“Waking up in paradise...”
This place was the absolute highlight of our whole holiday in Bali, if you love nature, tranquillity and relaxation, then this is it! I booked one night and stayed in the cheapest accommodation which was 1 of the 2 tents, high up in the trees above the river, there is a bit of a hike up to the top, 2 spiral staircases and more steps, so it pays to be reasonably fit and able, our tent was a round bamboo hut with a canopy inside covering the bed, a very comfy mattress and the quality white linen was spotlessly clean, pillows were soft and fluffy, there is complimentary drinks in a little bar fridge, teas and coffee pod machine and 2 home-made fruit nut bars. The bathroom was a lovely rustic bamboo hut next to our tent, very good hot water & pressure, with fresh water supplied, the tap water is also drinkable, as l was told by our host that it is from the natural springs and also filtered. After 5pm the day visitors leave, and guest can swim in the spring pools till 6pm, which makes it more accessible and private, at night it looks so magical, all lit up and fires in pits are lit for dinner, the amazing restaurant has a good variety of meals, my favourite was breakfast, as we had it in the big bamboo pod with the glass bottom, suspended over the middle of the river. Waking up to the sound of the river was so beautiful, we then spent the rest of the day over the other side of the river, which you access by crossing a big bamboo bridge, the spring fed pools, there is a sauna and a copper hot tub, you can then dunk yourself in an icy plunge pod, so invigorating! So many places to see and things to do and explore, l highly recommend Bambu Indah when next visiting Ubud.
