Nice vibe, with free/cheap events, food and drinks. It’s not very obvious that the hostel is spread across two different locations, several miles apart, so make sure you check which one they’ve booked you into, and that you’re happy with that location!

Hot in Summer”
Visited in June, very hot. No A/C. Had noisy, not great fan and found it hard to sleep. Remember, it's a hostel not a hotel so, for a hostel, it's pretty decent and great location but too hot. Window opens but smelly and noisy when open. Also, room and hallway really stunk of pot and tobacco.

It depends on the kind of traveller you are. If you're a hitchhiker or you've been camping, this is a great place to grab a sleep and a shower and maybe meet some people. If you a traveler like me, just visiting LA, this place sucks. Constantly smells of cigarettes or weed, the tiki bar was closed, the beds are TERRIBLE, the towels were clean but have def seen better days, and the hotel is in kind of a sketchy place. The outside looks like an abandoned building. Also. If you stay here, arrive during daylight

Great place to stay... front desk, customer service sux”
Great place to stay, cheap and affordable so don’t expect the Hilton or ritz when you arrive but certainly value for money. Only downfall is customer service.with staff. They hire backpackers for front desk so the desk people aren’t there cause they want to, but cause they have to as it pays for their rooms.... I said hello every time I came and left for the day but was ignored! I come from a hotel and hospitality background so I get the industry and customer service ALWAYS makes a lot of your experience when you stay.... other than that, awesome place

Motel en pleine ville, très animée (musique les soirs), tolérante pour les fumeurs (rare en Californie), propre. Petit déjeuner simple mais dispo. Seul bémol: places de parking très limitées. Comme l'hôtel est dans un quartier résidentiel, vous risquez de tourner LONGTEMPS pour vous garer. un conseil: arrivez tôt le premier jour et ne déplacez plus la voiture :-)
