Freinds, If you travelling alone, with partner or Kids, the property is worth staying. The staff at welcome desk was pleasant & addressed ,even at 4am. The property is right on the sea shore (not the beach). You just have to cross the road and a railway line and you find an excellent local food on a private beach (WAADIA). Room is very clean, beds & wash area is well equipped & clean. The staff is very supportive. They made sure that we get our needs whenever we asked for. The breakfast is exceptionally good, The infinity pool area (on the roof top) is breath taking. Better than the picture shown. Dont forget the local bear (Lion) if you drink. 6-7 are happy hours. Small Gym, well equipped. Excellent concierge and travel desk. Driver (Mr Kamal) the best ever we got thru OZO. 5Km from city centre. Auto takes 200 LKR, easily available. Local train is nice experience, next to OZO. 7cents to city centre, one way. safe. Best place if you exploring SL. Money changer is walking distance.

This is a brand NEW hotel. You can feel it when you take a shower: it is very clean and the towels feel like they have never been used before. The beds are really great, super comfortable and everything is just perfect. The staff is so nice, greeted us with a class of fresh juice upon arrival and always smiling and helped us book a taxi to the airport. This is a hotel I would definitely recommend for business our leisure travelers. The only downside I can see is that our room (#303) was located directly beneath the restaurant and we could hear the chairs dragging on the floor in the morning, which woke us up around 8 or 9 AM. Other than that, no issues! Great stay!

The room was very noce and accommodating.For me, the customer service was impeccable. I would specially love to say The waitress ‘Gayani’ was honestly the best waitress and one of the best that i have ever come across, compared to so many other hotels locally and even overseas. She was so friendly, so homely and very efficient. She treated is with care and love and due to her and the amazing food the chefs provided us, we extended our stay by two days! The other waitress i think ‘dulsie’ was her name, was very sweet as the 2 male waiters in the restaurant were very nice too. I loved my stay at the ‘the ocean’ and will recommend it to all my friends as well. I would specially mention gayani’s service as we extended our stay due to her amazing customer skills.

Over all eurolanka is a good hotel to stay for family or personal . The only issue we face is quality of food . Even they have a good decorated restaurent but the menu is not fully up to the mark . Being an indian its difficult to survive . Any way just next to this hotel we have a good indian restaurent named DWARKA . Other wise hotel n staff is very good and help full too.

We stayed for just one night at the end of our travel through Sri Lanka before we flew home, but wish we could have spent more time there. The facility is very new with the charme of a small palace, rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, very comfortable bed and clean bathrooms, TV and netflix are included. We had our best sleep throughout the whole trip. What separates this even more from other places are staff/owners who make everything possible and really care about their customers!

We stayed in the dorm. The staff are always friendly and helpful if you need to know anything. They were so kind and picked us up last minute from colombo fort. Everything was very clean. The air con worked really well. The beds were really comfortable. Each bed has an international (three types of plug in one) plug socket and a lamp. We were given towels and our lockers were right beside our beds. There are two toilets, two showers and two sinks and the bathroom was very clean. The roof terrace was a nice area to chill out and meet other people. There is a kitchen you can cook in if you'd like, free tea. There's a common area downstairs with a TV too. It was a bit far from fort, but was walkable distance from all the shopping places that we wanted to visit. Perfect hidaway with a quiet environment. WiFi connection was very good even in the room. Breakfast was fresh and good, fully worth for $2.50 with unlimited toast etc. Had a great stay and recommend to all type of visitors.

Everything other Boutique Hotels claim to be but can only aspire too. Read other comments regarding the building and rooms which are every inch true. The attention to 'the experience' detail is exceptional, even the bedside drawers have power extension blocks inside for bedside laptop or phone charging etc.... the rooms even have printers!!! One word of caution, this is a hotel built on visions not to an architects corporate specification, expect a few small rough edges to finishings but I stress these in no way divert you from bonding with the concept, in fact in some ways it emphasises the personality of the place and makes it feel more like home! Putting aside the fantastic feel of both the interior and exterior of the building this Hotel would command 5 stars on two other criteria alone... Service & Food. Every one of the team at this hotel just appear sold into the idea of service as a passion rather than a job, don't expect the training room greetings and smiles of the big chains, here you experience what appears to a genuine interest in you and your stay. The food is to die for, the Chef (who gave us a free cookery lesson) used to work in the 7 Star Burj Al Arab iconic hotel in Dubai and that reflects in his food which is excellent. His passion is an eclectic twist where Sri Lankan meets Thai, this is not always reflected in the menu but Casa is such a hotel that you can request any meal to be prepared and if it is possible they will do it. It is an absolute certainty that we will be back, for anyone planning a Colombo stopover I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.

I booked this hotel because of the good reviews and because it is close to the German Embassy. We really found a beautiful house with a nice garden, everything was made of wood and you could see, that it really is in good condition. We did not smell or see mold or anything broken and the whole house is very looked-after and in a beautiful style. Even though the owners were all very kind and friendly, there was one thing: Our room was not cleaned. It was not old or stained, it just wasn't cleaned after the people before us. That can happen, I thought, and told the owner's daughter. BUT NOTHING was done, when we came back. I reported again and again, nothing was done. On the third time, the owner sent an old man to clean, but he only wiped a little on what I showed him. Nothing else. Still, I think, this is the best and nicest hotel in this price categorie, that you can get in Colombo! We travelled with our 2 year old son, that's why we booked the suite. Which is one room on two floors of which one floor is about 1.5m higher than the other and with two double beds. And there is a stair between. If you travel with small kids, just be informed, that the floor of the suite is from beton. That's why our son slept between us, so he won't fall out of the bed at night (and not in the second double bed) and the stairs could become dangerous, if they fall. But our son loved the stairs and the spacious room. The breakfast was very good. They served us omelett. Colombo Center is not even 2 Dollars away. And the drive from the airport to the hotel was only 2500 Rupees (about 20 Dollars). If I had to stay in Colombo again, I would again book this hotel, but I would bring a cloth to clean first.

THE Location: - It was a bit tough finding the place as Tuktuk Drivers are hard to deal with. We had to bargain with the tuktuk driver as it was 2am when we arrived. - Make sure to tell the Tuktuk Driver that it is in LORENZ (not Laurence). It is near the Majestic City Mall (15 mins walk) which i guess is the main point of reference that you can use. - There is another road called Lauries that drivers might bring you at, so just say it's probably the 10th road after that. THE HOTEL - When we arrived at 2am, the staff were all sleeping already, we knocked and they opened the gate and showed us to our room. - The Unit given to us has two rooms, 1 with a queen size bed and one with a two single bed. - The place itself is huge. It is equipped with almost everything that you need from plates, cooking wares to washing. - They don't provide towels and wifi is does not reach the 2nd floor. There's also nothing on the cable TV so the best thing to entertain yourselves when in the room is through your own gadgets Conclusion: The apartment itself is near some places but there is really nothing much to do around the area. Be careful with Tuktuk Drivers. They will try to cheat you as much as possible. Even the prices of the items we bought on some local markets we went to changes depending on whose selling. The staff of the Apartment were all nice so all in all, it was a good stay.

The Moss BnB is tucked in off a main street. It is near The Laundromat where you can get express laundry service. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Very nice staff. The map they give you is most valuable in navigating to close restaurant and stores. The area is much nicer than that around the Fort and less congested (though that is relative). Check out all the small poems and haiku taped on various places around the lobby and lounge area.

Room was very nicely furnished, very clean with comfy bed, AC, excellent bathroom and some very nice touches (soft furnishings etc. ). The place is run by a very nice Italian/French family and they are very friendly and helpful. The location is a little away from the centre of Colombo, but on reflection it is perfect, nestled in the nice leafy part of town and close to the sea. It’s much nicer than the Fort area. We liked it so much we booked for our return leg to Colombo.
