Great hotel”
Clean, large rooms - would highly recommend a villa - great gardens and pool. Quiet and felt completely safe. Fabulous local restaurants a few doors either side of hotel. Hotel lobby has coffee/drinks/snacks. 7/11 x 2 either side of hotel. Huge shopping center Tesco/Lotus across the road accessed by pedestrian overpass. Loved our stay and although 3 stars, value for money. Wifi, Netflix etc. Kitchen and bathroom separate. Def would return to Rama. Bus outside of hotel. We caught taxis to tourist spots for AU$10 -15. Chinatown, Jim Thompson, Shopping Malls etc.

What We Expected”
We needed an affordable hotel in this area with two rooms for the night. After reading the online reviews, this place seemed nice enough, but a bit run down with not having been taken care of over the years. That seemed about our impression of it during our stay, but nothing with the older appearance or facilities was really bothersome. Just, one could tell it probably use to be a much nicer place to stay then an average hotel. Compared to our other hotels we had around Bangkok though, we were happy with the price especially since there was nothing to complain about with regards to the room.

Not recommend for vacation”
The rooms are big quarter type rooms. The walk way in front of room is quiet small. No rack in the shower room so don't know how to put the things. There are two big TV but no hair dryer. No microwave. I choose the room including breakfast. Unfortunately breakfast is only three choices.

Great hotel staff, sumptuous breakfast...”
i stayed in a bungalow, with a living room, kitchen, spacious bedroom and shower room. the place itself is styled like a resort, with a swimming pool within the compound. having said that, the place is spotless and fully furnished (ac, cable, ref) though the walls could be redesigned; they should do away with pink flowers for a wallpaper, kinda tacky. their hotel staff is such a gem; very courteous and accommodating. i came with electricity off (floods still around the city of bangkok), but 5 minutes later, it was back. the amiable guy at the counter said, "you bring luck!" and i laughed at the coincidence. had they been less than attentive, i'd have had regrets. staying in this area was a whim - i've never been in this area before; turns out it's far from the city center. a taxi to the city center (siam malls, mbk) cost me 170b, and about the same on my way back - by meter. it's close though to the airport - 30-45 mins away. if you've no business outside the city center and aren't into shopping, bangkok rama would be an ideal place; a retreat house or resort away from the hustle of congested bangkok. but if shopping is your game, this is too far from the epicenter of tourism activity. breakfast was good; 2 vegetable entrees, fried eggs, bacon, ham, omelette, rice, 2 pork entrees; and was part of my agoda booking so that set me up for the day. for a review on the area, see that spot somewhere here.

Good hotel at cheap price”
I stayed in Bangkok Rama hotel cottage for 2 nights. It was very cheap. I thought, the hotel is cheap so it should be dark and uncomfortable to stay alone there. But I changed my mind from my first step that there is nothing to scare to stay alone, cottage was fully air conditioned, cleaned and there was complimentary water and coffee. It was really nice for long travel. And also the people who are working there were very very kind. I like the hotel. If I go to Bangkok again I will stay in Bangkok Rama hotel.

relax and let the world go by after your overseas ”
Value for money you certainly get at the Bangkok Rama. The receptionists were always willing to tell you about the local buses which connected up with the BTS rail service which saves you time and money when getting into the CBD. The receptionist would write in Thai to ask the bus driver/passengers to let me off at the correct BTS station. Local people wonderful in this way. Receptionists were able to answer any question and help out. Very, very friendly and I would not hesitate to go back again. The hotel section is a lot cheaper than the cottages and the rooms really great. I stayed in a cottage but next time I will stay in the hotel. Something like Aussie $18.00 a night. How do they do it!! Great Thai massages at the hotel.

Lovely Location near airport”
I have stayed in the Rama Hotel on more than one occasion I have found the Hotel very impressive and welcoming. The rooms are very nice indivigaul bungalows that are kept in a prestine condition with a high level of service. A nice size swimming pool is available and good to have especially in Bangkok during the high season. The hotel is located near to the airport and only a taxi ride from the main centre 200 baht to the Ko San road and less to the BTS skytrain which will take you anywhere you want to go.

Very friendly and hospitable staff!! A+”
My 1st hotel in my Bangkok adventure so nothing to compare it with. However, the staff could not have been more willing and helpful!! Good location, its a little out of the way if you want to go out every night. Some advice for taxi drivers! Tell them "Bangkok Rama Hotel" But also "Baan Siri" (This is the name of the hotel restaurant and is the main sign you see on the hotel)! Great buffet breakfast to keep you going all day!!

Well situated, away from the riots and floods”
i always stay at the rama because of the great location, but the breakfast is always cold. western people do not eat cold food for breakfast, especially, eggs, bacon, etc., the containers where food is placed needs to be updated. no food can stay hot with a candle underneath the steel container. (no covers on containers to keep food hot). hotel needs to invest in buying electrical containers with lids so that the food stays at a good temperature. not good for your health as bacteria can form on cold food that was once hot. i had to have my food heated up in the microwave. please can hotel attend to this very special request.

A Garden In the Urban Midst”
We stayed in a standard cottage surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of birds and insects greeted us everyday. The cottage was spacious with a living area, sleeping area and kitchen which we had fun cooking our food with the utensils and electric stove provided. The swimming was also well maintained and Nature surrounded us within the hotel compound. The plus point was the privacy and quietness though the main road was just about 5 minutes away from our cottage and the main hotel building. Breakfast was good with a mixture of American and Thai menu rotated everyday. The breakfast area was also very well kept. There is a dancing school within the main hotel building which interested customers could signed up courses for or just enjoyed the beautiful dancing couples whenever there was any class on. The hotel was within a suburban area and the airport subway train to/from airport and town was just 10 minutes away by taxi, bus or motorcycle service. It was about 15-20 minutes to the nearby 3 suburban malls. One could easily get food from the food stalls eateries and 7-11 which were lined up along the main road. Nature lovers would love this hotel which offered peace and serenity after a day's outing to city or malls. The suburban malls would satisfy the basic needs of mall lovers whose appetite would be satisfied with about 20 minutes into town via the airport subway train service. If U would to explore the suburban life of Bangkok, this hotel would be great to start with. Staff were friendly and approachable. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely return again.

Suited us just fine.”
we stayed at the Bangkok Rama and found it to be nice and quiet. We found the breakfast to be good and wholesome. The staff was friendly and helpful in many ways. It is not a new hotel and power went out while we were there, but they fixed in a few hours. the train station is near by for airport, down town, etc. We liked it, especially for the price.

Beautiful, quiet, generous and kind”
Loved this place and will stay there whenever I'm in Bangkok, which is often. The cabins are situated in a large kind of village behind the hotel, shrouded by trees, and are neat, scrupulously clean, and as quiet as the country - yet it's almost in the center of Bangkok. The pool is beautiful, largish, and very clean, and the breakfast was superb. Such a pleasant surprise to find a hotel that gives more than it had to, particularly considering the cheap rates. I hope very much they do well.

surprise,surprise”
This hotel consists of a main building and then cabin-like structures that are really comfortable. This place can't be beat for comfort and being 15 minutes from the airport perfect if you have an early flight from bangkok airport. The front desk was kind enough to pack a sandwich and orange juice since i had a real early flight. The cost to the airport by taxi was only $4.50 and of course the hotel calls the cab for you. All in all one of the best experiences at an airport hotel, plus swimming pool. An oasis in the big city.

Wonderful place . . . ”
Stayed 2 nights here. Cottage was older but roomy and very clean. The staff went out of their way to help answer questions and were gracious and kind. It was great to start or end the day with a swim in the pool. The hotel was a bit out of the heart of Bangkok, but with the rail system, it was easy to get there. If I am in Bangkok again, I will stay here again.
