The staff were very friendly and helpful. We have been to Lakes Entrance before many times but the location of this motel meant we didn't need the car to get around. Everything was in walking distance. Will use this motel again.

Great value stopover in good location”

Have stayed here before but if anything the bamboo has got better. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and the shower controllable. The proprietor is always available should you need anything and the location right opposite the inlet means that a walk to anywhere is possible. The room was slightly small, but not annoyingly so. Could have done with two more tea bags and a couple of biscuits for supper, but whilst the Bamboo is run by this operator, it will always be good value for money ( he also makes a great coffee for $3.50)

Good experience with low budget”

Owner John is very friendly and helpful, the room is not very big but it's clean and comfy and has everything needed, the motel is close to everything, all restaurants, beaches, lakes, shoppings are just wihtin walking distance. With such a low budget I can't find anything better than this. Highly recommend!

Peaceful budget Stay”

Simply beautiful. Awesome views and weather. Great stay by the Lake with lots of eateries nearby. Very nice customer service. The people there are very nice. Rooms are perfect for up to 4 ppl. A value for $$$...

We booked late on a major long weekend. We were extremely happy to find an affordable option at the Bamboo Motel. Well recommended and definitely looking forward to seeing the Motel again. It's a long trot our final destination and the Motel was just what we were looking for.

location location”

It was smaller than expected. There was no microwave to warm up the food. We were kinda expecting one cause the staff told us he gave us an upgrade. Room was right at the end in front of the carpark which made bringing in the luggage a breeze. There were no views and we were at Lakes Entrances, where views matter 😁

I would never stay here again”

Stayed here 1 night on the way back from a recent trip to Batemans Bay, as we were travelling with newborn twins it was just a overnight stay to breakup the trip and make it a little easier to feed etc. Place was exactly what you would expect and didn't expect any more, place was clean and tidy, unfortunately that's where the positives end. When we checked into the motel I told the owner I was travelling with twins, he wasn't impressed as I hadn't mentioned this on the notes of the online booking, he let it go and said just make sure the extra beds in the room aren't used or there is an extra charge. Went to check out the next day and was told we had an extra charge of $16 for the twins that weren't disclosed as he had checked with the online booking provider and no notes were made apparently. I accepted and moved on as I had bigger concerns to worry about with twins waiting in the car with my wife. Once we got home I checked the booking conditions and it stated under 1yr children are free, exactly why I thought it wouldn't be a problem with the room we booked. I then made contact with the owner to raise my concerns, not to get my money back as the biggest priority but more so the misleading information on the website etc. I also mentioned I wanted to give him the chance to explain what happened before I wrote a review, but all I got was attitude from the owner, and that is why I feel compelled to write this review anyway. We've stayed in many hotels in the world from the cheapest to very expensive and have never come across so many conditions written on a wall of a motel room, I would be very careful staying here because if you put a foot wrong you will be charged extra, we didn't use any of the other beds in the room and I've never ever come across an extra charge to use beds that are already in a room, cheap hotel or not. So inclusion, I would look elsewhere and even pay extra for an overnight stay in Lakes Entrance.

Extra value”

It was a great stay all around. The owner/person at the desk was very helpful since the beginning. He answered all our questions and showed us all the good places on the map. We also accidentally left the key inside the room and he kindly gave us another one. The place is at walking distance from most eatery places and attractions in town, e.g. the boat rentals are just a block away. Prices are also very good. The experience is far from luxurious but you get a decent room with decent space, clean facilities, and extra money in your pocket to use on your stay. Definitely recommend it!

Being on my own, this motel was ideal for me and although they did not cater for dinner this was no problem as I enjoyed trying various rest's in Lakes.

Very nice. We were just staying for a night on our way through to Sydney, but have stayed in LE before which is a lovely place. The hotel was excellent for our purposes, friendly helpful staff, good clean room, and the new coffee slot machine was a real bonus in the morning, very handy and good coffee.

Good option at a budget”

The room was dated but very clean and comfortable. The ensuite is tiny weeny but adequate, whilst the bed was firm and comfortable. The one thing I didn't like was the vertical blinds on the window - for privacy during the day they need to be fully closed leading to a dark room. I would like to see a curtain for better privacy. The rooms at the rear of the motel would be quieter, due to the busy road. All in all, a good stay for a great price.

Walk and buy seafood from trawlers”

Good value but can be noisey in the morning because the motel is near to Prince hey. EnjoyedLake Entrance where you can buy fresh seafood from the trawler. I would stay at a self contained cabin so I could cook my seafood eg crabsprawns and freshly caught fishes.

Modernised budget motel with on the ball owner/manager”

Check in was effortless with the owner offering us fresh milk for tea and coffee, which over the next four days, was replenished with a smile. The room was compact. It had been refitted with quality modern fittings. Toilet / shower space a little cramped, but shower itself was a good size and water flow glorious, and constant. Could hear some street noise at night until about 10pm, but we were on main strip. Great location to walk safely to good dining/ clubs etc. I prefere a slightly firmer mattress but slept well each night. Quality linen and towels. Would stay again. It was great value for money

V & B from Sydney”

Clean & comfortable. Across the road from the water, great position. Close to the RSL (book if wanting to eat there) and other food outlets. Great price.

Great place to relax in a lovely location”

This is a great motel with everything that you could need for a relaxing stay in a wonderful part of the country. The owner was extremely friendly and gave us lots of tips as to where to eat/what to say. He also provided a good history of the surrounding area. Clean, spacious rooms are exactly what was needed for a relax!

Highly recommend ”

This place is in a great location, especially if you like night photography and want to walk along the jetty for some action of the trawlers leaving. It's close to the RSL which is always s great feed and easy access to the Main Street and the put puts on the back road. Love it. Maybe just a little spoiled at home with an expensive mattress and did miss it.

Value for money”

The size of the room was decent and the bed was comfortable. For an overnight stopover, this place is value for money. The reception was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Two Night Stay”

The room I had is that of a very basic motel. It had all the requirements I.E. fridge, table, one chair, double bed which was comfortable, however, the en-suite is at best very tiny and certainly could not cope with more than one person at a time. Instructions on how to operate air conditioner & T.V. may be helpful as I could not get air conditioner to work. Other than that as I said a very basic motel and priced accordingly. You may need to have a not applicable icon in your response request for dining as some people may not use these facilities
