Bamboo-Hill Sasaokaso offers spacious Japanese-style guestrooms and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. From the hotel it's just a 5-minute walk to Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, and a 15-minute drive to JR Togari Nozawa Onsen Station. Rooms are fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. They come with a TV and a leg-warming heated table. Bathroom and toilet are shared. Sasaokaso Bamboo-Hill offers ski equipment rentals and free luggage/ski equipment storage services. Dry rooms and drinks vending machines are on site. There are many communal hot spring baths around the property like Matsuba no Yu, a 2-minute walk away. Carefully prepared Japanese meals using home-grown rice and vegetables are offered at the dining room. Hearty Japanese breakfast is served there, as well.

Gem in a beautiful town”

Stayed in Bamboo-Hill for four nights with three children in their big family room. Location is fantastic, only few minute walk to the ski resort and just up the hill from the main drag. Staff was phenomenal. They helped us make reservations to a restaurant when our planned reservation fell through and transportation to snow monkey park. Breakfast was delicious as well each morning. Would highly recommend this hotel.

not a huge fan of traditional japanese breakfast. but there's not much else to eat around and you want to get out early so just eat it and enjoy the snow.
