Always a Nice Stay”
The Bangkok Lotus is a beautiful hotel just north of the Asoke/Sukhumvit area, which is the center of Bangkok. It's located a short walk from the sky train and the subway. The staff was polite and efficient and checking in and out was easy. The hotel does date back to the 90's but it's still a beautiful building with quality furnishings. The television and internet worked well and there is plenty of good food available both in and near the Lotus. The view from the higher floors is impressive. This is a good choice for lodging in Bangkok.
Great hotel, Friendly staff, Great location”
I stayed here with my whole family, we came here for a birthday celebration. When we first drove in we were a little bit surprised by all the "red light" bars on the street, but this is Bangkok, and that is common and not really a problem. The hotel itself is away from all those places, and near the main road, just minutes away from a 7-11, the Skytrain station, and The Emporium shopping centre, which is exceptional. This hotel is in the heart of Bangkok's "Middle class" neighbourhood, so there is no shortage of shops, restaurants and public transport in the immediate area. The hotel itself is very comfortable, beds are soft and the pillows are amazing (you get your choice of different pillow types). Breakfast was not included in my room price, but what I paid for for breakfast a few times was a reasonable price for a really great variety of good food. Room service was very fast and responsive, and one time when I had a problem with my toilet getting blocked, somebody came and fixed it within 15 minutes - amazing. The staff are very friendly, and speak very good English, and I would highly recommend. The only thing I might complain about was that there is a funny smell in the lobby. I think it's because the giant lotus pond (which is beautiful) in the middle of the lobby might have some fungus or something, but honestly, that was the only bad thing I have to say about this wonderful hotel.
Nice location and accomodation”
This is my first time to visit Bangkok Hotel Lotus. Employees were really friendly and nice. I like the managers' smiles Room is always clean and comfortable. One thing I don't like was toilet's flushing strength. It is little bit weak but except for that, everything was perfect. I would like to visit there again.

A pleasant stay!”
My stay at Novotel Lotus was a very pleasant one indeed! Upon arrival, they took such wonderful care of me. Although I arrived a bit early around noon, they profusely apologized for making me wait for the room and even offered free drinks at the lobby coffeeshop. However, even before I had a chance to sit down, another staff member informed me that she was able to get me a room upgrade and the room was ready! The room was very clean and comfortable, especially because of the bed. The bed was very firm and yet very comfortable. It felt like one of those Tempurapudic bed which doesn't shake even if someone next to you jumps on it. Nice! The location at Sukhumvit Soi 33 is quiet convenient with many small shops, i.e. 7-11 just right around the corner, massage shops, food mart, restaurants, bars and yes, the train station within walking distance. It's not the best location, however, if someone drives into the city to pick you up. The only thing I didn't quite appreciate was the busy traffic right in front of the hotel and small entrance area. I would recommend this place as a very presentable hotel at a presentable price!
A pleasant experience”
Our visit to the Novotel Lotus, Bangkok was very pleasant. The staff was very co-operative and smiling and helpful, especially the concierge desk. The rooms too were cozy and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The arrangement of towels was especially noteworthy. There are also some eateries nearby if one doesn't want to eat in the hotel. All in all it was a good experience at the Novotel Lotus.
I quite enjoyed my brief stay at the Novotel Lotus Hotel. The staff was delightful, courteous and efficient. Check in and check out procedures were managed smoothly and quickly. The facilities are clean and well maintained and the room more than I expected. I was greeted with a room level upgrade, which was a pleasant and much appreciated surprise. I also dined in the restaurant on the 9th floor. The buffet was well prepared with creative offerings providing a wide variety of choices. The atmosphere relaxing and enjoyable. I look forward to my next stay at this hotel.
new name, same hotel ”
I've stayed at this hotel probably more times than any other Bangkok Hotel. No real changes as far as I can see other than the name and a slightly cheaper room rate through agoda.com. The staff are pleasant, courteous and efficient. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is excellent for shopping, nightlife and transport and it's nice and quiet being a little off Sukhumvit Road. I'll keep coming back since it's good value for money.
Feedback on Stay at Novotel”
Our stay at Novotel was overall quite pleasureable. Right from hospitable staff greeting us at the reception, the bell boys, ambience, air conditioning, food, hygiene value, quality of rooms, cleanliness, there wasn't a single let down factor. The hotel is located quite nicely at the Sukhumvit road which gives options to just walk out casually to any of the joints in near vicinity and come back to room within no time. We would like to stay again in Novotel Lotus when we come to Bangkok. Keep it up!
More expensive than before.”
I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years and since it changed from Novotel Lotus to the Bangkok Lotus I think the price has increased a little. There were certainly better deals through Agoda a couple of years ago. The staff are very good and mostly unchanged and the rooms are the same - spacious, clean and well appointed and generally good value for a 4-star hotel. It's been a while since I've used the restaurants there since there are plenty places to eat nearby. I'll continue to use the Lotus provided they have a deal on the room rate since there's similar hotels for less money and better hotels for the same money in Sukhumvit.
My Second Home”
Lotus Sukhumvit Hotel is my second home whenever I’m in Bangkok whether it is for my business travel or holiday. The hotel is strategically located. You can find anything food, entertainments, shopping mall and the train is just few minute walk. Hotel room is clean and comfort. The breakfast served is also good.
Have stayed at Novotel Lotus on many occasions and is my favorite Mid Range Hotel in the area. The Agoda price is excellent value and cheaper than Novotel Siam Square for pretty much the same accommodation. Good restaurants, excellent welcoming staff, spacious and well appointed rooms and an hotel you come back to time and again. I've not had a bad stay in Novotel Lotus on dozens of visits.
My experince stay with Novotel Lotus ”
I did have a pleasant stay in Novotel Lotus from 21 Dec till 24th Dec'09. I like the location of the hotel and is only 5 mins walk to the BTS station. There are eatery shops and hawker stalls around the hotel hence I have many choices for food and pubs. I'd consider to stay here again if the price is competitive and attractive. My benchmark is Emerald hotel and I like this hotel the most so far my many trips to Bangkok.
Bangkok Hotel Lotus Sukhumvit is one of the 2 hotels i normally stays in Bangkok. it is convenient for me to stay here as the location is near where i need to go. the hotel as always is very accommodating and efficient. i think this is quite normal in hotels in Thailand as Thais generally are kind and corteous people.
Have stayed at this hotel many times. I keep coming back because it has nice, well appointed rooms, a great location and excellent staff. Agoda have some very good prices and I flip between the Novotel Lotus and any of the 3 or 4 other hotels in the area that I regularly use. It's always cheaper than the Novotel Siam for very similar rooms. I'll cetainly use this hotel again in the future.
Easily among the better 4 star properties in Bangkok, Novotel lotus offers very good value in terms of quality of rooms & Food, both. Special mention to the service by the staff. Proximity to the Emporium Mall is a big plus and the Sky train station is only a 3 minute walk away.
The best value for money I have found in such a good location. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The hotel is very quiet and the pool area is a little tired looking but it is ok and this is reflected in the price. It is close to public transport links so easy to get anywhere in Bangkok. Lots of eating places in all price ranges in the immediate vicinity. This is my first choice hotel when I stay in Bangkok.
i have stayed in the Bangkok Hotel Lotus Sukhumvit hotel for a lot of times. the hotel is not as big as the others but if you are just going to Bangkok and you will be out all day. it is still a good choice. lower rate and nice service. worth the money and time as well.
Nice room, attentive staff, good location”
I have stayed at the Bangkok Hotel Lotus for over 11 years----usually showing up once a year---their security has gotten beefed up as now you need a key card to get to rooms from the elevator, the staff is friendly and helpful as always but my room had strange miniscule tiny black spiders in the desk and wood cabinets---they need to do something about this-----I choose a hotel for swimming pool but the water was really to cold to swim in-----otherwise very comfy bed, hotel is getting older so connecting to internet took 2 staff people to install ---but all in all good location, friendly staff and nice amenities.
I recomend staying at the Novotel Lotus the location is ideal. There are different types of restaurants and bars with girls and without nearby. Shopping is close by and if you want too walk down the steet you have all the street stalls or you can hop on the sky train and go 2 stops. The sky train is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The staff are very friendly and they will only be too happy to help ypou in any way they can.
Location, room, facility, Service are good enough compare with price. I suppose this hotel is very reasonable and confort to stay for private trip to Bangkok. This hotel is near to shopping (Fuji Super, Emprium) and near to BTS station. Near by the hotel, several good ordinary restaurants massage/drinking place are there.
