhabitants and inner village beautiful, snorkeling high level and the commodities really acceptable to enjoy all that ! And you can checkout with Credit Card ! Go and Enjoy !... and take back ALL your garbage with you back to you home bin (empty lotion tubes, plastic bags, bottle of water... etc) or at least to a major city with garbage valorisation. Thanks for the next ones :)

Beautiful location
We spent four nights with the family on Balicasag. It was absolutely fantastic. The place is beautiful and the accomodation was quite adequate. With a little bit of effort from the staff, the place would be absolutely perfect. Diving staff was friendly and they knew the dive sites. They were very helpful and we were very comfortable diving with them. I can recommend for easy, relaxing dives with fabulous corals and plenty of small fish and turtles.

4.5 to the Balicasag view, it matches what we expected. 4 to the service of the resort. I like the beautiful smile of the waitress in restaurant (who is pregnant?) and the lady in receiption she was helpful giving me advice, and most of the staffs except one man in restaurant in blue shirt. he was rude asking us finding some other desks when we sat on a reserved table - he could be polite but he didn't. 3 to the resort itself especially to the room. it is not clean at all. the ground is dirty and the bathroom seems not cleaned. the smell in room is not good. Pool was under repair when we arrive, later we can use it but the water seems dirty...wifi is extra paid...I was glad that I only need to stay in this room for one night even though I reserved 2 nights. 4 to the food. regular menu. but I like the fresh fruits for the breakfast, I enjoyed it a lot. also, 5 stars to the juice. 3 to the diving center. I did not try their service but when I check the price, different person give me different rate. the 2nd one kept raising the rate, especially when he knows that I have a child. I don't think I can trust him so I go for a local people and I got a guide with a reasonable price. There are groups visiting this resort. we met 2 groups, the first one is Chinese group, and the 2nd was Korean. both of them are very noisy. in one word, the view is nice and the garden is ok. but room is bad. and the island is no more suit to people who wants to enjoy some quiet and private time. I may come to balicasag island again but not stay here any more.
