Serenity smiles”
We had a wonderful stay at Banburee Resort and Spa. The staff is wonderful all the way from manager to waitresses. On arrival, we were instantly upgraded to a villa instead of a deluxe room free of charge. Furthermore a baby bed for our seven months old daughter had already been installed in the villa. Pool area was nice as was the restaurant - offering an international menu card ranging from all kinds of European/American food to traditional Thai kitchen. All very nice! One point to be considered, however, is how far away from the "city" you want to be. Do you want to party or relax, do you want to try several restaurants or just go for the nice, but also a bit more expensive resort restaurant? If you want a bit of both there are options for that too staying at Banburee. If you rent a car or scooter/motorcycle, you'll have no problem getting to and from Lamai whenever you see fit. The resort also has a free shuttle service to Chaweng and Lamai every day. Lamai is pretty much just a smaller version of Chaweng - you'll find nothing in Chaweng you can't find in Lamai. Another point is that the beach at Banburee is not for swimming. Some might beg to differ, but to the best of my knowledge not many beaches on Samui are compared to the Andaman Coast. The water is murky, and the waves are anything but family-friendly. This goes for Chaweng and Lamai as well. We didn't consider this a downside, however, since the pool area was indeed very nice. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much - we might just come back for seconds.

Paradise”
We just got back from 29day vacation in Asia.We stayed at 9 different hotels but Banburee Resort and Spa was the best by far. The hotel facilities were very good. The condition of the rooms, facilities and restaurant were excellent. The service was very friendly. On behalf of my family, I want to thank the security guard and the women at the restaurant for their excellent service and making our stay most memorable.

Beautiful resort with a misleading name ”
I really loved this resort everything was spot on. It was quite and there were plenty of shady places to just go and relax even a swing on the beach. I stayed in one of the smaller cheaper rooms but would consider staying in one of the bungalows if I was to return. If you wish to use the gym remember to take a towel with you and some sanitizer as there is no cleaning equipment in there. However the title of the hotel is a little misleading all spa inclusive is not all inclusive a little disappointing when everything else is so great.

Hidden gem, perfect for relaxing after a busy 5 weeks full of fun travels through Thailand ”
Pros: pool and beach were wonderful we loved spending time on the beach a lot, no vendors, no crowds, lots of locals collecting clams and fishing in the shallow waters. We never took the shuttle to the other resort as we loved Banburee for the peace and quiet. Breakfasts were awesome, shuttle to the night market on Saturday night was great. Live music at the restaurant was terrific. Staff are so helpful and super friendly, the ground workers would stop and great you, scooter rentals and they booked our trip to the airport which was awesome. Cons: Our room was in the main complex on the second floor, we must of had the misfortune of super noisy neighbors as we were woken up all hours through the night by doors slamming constantly beside us and it sounded like a whole Reno went on above us from 1:10am in the morning until 2am one night . No availability to a villa when we requested a few days ahead., which is what we would do for sure. Beach is shallow for swimming in..

Great hotel for couples”
The Banburee Resort and Spa is a beautiful resort located beach side. The service was excellent and my room had a wonderful view and was extremely spacious complete with a spa and separate large rain shower. The beach itself was not as nice as I had expected but the swimming pool made up for that. The only improvement I could of wished for was internet access in the room. There was only one terminal in the hallway which was normally occupied. I would definitely go back as a couple.

Amazing 2-day retreat”
I came to Banburee following a grueling 7-day silent retreat, and it was the perfect place to have some quiet, alone time to decompress. The front desk staff was super accommodating and moved me to a second-story room with balcony at no extra charge. They lent me a yoga mat free of charge, and I did yoga down by the beach several times. I swam in their amazing pool multiple times a day. My only complaints were that the restaurant was a bit pricey (with small portions) and the location was a bit far from most other attractions. I didn't mind this, because I was happy to stay at Banburee. If you're hoping for an action-packed trip, this probably isn't the spot for you. But if you're looking for a quiet respite to just relax, this place is perfect. I can't recommend it more.

Great Place to Stay”
A beautiful Hotel with excellent location and great staff, beach is very small so if you like beach holidays this is not the hotel for you, Free hotel bus service several times a day to the two main places to go and the big beaches, highly recommend renting a car or bike for full freedom, lots of attractions close by including the mountains, Aquarium and Tiger zoo a must to visit. We have two young kids 5 and 7 and had an excellent time for two weeks in the hotel, we are well traveled and would put Samui and the Banburee towards the top of our list of places to go and stay

Quiet hotel - but NOT disabled friendly”
We had a very relaxed stay here. The rooms are spacious and clean with a good bathroom - even the smallest deluxe rooms have lots of space with large walk-in shower and spa bath. The gardens are lovely although view from some of the ground floor deluxe rooms is very limited. Pool is great but beach not that good. The tide goes out a long way on the beach so swimming in the sea is only possible for a few hours each day. Pool bar never seemed to be staffed so have to get drinks from main bar and service can be very slow. Free wi-fi but it is VERY slow. There are 2 things you need to be aware of. 1. The location is very remote so car/scooter hire is essential if you want to see the island or go out in the evening. There is no local bus or tuk tuk service to the hotel. Although the hotel has a free shuttle bus service to Lamai Beach, this only operates during the day so you will probably end up eating in the hotel at night. Food OK but overpriced and only average. 2. The resort is built on a hill so there are quite steep slopes and a 100m walk from reception to the Canna restuarant - which is actually now no longer in use as a restaurant. To get to the pool and Queen restaurant where all food is now served you have to go down an additional 16 steps from the Canna Restaurant. I have difficulty walking and climbing stairs so this was a serious problem for me.

Wonderful Relaxing Stay”
We had an amazing stay! The staff couldn't have been any better, they were always so helpful. The resort itself was beautiful, laying by the pool and staring out at the ocean while drinking a cocktail was fabulous! The rooms were really nice and clean. Loved the jet bathtubs! We loved our stay and have absolutely nothing bad to say except that the resort is 20mins from the town but they offer you a free shuttle to and from town so it's not a problem at all.

Best place at Ko Samui!”
Wonderful place in a nice and quiet enviroment. The bungalows are too good to be true, you wont miss a thing! The staff is the best we've met, good service, frindly and they always greets you with a smile! The breakfast is great and so is the restaurant you get to dine in. If you ever get tired of the fantastic resort and it´s calm surrondings the hotel offers a free shuttlebus to Chaweng or to Lamai (you get happy by just looking at the polite driver). We really recommend this resort, it's the best we have been to!

❤️😎🙏”
Very peaceful location, the sea view room was very spacious with a huge bed, great air con and a hot shower. Was very quiet with guests while we were there so there was not much of an atmosphere - The restaurant was good a bit pricey for what it was and I did not like how there was a 10% tax and 5% service charge on EVERYTHING including a bottle of water... the hotel managed to arrange a moto scooter and car for us easily (which I recommend to get around to 7/11 etc) 10/10 for the Staff - we left a Go Pro behind and received a call when we arrived back in Aus from the hotel, so thank you so much! :) would stay again for the price which was very cheap.

Great pleace, quiet, nice people ”
The Best hotel in Thailand ! Place is very quiet- far from everything but you can rent a motorbike. Room is bery nice, Big and clean, in the bathroom you have baht with hydromassage and shower too. Pool is realy grate and you have view on the see from there. Only restaurant is not so good, Servis is greate but Food is not. Is not so expensive- we pay 650 per 2 person for Food and drink, the Big minus is they have in menu price netto, so they chargee 7% of tax, and 10% per servis.

Exceptional”
Excellent accommodation. Some of the reviews suggested it was too far away from other establishments. There are lots of interesting restaurants and a wonderful local vibe to explore nearby. It is easy to rent a motor scooter to get around and worth it to experience the area. We loved the slower pace on this end of the island. With transportation there are a number of good restaurants within easy reach of the hotel. Amazing staff, wonderful views. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely”
This hotel was lovely although quite out the way of anything! The hotel offers moped and car hire +helmets for a very reasonable price. We only stayed for a night so maybe a week would be a little too much. Rooms were superb, nicest we've stayed in on our travels so far! Dinner was great however breakfast could of been better. Staff are amazing though! Would definitely return for a couple of nights!

Great place to get away!”
Great value for money. Far away from all the hustle & bustle of Koh Samui - great place to chill & relax with the family. Helpful staffs, good facilities & food. Location is not great - far away from everything. Only way to get around is taxi or car rental.

Wonderful piece of paradise”
We stayed there for a week. Everything was great. The only downside was the location. It's perfect if you are trying to get far away from civilization but if you are planning to see some local life too then closest restaurant outside resort is about 1,5km away, the closest small shop is 2,2km and the nearest city is about 10km away.

Beautiful and peaceful spot.”
We had a lovely time there and staff were very friendly and helpful . We had my sister with us in the adjoining room who 's invalid and in her wheelchair, she did alright most of the time in spite of the hilliness of the site, any places she couldn't manage ,the staff were on hand , a great help. The only problem was the swimming pool and the beach ,too many steps down and no slope for wheelchairs. Please look in to it, we picked the hotel which provided for disabilities and the beach and swimming pool facility would be quite important for visitors to the island. If we come to Samui again on our own, we 'll definitely stay here again, but with my sister ?? Do let me know if the slope to the sea's provided in the future. By the way , my sister enjoyed it there too.
