I guess it’s alright and decent for the amount I paid for. 50/50 like for location convenient, 50 dislike of experience. First time going to Las Vegas and booking through Agoda for it. Upon arrival the check-in line with a receptionist was long so decide to go to self kiosk machine. There’s an extra charge of 45$ for early check in since check-in starts at 4pm, we arrived at noon. There was a resort fee of 56$ a day that covers the pool and gym usage. Was a bit confused at first bc thought I’m getting double charge for fees. Agoda did put in small font about resort fee of $113 in the trip receipt. But when i finalized and paid it on the machine it was 200$ something. Cancel it and went to the reception to check in and they explain there was a $100 deposit+$45early check-in+ 113$ resort fee i had left to pay. The next day of stay i get charged 52$ on my credit card. Text hotel whats it for, they said for the early check in fee. Confused bc it supposed to be all include in that 200$ transaction already. It stayed pending until our trip was over and did disappear from my credit card. But weird it charged again on my card. The hotel have a luggage storage right outside their hotel for those who comes in earlier than check-in time. Free, You just tip those guys watching it. The elevator we took our room was buggy and malfunction. People floor were selected, after going up to a few floor, the selected floor lights erased. We rode up and down to the lobby floor 3 times before finally landing on our floor. 2nd day the elevator was okay. Those elevator door close fast though, so you have to keep an eye out which elevator open to quickly go on it. From check-in desk to the elevator, we had to walk a bit and through the casino slot machine area, therefore had to smell cigarettes smoke, which for me I cannot stand that smell. The hotel room was alright. No toothbrush or slippers were given. A good amount of towels were in the room so didn't need room service next night when we stayed. Could not access the balcony, the latch was broken prior and the hotel did not fix it. Agoda listed the room as city view, did not see city view. Only saw another hotel out the window and the other side wing of the horseshoe hotel. You can upgrade $ to be on the fountain bellagio side or high roller wheel side. Horseshoe hotel is connected to Paris hotel, so it was good to walk inside when outside temp heat is over 100 during our trip. There were restaurants inside the connecting passageway. Based on location, it was convenient to travel to places. There was a monorail close by, haven't figure how to use that yet.
I was confused by the contactless check in. I had thought my booking company had paid the deposit. I was hesitant to put my card in their kiosk. A very nice woman came over seeing our discomfort. She pushed some buttons and did her magic. We were upgraded to a room with a Sphere view and some coupons. Beautiful room. Nice staff. Highly recommend
Great location, right in the middle of all the action of Las Vegas. The rooms are large and comfortable. All the usual amenities. As an overseas traveller we do miss a kettle and tea. Pillows are usual US style and way too thick. If you are road tripping, do yourself a favour and buy a pillow just right for you and bring it along to all the hotels you stay in. The hotel itself has no theming, but it doesn't matter, just visit the themed hotels only a few metres away. Not a great deal of check-in staff for over two thousand rooms, so expect to queue a while. The self check-in option is a good, but it didn't read Australian passports. Old Style windows let a lot of noise in, but the noise is so constant in Las Vegas that it didn't bother us much.
Garage entrance for Self Parking is on Las Vegas Blvd tugged between Paris and Horseshoe just before Flamingo RdCheck-in with App posting by garage elevator. Take garage elevator to P1 and just follow the directions on the posted signage to the Registration area and can either choose to wait in line for in-person check-in or use the Kiosk, I used the Kiosk and the process was simple and easy step-by-step of scanning ID or Passport and online selections to use Debit or Credit Card to all fees and charges. Parking is not free so it’s $20 per day per car. You can request to have number of card keys to be printed. A confirmation printout with room number and directions to the room elevators are well described (follow the carpet to the elevators).

Daily housekeeping
“Modern Comfort with a Few Rough Spots”
stayed at Horseshoe Las Vegas for a leisure trip, and overall, it delivered a comfortable, functional experience — not flashy, but solid. Check-In & Check-Out: Let’s start with the pain point: check-in and checkout lines here are brutal. The hotel has kiosks to help speed things up, but the human-staffed lines move painfully slow. They push you to check out through their system in advance to avoid the chaos — and you should. Like other Caesars properties, they’ll charge extra for late checkout after 11 a.m., which feels unnecessarily predatory. I did a late checkout once, and getting my room rekeyed was an ordeal. I ended up having to call security to unlock my room because I didn’t want to stand in the line from hell again. By the time security showed up, a member of housekeeping helped me in — proof the process really needs work. The Room: The room itself was modern, simple, and comfortable — think Midwestern practical, not Vegas glitz. It’s bigger than a room at The Cromwell but smaller than what you’d get at Caesars Palace. The decor isn’t trying to make a statement — it’s neutral, functional, and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the TV was modern, though the on-screen interface looked a bit dated and lacked clear instructions for connecting a computer or streaming. There was a mini-fridge with actual space for your own items (thankfully not just overpriced snacks), but no microwave. The snack bar items in the room were predictably overpriced, so I left those alone. Still, compared to other Caesars properties, it’s nice that Horseshoe gives you at least a little flexibility with the fridge. Dining & Amenities: I grabbed food one morning from their small bar area that serves pastries and light breakfast items like croissants and bagels. The food was fine — but seating was confusing. After I bought my food, I sat near the slot machines by the bar, where there was space to set my drink and eat quietly. The bartender promptly told me I couldn’t eat there and needed to move. It struck me as odd that they’d put machines right next to a food counter and then act surprised that people might sit and eat there. Not exactly the relaxing breakfast I had in mind. I moved to another side area where others were eating without issue, but the whole setup felt awkward and uninviting. The Walk & Layout: The walk from check-in to the rooms isn’t bad at all — much more manageable than at the mega-resorts. Horseshoe’s size works in its favor here; it’s easy to get in and out of your room, and the location puts you right in the action on the Strip. It also has convenient access to nearby shops and connected properties, which adds to its appeal. Overall: Horseshoe Las Vegas is a comfortable, moderately priced hotel in a prime location that focuses more on function than flair. It’s not a “wow” property, but it’s reliable. The rooms are comfortable, the vibe is grounded, and the pricing (relative to the Strip) is fair. Where it falls short is in operations — slow lines, clunky key management, and a few staff process issues that make what should be easy feel unnecessarily complicated. Still, I’d recommend this hotel for travelers who value convenience and comfort over luxury or over-the-top design. And as a Texan, I had to laugh that a place called Horseshoe ended up matching my taste for the practical things done (mostly) right.
