Amazing friendly service at Ban Sabaidee”
I spent three nights at Ban Sabaidee Hotel in Ayutthaya and wish I had stayed longer. The welcome I received from the wonderful hosts, especially Yui, was amazing. I have not met many people who are so friendly, helpful and happy to talk as Yui. Granted, I was her only guest, but I would imagine she is like this when busy too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk ride from the centre of the city and a bit tricky for the drivers to find. I wanted to spend a couple of days looking around the temples and ruins and Yui drove me around both days. Yui took me around the city both days to visit the temples, a museum, the floating market and also took me out again to visit the night market and to look at the temples at night. She welcomed me into her home when the family were celebrating her sister's birthday and I spent a couple of happy hours chatting to her family. This is a hotel with a difference. I was welcomed and treated like a friend. Thank you so much everyone at Ban Sabaidee!
Hospitality with a capital "H"!!”
Our stay at Ban Sabaidee was absolutely fantastic! Upon arrival at the trainstation we called the hotel and they instantly arranged transport to pick us up (as the hotel is located outside the old city). However, the distant location is compensated for in every way. Transfers to the city are on request and free of charge. Trips to the night market and a boat tours are organized and (motor)bikes can be rented at a fair rate (recommended!!). Rooms are spacious and spotless, and breakfast is made to order. All in all, Ban Sabaidee is hospitality at its best, with great value for money!
By far the best place ever!”
the hotel is not really in the center, but the staff is superfriendly and helpfull. they drove us around the city all day, organised a boat trip on the canals... the next day we rented a motorbike and did a small tour ourselves. every night they drove us to the city and we had dinner at a nightmarket or in a lovely restaurant. i really can't say this enough, if you go to ayutthaya and want to have a wonderfull time, stay in the ban sabaidee hotel, you wont regret a single moment. thanks again!!!
We stayed for 3 nights at the Ban Sabaidee Hotel. The rooms were clean, very large, as was the bathroom. The manageress was able to communicate with us, no problem, and very, very helpful. Although this hotel is 6km out of town, we were driven in by the manager or one of her staff every morning. She also took us out at night to show us some of the ruins under lights and another night to a expo festival. The day of our departure, we were treated in seeing a traditional Thai wedding, which topped off our stay beautifully. The breakfast was freshly cooked every morning, and fresh produce was bought every day from the market by the manager, for her guests dinner. The meals were fabulous. Would definitely go back again. Hello to Yui and Sabaidee.
Excellent family hotel, must stay”
It is our best hotel in our one week Thailand trip. I chose this hotel because I read from the reviews on how friendly the owners were. It is so true. We arrived at night; the tuk tuk driver had some difficulty of driving us there but with the help of local people, we got there without problem. The female owner is Yui. She invited us to join their family dinner. We had a very nice time trying the real local thai food and talked with her big families. It was such a pity that we only booked it for a night. They had a very nice swimming pool, if we were not that tired, we really would like to try it out. The room is quite comfortable with large space to put your luggage. Oh, we got a very nice breakfast in the next morning too. They shared some thai fruits with us. The place is really feeling like staying at home. Yui is so friendly that she showed us some important landmark to visit in Ayutthaya; took us to rent a motorcycle and bargained a good price for us. We kept our belongings in her car and we went to tour around Ayutthaya. When we finished our tour, she took us to the train station to catch our next stop. We are definitely going back again and staying there for at least two or three days next time.
a fantastic place to be”
ban sabaidee was a fantastic place to be. we never experienced such a hospitality before. yui, the owner of the hotel did everything to make us feel welcome and more than that. she proved to be a super guide showing us all the place of interest of ayuthaya. we will certainly visit the ban sabaidee hotel again.
We had a really great stay there. The hotel is located approx. 6 km outside of the city center with a nice temple in walking distance. A perfect location just for relaxing at the pool as it is quite calm. The owners were very very friendly and helpful and the stay in Ayutthaya was one of the best during our 4-weeks trip. Because of the owners we were able to get to absolute non touristic places and an insight in thai family life. We had a very great time there. Thank you so much!!!
Simply the best”
After travelling around Asia for three months i was lucky to find this hotel ,it was an oasis for me, the staff are just so helpful, the manageress, well we spent more time together with her driving me (free) to food markets attractions and anything else. the hotel has the cleanest sweet water pool that i have ever been in , add to this that the hotel is just 10 mins outside the city centre and is so peaceful in the evenings....the roads around are quiet and safe to drive , i hired a scooter and was out and about every day .to rate this hotel out of a possible 10 max then it has to be a 15 if possible ....just read the reviews...a home from home ...with good free wi-fi, ideal for Skype ...i could just keep going on ...but until you stay here you will never know what your missing.....will be back for a month next year.
Good value for money and nice pool”
Staff were friendly & welcoming. Room was a good size, clean & comfortable. But ground floor and it overlooked the garden area so we had to close the curtains for changing. We were so glad to use the swimming pool after a full day's sightseeing at the hottest time of the year. Several taxi drivers didn't know where the hotel was so we had to try several drivers. It is a little way out of town, but easy to get to once you know where it is. We hired a motorbike for sightseeing and always made our way back to the hotel with no problems. Breakfast was nice and also very generous. The hotel staff gave us a lift to the train station when we were leaving.
great hotel, a little out of town”
large comfortable rooms. rural environment about 15 minutes from centre of ayuthaya. hotel will take you into ayuthaya, tuk tuk back costs around (february 2012). can walk to 7-11 (room has a fridge), and a few small street food vendors. hotel is quiet and swimming in pool at night is really beautiful, starry skies etc. hotel staff can recommend and organise anything you might want to do during your stay, usually they'll assist with your transport.
Great hotel and best staff”
Where do I start......This place is run by the friendliest, kindest and most helpful manager I've ever met....Yui and her family made me feel more at home than I've ever felt before at any hotel...she invited me to have meals with her and her family, drove me around to all the temples, took me into town on numerous occasions and even took me out to lunch and drove me to get my train when I left. The rooms were extremely clean and very comfortable. Beautiful clean pool and great atmosphere to chill and unwind. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at thanks to Yui.
great hotel, wonderful staff, a little out of town”
manager drove us short distance to a small restaurant, although he did say we could eat in the hotel if wanted but from a basic menu of fried rice dishes. he then drove us into town (10mins) and told us to ring him if needed for pick-up or get a tuk-tuk (b100). there was no charge for this. second day yui (staff member) drove a small group of us to a nearby wat, explained the history etc then dropped us off in town helping us to obtain 2 children's bikes which wasn't easy (we had to try several places) again no charge. hotel is in a rural setting, people fishing nearby, very peaceful. pool is great after a long day bike-riding. breakfasts are huge, as much as you want tea, coffee, cereal, fruit, toast etc plus bacon and eggs. 6 stars!
Lovely hotel with much service”
we had à great time in ajutthaja and the hotel. room perfect, swimmingpool, very helpfull staff, restaurant, drinkend wen we liked etc. the quality and price where oké. the hotel lies 6 km from the city.
Warm,friendly, personal service.”
Despite this small family hotel being outside the center of the historic town, we enjoyed our stay so much that we found it hard to leave after a week. If you are looking for a place that is more than a hotel but a wonderful Thai family experience in a quiet rural setting, this is the place to stay. The breakfast is made specifically for you with a choice of American or Thai style with lots of fresh fruit. You are not just a guest to Yui, but part of her extended family. We would not hesitate to stay again.
Friendly family hotel”
To get there wasn't easy as there aren't many road signs towards the hotel. Reception girl very friendly and helpful. Good English. Rooms spacious, clean enough. Bathroom ok. Amenities are minimal but for the price of this hotel one shouldn't expect more. A water cooker to prepare some coffee in the room would be welcome. Swimming pool more than ok, the kids enjoyed it, especially after full days of temples, floating markets and other shopping areas. Only downside: the restaurant. Breakfast was eatable but the restaurant isn't the cleanest we've ever been to. Also too many ants on the buffet to remain attractive. Lunch / dinner a la carte idem dito: eatable and cheap but that sums it up ... All in all good value for money. The manager?/ owner?, reception staff (family daughter?) and F&B manager (family grandfather? F&B sounds too funny if you'd see the restaurant though) are very helpful, willing and friendly and that's probably their biggest asset.
Nice peaceful place to stay”
Nice, peaceful place with good environment. Good to stay both for one night or longer period. Staffs are quite friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, new, with all needed facilities ie. TV, fridge, with towels. Bed and bed sheet are clean as well. Not too far from the city, just around 5-10 mins. to get there, and there are many tourist attractions nearby.
Warm welcome. Feel like home.”
Reasonable price. The location is not far from tourist attractions. Good housekeeping. Only delta is the potable water smell.
Good hotel and lovely staff”
Stayed at the hotel for one night and it was good. The staff was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and the rooms are fine. The hotel is located outside the city center which was no problem for us as we had out own minibus - it may be a little inconvenient if you do not have your own transportation.
Peaceful and nice service mind hotel”
The hotel is peaceful and a bit far from down town that it gives you peace, but transportation is needed. However, the hotel provides it, you can contact the hotel. The owner, K.Yui, is very nice. Her lovely service mind made us feel like we stayed at home. We were very impressed. This hotel went beyond our expectation and was really worth our budget.
In 15 years of travel to Thailand, this is tops”
My best hotel ever - I wanted to see the old city and I was treated like loyality by all - taken around the city, given meals, advice and just such a special stay - I cannot recomend enough - what lovely people!!!!
