Stylish, Chic, Homely and Amazing Service! ”
What can I say about the Bangkok Loft Inn to do it justice? I absolutely LOVED this hotel; as did my partner. We arrived via the BTS and upon turning the corner onto the street where the hotel is located, we were met by an employee who came rushing towards us to help us with our baggage. We didn't realise at the time but we were the last guests to arrive that evening and they had been expecting us! The service only got better as we were given a detailed map of the area and told places to eat/shop and see and were then helped up to our room with our bags. The room itself was fantastic; Room 414. It was extremely modern; 42 in inch LCD TV, Fride Freezer, King Size Bed, Huge Shower, Closet and Leather Sofa. The decor was very stylish/chic and overall the room was extremely comfortable and pleasing on the eye. The air conditioning was very easy to use and we were able to set our room to a very comfortable temperature. Aside from the room, the service we recieved throughout our stay was IMPECABLE! The women in reception, who's name escapes me unfortunately, was fantastic. She detailed our map for us, with hot-spots to visit, she came outside and flagged taxis for us, she escorted us up the street to the local food stand and ordered food for us in Thai (as they didn't speak English) and she tried to find guests, who were checking out at the same time as us, for us to share a taxi with to the airport. She was like our "Thai Auntie" and made us feel extremely welcome. The Bangkok Loft Inn is also conveniently 2 minutes walk away from the Wongwian Yai BTS station which takes about 20 minutes to reach Siam station in Central Bangkok. The BTS is very easy to use and extremely safe. From the Bangkok Loft Inn, a taxi to the Khao San Road is only 70 Baht (around £1.40) so you are close enough to everything you would want to see but far away enough that you are not surrounded by Western mayhem. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!
A home away from home”
We stayed at the Bangkok Loft Inn three times in January-February 2013, for a total of 13 nights and we cannot rave about it enough. The rooms are smallish but well-appointed, with tea kettle and cups, hair-drier, fridge, safe and even slippers, which is a really nice touch at this price point. We loved the comfortable, enourmous bed. We were greeted upon our arrival with fruit juice and fresh fruits, which were offered 24/7 at the reception desk. At first we were worried that the hotel was on the "wrong" side of the river, away from all the excitement, but we soon learned that the location was actually great: it's near the Wong Wian Yai BTS (sky train), so you can easily go to the Chatuchak market (a must!), Siam Paragon, etc, and two stops away from Central Pier, where you can take boats to the Grand Palace, Wat Po (reclining Buddha temple), the flower market, and so on. All the convenience, but while staying in a quiet place. You are also near the train station that can take you ( with a little bit of initiative) to the floating markets about two hours away for a nice day trip. There are not many restaurants around the hotel, but lots of food stalls with good food, and a market that seemed to be open almost 24/7. The breakfast was very plentyful with lots of healthy choices, and we became addicted to a particular dish:Thai chicken soup with rice! But the real stars of the Bangkok Loft Inn are the employees. Warm, welcoming, very helpful. They could not do enough to make our stay special. We have not encountered this kind of service at much-higher price points. They kept our many suitcases while we traveled through Thailand, even though they took-up so much room in their office. Again, all this was done with grace and a smile. We highly recommend this hotel, hoping to find room the next time we go to Bangkok!
Away from main districts but safe!”
we stayed 3 nights with bangkok loft inn from 20th - 23rd. we met their staff at the airport, who sent us to the hotel, about 45 minutes away. my girlfriend said he drove safely as i slept throughout after working late the night before. the staff were pleasant and the room was big, clean and spacious with a big safe for our ipad, wallets and passports. the 2 points that need improvements are: the wifi connection did not work for us, after speaking to the front desk staff twice, once before we left for siam at about 1500hrs and the 2nd time when we got back at about 2300hrs, they managed to get it working for us, but it only worked for 2 hours before the connection was lost and repeated attempts to connect was unsuccessful, saying that our login failed. luckily i brought my portable mifi device and bought a 3g dtac sim card for 399 baht which provided us with internet connection, which allowed me to respond to work mails. the 2nd point was that we had the same breakfast for all 3 days. a selection of coffee, tea, fruits, cakes, bread, milk and yogurt is always available, but they offered the same american breakfast every morning with your preference of how the egg can be prepared and pork or chicken sausages. hams were standard though. we were still okay with that because we prefer a hot breakfast more than cakes/fruits, but it may not be as nice for others who prefer hot breakfast like us. i, however, must state clearly that the hotel is a great place to stay in, minus he small hiccups. security was great with a night staff sitting right next to the front entrance. we also see police officers at the lobby every now and then, which makes good police presence. the staff were also always full of smiles and ever ready to assist you. i also received a cake during breakfast as it was my birthday! in conclusion, i will definately stay at bangkok loft inn again, hopefully with much better wifi connection and more variety for their hot breakfas
Amazing Inn with helpful and friendly staff”
My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights at the Bangkok Loft Inn. It was our first stay when we arrived in Thailand and it was absolutely amazing. They picked us up from the airport, free of charge. This was the main reason we booked because we didn't want to deal with the taxi drivers when we first got to Thailand. Right from the time of arrival, all of the staff were friendly and helpful and wanted to make sure that you were satisfied with everything (from places to see, transportation, food, etc). I cannot say enough about the staff. Made the stay so much better. The rooms were very clean and it was just like staying in a hotel back home. The rooms also had a safe, which was nice because then you can put some of your valuables in it. I have no complaints about the Inn at all. Some people say the location could be better, but you take a 5 minute walk down the corner and then take the skytrain anywhere in the city. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. They made sure you were full and had plenty to eat. I would highly recommend the Bangkok Loft Inn as a place to stay in Bangkok and would definitely come back.
Good Base for Exploring Bangkok”
We recently stayed for a week at the Loft Inn and found it a great base to explore Bangkok. It’s very easy to grab a cab or tuk-tuk, or take a short 5 minute walk to Wongwian Yai BTS or a short walk to Wongwian Yai train station. The Loft Inn is situated on a main road that is very busy during the day but quietens down significantly in the evening. The hotel is described as boutique and only around 6 years old. Our room itself was clean and bright but not overly large, I guess due in part to the huge double bed that was very comfortable. The room contained facilities for tea/coffee making, AC, hair dryer, room safe, wall mounted TV with mainly Thai channels, arm chair, wardrobe and bar fridge. The bathroom was Western design with wash basin, toilet and shower with sliding screen. A couple of down points were that the AC was not cold enough and the shower water not hot enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and substantial, comprising of one main that you choose from a choice of eight options the night before (either Thai or Western) in combination with a buffet of fruits, breads and cereals. There is no gym or pool on site and we did not use the WIFI as we bought a local sim card on a plan. Up and down the road leading to the King Taksin roundabout there are numerous options for Thai street food, mainly geared towards Thais so if you are a little over fussy this may not be for you. Just outside the hotel on the right there is a little noodle soup stand that opens about 7pm and the soup is delicious and a steal at only 35 baht. From Bangkoks main international airport we paid 640 baht to get to the hotel by cab; this comprised of the fare of 505, surcharge 50 plus tolls of 35 and 50. We used a cab booked through reception at 500 baht to get from the hotel to Don Mueang airport. Considering the location and low price (around $50) the Loft Inn is a hotel to be highly recommended.
We Struck GOLD!!!!”
Once we arrived, we were greeted by a hotel employee at the airport who drove us directly to the hotel. We arrived late in the evening and the staff greeted us with smiles and a glass of cold orange-mango juice. The rooms are clean and spacious with a kettle and a small bar-fridge so you can cool a beverage or two. Before heading to our room, we were asked to fill our our preferences for breakfast which was served in a small dining area on the second floor. There is a good variety of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads/muffins and juice. For the hot portion (pre-ordered from the night before) we had eggs, omelets, bacon and ham. And all off the breakfast was administered by a wonderful lady who helped us with our hopeless Thai vocabulary - again, smiling, friendly and second to none. It is difficult to imagine that there could be many places to stay in Bangkok that are better than The Bangkok Loft Inn. We will travel to Bangkok again and when we do, we'll be staying at the Bangkok Loft Inn. Thanks so much.
5 Star Hotel without 5 Star Price”
as much as i’d love to keep this hotel to ourselves, i feel i must share my experience with others so that they too could benefit from staying here. it was a joy to stay with the bangkok loft inn for 4 nights. everything was as promised and as stated by other trip advisor reviewers. the hospitality, friendliness, service, and cleanliness were more than we could have asked for-despite our already high expectations. their bed, the sheets, the towels are some of the very best i have ever used (bed was just right, sheets and towels were so soft). this hotel is conveniently located near a bts stop but it isn’t for those who like to be in the center of the city action. but, during our stay, we met a woman who has returned to this hotel 15 times. i can clearly see why. we intend to do the same. thank you everyone at bangkok loft inn who made us want to come back again and again!
Great Value for Money with Excellent Service”
We were searching for a decent accommodation to stay on our anticipated 4-nights trip to Bangkok around end of April. Bangkok Loft Inn immediately appeared on top when we opted to sort for ones with best review. After reading through the positive reviews and lots of comparing later, we decided to book a Superior room with breakfast incl. Noticed some of the tips given by previous guests, we requested for a high floor – quiet room at the back. A day before our departure, we realized that we’ll be arriving quite late. And although we’ve been told that we can easily take a BTS/Metro to get to the hotel, the thought of a long day’s travel already felt exhausting enough. At the last minute, we noticed the special offer for an airport pick up service on their website. That same day, we received a confirmation that they’ll be picking us up at the airport on the scheduled time. We had a very pleasant stay at Bangkok Loft Inn and didn’t really have anything to complaint about. The hotel may not be located near to the central district, but it didn’t really bother us since the BTS station is just around the corner. The staff paid much attention to our requests without us having to remind them all over again. Breakfast was more than sufficient, and when we informed them that we’ll be going on a whole day tour and had to skip our breakfast, the prepared for us two complete breakfasts set to go the next morning. We would definitely recommend Bangkok Loft Inn and have no doubt that we’ll be returning to stay on our next visit to the city.
The friendly hotel”
We initially thought we chose the wrong hotel... We knew that The 5 minute walk from the the bts train is not a short walk especially if you just came from a jaw dropping shopping or from the long hot trip from the temples. However, upon arriving at Bangkok loft inn, we were welcomed by a friendly smile, well at first, we had problems with communicating with them, but there are staffs who were very fluent in English. We could even ask them to order at any fast food chain for us, which we have not tried in any other hotels we have stayed in. Internet access was easy, wi-if ready... Oh.. One thing, no English Channel on cable... Only one I think... Only Bloomberg ... No hbo, or any other international channel. It would be nice if you could add some English channels. We will surely recommend your hotel to our friends... And if we are able to go back to Bangkok? We will definitely stay at Bangkok loft inn... Again.. And again.. And again...
Comfortable hotel and friendly staff”
We had a very pleasant stay at Bangkok Loft Inn. Although this hotel lacks the amenities such as a pool and gym, it's definitely a 'no fuss' kind of place to stay (ie no need for your agoda.com receipt upon arrival and free wi-fi in your room). It's located 5 min from the BTS which allows you to travel easily around the city - 2 stops away from the pier for the water taxi, 7 stops from Siam SQ, 14 stops (inc transfers) to the Chatuchak Mrkt. Breakfast at Bangkok Loft Inn started my day off right (I recommend the chicken w/ rice - sounds so simple, but so good. The staff was always friendly. If we're ever back in Bangkok, we'll definitely stay at Bangkok Loft Inn again. Hands down.
Incredible Hotel Experience”
i have nothing but wonderful things to say about the bkk loft inn and its staff. from the start one of the drivers picked us up from the airport around midnight and brought us to the hotel. we were greeted with a smile once arriving despite the late hour. our room was fantastic, spotless upon arrival, large enough to fit both of our bags. the perfect place to rest after a long travel from the us. we enjoyed the breakfast spread every day during our stay. you get the choice of a hot option as well as the daily continental breads, fruits, and cereal selection. the woman at the breakfast bar was especially delightful and always greeted us with a smile and good morning. the free wifi only applies to one device at a time, so my friend and i had to alternate using our devices. a small inconvenience, but not a big deal. there are also two public computers in the lobby and the front desk will print out any boarding passes you may need if you ask. as far as location, i did not find it troublesome. it is in a part of town out of the way, but the skytrain is five minutes around the corner. two stops on the skytrain takes you to the central pier where you can hop on the chao phraya express boat to take you into the old town. all in all it takes about 15-20 minutes and 30 baht. basically plan to spend all day exploring the city before returning to the hotel. for the price and the quality of service bkk loft inn was one of the best hotel experiences i have ever had. i would certainly recommend it to anyone.
Best Service! :)”
me and my cousins stayed here last weekend. there was some mix up with the reservation i made with agoda since the voucher i printed out did not state that we specifically wanted a twin bed so we got the double on our first night. i called the front desk and they changed it on our 2nd night. so i suggest you should print the other voucher that includes the special instructions. the location was a bit far from major tourist spots in bangkok but it was ok since we were 4 and it was still cheap to take a cab. however, people in bangkok are not big on english so it would be easier if you get the hotel's calling card and just give it to the driver. we rode the cab there a lot of times and not even once did the driver immediately know bangkok loft inn. usually they call the hotel from their cellphone to get instructions. some would even make arrangements with you and not turn the meter on. the food in the hotel was good. i got the chicken and chicken rice, got to try the salad, the american breakfast as well as the porridge. the porridge was very tasty and filling for a breakfast. the salad was not such a hit for me, particularly because the dressing was just mayonnaise. their version of hainanese chicken was good as well. they also serve pork bbq, the sauce was separate but it was good as well. i liked that they had a separate "buffet" for the breads, pastries, fruits, cereals, yogurt, coffee, tea and other drinks. the best part of the stay really is the service. i've stayed on a lot of hotels over the past few years on different countries. but this is the first time that the hotel staff was so friendly to go out of their way and give us each an umbrella since it was raining when we were there. it made up for everything that they lacked. that's really my wow part! :)
oasis in Bangkok”
I keep coming back to the Bangkok Loft Inn. Lately with all the commotion in Bangkok, the Bangkok Loft Inn was a restive respite. I had no problem getting to Thonburi from the airport. Far enought from the demonstrations but also with easy access to central Bangkok. An added bonus is the proximity to BTS station and free wifi. Airport pickup very convienent.
Fantastic, Friendly, and Very Affordable!”
We had a wonderful stay at the Bangkok Loft Inn. We even returned for a 2nd stay already. The absolute highlight of the hotel is the incredible staff. They made us feel glad to be back every night and ready for each day's journey in the mornings. The breakfast is very good. There is a hot option (you choose 1 of 10 or so the night before), but the pastry/bread and fresh-fruit spread was so good I didn't even need the hot dishes. (the hot dishes were great too, but I don't eat that much for breakfast). The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. They skimped a little on the bathroom supplies (I'd recommend bringing your own shampoo & conditioner), but the basic necessities are there. I stayed in two different rooms - the beds were comfy, the air condition worked beautifully, and the flat screen TV was wonderful. The wireless signal was strong and the decorations sparse, but pleasant. The location can be far, depending on what you'll be doing in Bangkok, but there really is a enough right in the neighborhood (for food and shopping neccessities) and the Sky Train is just around the corner. 2 stops gets you two the river for sight seeing or stay on it to get to other areas. The toiletries are the only thing that make this a 'budget' place to stay. It is a great hotel. I will stay there again the next time I am in Bangkok and I will be recommending it to everyone I know headed that way!
Phenomenal customer service and incredible deal”
we just stayed at the bangkok loft inn last week for 4 nights and we were delighted with our stay. at $40/night for a double room, breakfast and wifi included, we did not expect such an incredible hotel. the staff is very friendly, always smiling and helpfull. the room is simple but very clean and with a very comfortable bed and pillows (cannot say the same of the 2 beds we slept on since we left bangkok!). in the room you have all the amenities you might need: flat screen tv with english channels, coffee/tea, 2 complimentary bottles of water every day, fridge and safe. breakfast is very good with a choice of a hot meal (you select it the night before) and a buffet with a variety of fresh fruits, sticky rice in banana leaf (yummie), yogurt, cornflakes, muffins/croissants. as we were arriving late at night, i sent an email and asked if they could send someone to pick us up at the airport. bob answered the same day confirming our pick up details.... clean, small pick up truck and, again, free of cost (if you stay more than 2 nights). as they are not located in the touristic area, this is a bonus and you avoid tha hassle of getting on a taxi from the airport at midnight, not knowing exactly where you need to go. it is true that they are not right downtown but they are literally located 7 minutes walk from the wong wian yai skytrain station from where you can connect to all the main touristic attractions within minutes. i would definitely go back if i visit bangkok again.
Very good choice”
Very good hotel. The staffs are very polite and helpful. Room very clean and confortable. Breakfast also very good, impressive. Location is also good, only 5 minutes walk from the BTS station. We stayed for 5 nights. Very satisfied with the service of Bangkok Loft Inn. We went there in Chinese New Year. The boss is a Chinese Thai. He can speak Chinese mandarine as well. We talked with him and his family members cheerly. They really treat you like a friend. We sincerely wish this hotel good business and good luck in the year of tiger. We will surely come again when we visit bangkok next time. Strongly recommend this hotel - bangkok loft inn.
Clean and cosy with friendly and welcoming staff”
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Bangkok Loft Inn. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the desk staff spoke good english. There is not a great deal to do close to the hotel but khao san can be walked to via the flower market, it is about 2km, or you can take a 60b taxi. Less that 5 minutes walk from the hotel is BTS SkyTrain station and you can be in central Bangkok in less that 20 minutes. The rooms are a decent size, our had a large double bed, a small couch and an area to sit and work. There was also a small fridge and kettle and a 32 inch tv on the wall. Overall very nice, clean and modern. The day we checked out we had to leave early, before breakfast was served. Because of this the staff very kindly prepared us a pack up with club sandwiches, fruit salad, juice and water. A really nice touch.
Deserved winner of Trip Advisor 'Best Budget Hotel”
My stay at the Bangkok Loft Inn was a little treat to myself and I'm pleased to say that it didn't dissapoint. I was picked up from the airport and given a free bottle of water (nice touch). Arrival and check in was hassle free - given free juice on arrival. The room was lovely. Well equipped with TV, Fridge (with complimentary water), Tea/Coffee maker (with complimentary tea/coffee). My room had a sofa as well which was really nice! Really nice decor. Lovely bathroom with plenty of towels, free shampoo/shower gel and other bathroom amenities. Free internet access throughout the hotel and free use of the computers in the small but perfectly formed business room complete with comfy chairs and soft lighting. I didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on it. The staff were amazing. So helpful and cheery. The hotel is entirely non smoking and they have thoughtfully set up a small smoking area outside - at 3am when I had jetlag I wassat outside about to have a cigarette and the nigt porter ran out to light m cigarette for me - sweet! The hotel is a little way out from the main sights but the Skytrain is a 2 minute walk away and the hotel staff will and can help you with getting a taxi or tuk-tuk. The hotel doesnt serve food apart from breakfast but there is a small food market about a 10min walk away (although you fo have to walk past a strip bar - complete with 'hostesses' standing outside!) There's also a 7/11 not far away. All in all a great stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
I was blown away by the staff at Bangkok Loft Inn. They went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant experience. We were only at the hotel for one night, but they held a package of ours for a week after our stay and when we needed help communicating with a tuk-tuk driver, three different people came out to the curb and helped translate, smooth over a difficult situation and found us a different driver to take us back to the hotel we were staying in that night. They even looked up our hotel's address and wrote out directions in Thai for the driver. This is the kind of service the staff at Bangkok Loft Inn will give you, even when you are no longer staying with them. Wow!
Great hotel with good service”
The Bangkok Loft Inn is one of the best price/performance hotels that I have stayed at. Super clean hotel in Thonburi district. A great hot breakfast and cold buffet was included. The bed was comfortable and rooms were spacious. Only spent one quick night here but I would definitely return!
