An ok stay”
We enjoyed our time here, had a nice hammock on the balcony which was cool. The room was small and was quite hot at night. Close enough to the town (Khao San Road) maybe 5-10mins walk but far enough out to avoid all the noise from the bars etc. Staff were helpful but we had to pay for hot water for noodles etc...we felt small perks like this should be included in the price of £8 a night. Wifi good. Overall a good stay, we would recommend but for the price you could probably find somewhere nicer with better facilities.

worst experience ever AVOID!!!”
We arrived late (12:30 in the night) because of our flight, after Knocking the door a few times a young girl opened, we gently asked to check in and showed our reservation details while we were standing outside. she answered that the check in is not possible room not available anymore and asked us to go away trying to shut the door in our faces, even when everything was already paid and there's not any information regarding late check in policies (it wasn't that late anyway)... luckily a couple of guest arrived then and we could sneak I'm and discuss further, she call the owner (I guess) and after 30 minutes of waiting and her really rude behaviour we we are asked to go to the hostel next door where a guy was waiting for us and gave us a room. at least we could sleep but I would avoid this place at any cost

Excellent location”
I like this place because it is located quite near Khaosan road, but not too close so you can stay away from the crazy noise of this busy street. Also, it took us only 15 minutes to walk from our hostel to Grand Palace. There is no BTS train nearby; however, if you travel from Don Muang Airport, you can take Shuttle Bus or Bus 59 to Khaosan road, then walk around 10 minutes, pretty convenient. No matter how late you reach Bangkok, streets around this hostel is always lively; there is nothing to be afraid. Minus points are that the room is really bad smelling and staff didn't appear friendly at all.

Fine for a backpacker on a budge, cheap & wants to share shower or toilet, hearing personal noise! ”
Upgrade to room with private Bathroom. Shower flooded floor. Sink, counter needed a wipe down. Floors tacky, sheets greasy feeling (can hardly believe at that price they would wash them after each customer) smell of smoke came in through the window (from house next door or someone) you'all need ear plugs, I heard sneezing, the sound of people using toilet, quiet distinctively too! Door, floors squeaked. My friend thought the second would come down on him!

its great for low budget stay but dont expect much from it. staff were ok but made no effort in getting to know you. i stayed 7 nights & the room was never clean nor made the bed, though not that it bothered me as i was out during the day everyday. in spite all that, it worked for what i needed & met my budget. its convenient & at good location, wish it wasnt shared toilet & showersroom though

Very basic rooms in good location”
The best thing about this guesthouse is the location close to Khao San Road and Pom Pra Sumen Park. Rooms are very basic. If cleanliness is important to you choose some other guesthouse. One point that I would like to mention is that I didn´t feel very safe here. In my last night there was somebody trying to break into my room for stealing my belongings. Luckily I woke up on time so he escaped.

Very cheap and very basic ”
This guesthouse is fairly central and quiet. The place is also clean.
This guesthouse offers very cheap room so don't expect much for that price. The room we had was very boxy with the window giving directly onto a wall. The staff doesn't speak much English and is quite unfriendly as well.

Location, price, quiet
The room was really cheap. The beds were not comfortable at all, no air con, suspicious sheets. The staff doestn't really speak english. The location is great, really quiet area, only 10' away from Khao San Road. Ok for just one night.

Average ”
old traditional wooden house, small courtyard with a tree and a few chairs, in one of the old, charming districts of Bangkok
Not comfortable, definitely not the best deal in terms good quality for money. My room (on the grand floor with so called garden view) turned out to be very noisy for 2 reasons: 1) the room has 2 small windows facing the court yard where people are chatting and smoking early in the morning... I had to keep the curtain closed all the time, and still had cigarette smoke smell getting into my room. 2) the wooden floor in the house cause every step to resonate. People getting up at 7 am and walking to the shower on the first floor sounded like elephant's walk! Besides the room's walls are built in dark wood, which has some charm but made the room very dark. Finally, the staff working at the reception was not engaging, seemed quite indifferent, the service felt impersonal and did not make me feel welcome. I left after two nights. Note: no food nor drinks provided onsite
