Green House with Warm and Sincere Service”
I reserved two nights in Bangkok tree house with my boyfriend. This place is more modern than my expectation. The room is well-facilitated, with wifi, PC and air-con. The 2-storey house is absolutely spacious. It's very relaxing to stay at the roof top to enjoy sunset and stars in the evening since the weather becomes cooler. It's a bit scary to use the in-house staircase which is high and narrow! However, the interior deco is stunning that you can feel the nature even you are actually at the city of Bangkok. I would only suggest them to improve is the cleanliness of bedsheet and pillow case where I found some obvious dirt on them. The all-day dinning restaurant is another relaxing place where you can sit, chat and read for 24 hours. Ice-cream and chilled water are provided without charge as a refreshment all the day. The service is exceptional. After our reservation, we received a detailed email telling us the location, transporation and contact method which was very useful. When we arrived the pier, we were impressed that they sent a staff to pick us up and escorted us to the tree house. When we checked out, Joey, who is a nice owner, also sent a staff to assist us to leave and take a taxi. Actually, during the whole stay, the service there is outstanding that cannot be better!
most unique experience”
everything about bangkok tree house is so singular, unique, not found anywhere else. spend a night here, you won't regret it. arrive by taking a boat ride across chao praya river, indulge on 4 colorful different flavor herbal tea as you fill in your registration form, be surprised when you walk into the most awesome hotel room ever, watch your step and don't trip as you climb the puzzly looking stairs, enjoy a warm sun bathe in early morning, take a free bicycle ride in the afternoon, grab a few nibbles from the honesty bar, watch a movie from the computer before you go to sleep. staff are friendly and helpful. and you feel like you're a tad more in touch with the earth here. a perfect stay, looking forward to returning.
Thank you for your stay, we our pleasure to make you happy:) Bkk Tree House Staff
Beautiful natural setting”
Bangkok tree house is an ecofriendly and community-oriented hotel set in the beautiful bang nam phueng area of bangkok. It really does not feel like Bangkok here, more of a friendly village community. It is very wild here, full of life including huge monitor lizards! This is a great place to stay for those seeking a Glamping sort of experience outside the hustle and bustle of BKK.
Loved it!”
My wife and I stayed at Bangkok Tree House for our anniversary eve. The resort was easy enough to get to from Bangna Pier. Ignoring the obvious cons that the hotel itself can't control, the facilities were amazing! The Tree Top Nest was a pleasant surprise, you can't really tell from the pictures how it is. The doors open up to a semi-open shower,sink/toilet to the side and an awkward, yet abstract staircase to the actual bedroom. From the balcony outside the bedroom you climb up another rather steep flight of stairs to an open deck that has an outdoor bed. Loved that part. The staff was super helpful with everything. They set up our anniversary dinner on the roof of their restaurant with candles, flowers, and the works. Highly recommended.
Thank you for visiting us, happy your anniversary again:) Best, Tanaporn
eco-friendly escape from the bustle of Bangkok”
We loved the eco-friendly philosophy of the Tree House. It wasn't hard to reach from Bangkok, but felt a world away: lush, green, and quiet, with a very different pace of life. The restaurant and food were top-notch and we enjoyed local sightseeing by day (bike tour) and night (firefly tour by boat). Maybe not a great place for kids or elderly guests, though: the rooms placed experimental design over convenience, with some difficult-to-navigate staircases and compromised privacy (no door on the in-suite toilet, clear glass doors on the shower -- which was, however, really lovely). Would recommend to couples who don't mind roughing it a little.
Bangkok away from Bangkok”
We are a family with young child. Staying at Bangkok Tree House is like going to suburb out of Bangkok and enjoy slow life. We travelled by bicycle to explore the area. The hotel is very crowded and noisy on the weekends because the hotel becomes an attraction for everyone visiting the place to drop by. At night the hotel provides a firefly tour by boat which is very nice (when its not too hot). Food is good but quite expensive. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Room is cleverly designed but not suitable for old people to climb up to 2nd and 3rd floor. We are happy staying there even though the room price seems too high for this hotel standard.
In Bangkok, but not quite.”
Staying at Bangkok Tree House is truly an experience one can never expect from Bangkok. You will actually forget that you're holidaying in Bangkok. It is so serene and peaceful. Really sexy and romantic. Ideal for couple retreats!
Relaxing oasis in the green lung of Bangkok”
We spent two relaxing nights at the Bangkok Tree House enjoying the peacful atmosphere. We work in Bngkok and had never visited the area and it truely is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hotel had bikes available on request and we explored the nearby floating market. Don't expect to find a whole lot on offer near to the hotel, the hotel has more of a quiet retreat atmosphere. The breakfast was great. The free firefly tour on the river was a nice way to spend our last evening.
Nice Eco-Resorts”
A nice weekend staying at the Bangkok Tree House. Some very good pros for staying here but a few clear cons too. Pros: Lovely resort on the riverside with really nice, quirky rooms. It's really different from anywhere we stayed before and has some novelty value for that. Value for money was pretty good overall. Surrounding area has quite a few things to see and do - main activity really is to take a bike (they are free to use for hotel guests) and get around to local attractions such as the market. Cons: The resort itself can be quite difficult to find. Our taxi spent a lot of time circling around the area and phoning the owners for directions. It also gets overrun at weekends with locals also wanting to be in the area. As a result, it it can be quite crowded in the cafe/restaurant onsite. Also, the restaurant closes very early on a Saturday. We had intended to have our evening meal there but as it shut at 6pm, we instead needed to travel into the centre of Bangkok. I would still recommend it - just need to mindful of a few points as above when booking.
What a great experience!”
We stayed a night at the Bangkok Tree House at the start of our trip before heading back to the city area. We totally enjoyed our stay and wish we have stayed another night!
luxurious expensive way to experience bkk nature”
Firstly you should only consider this if you love nature. I liked the quirky 4 baht ferry ride across the pier to bangkok tree house, it's off beat location on the less known side of BKK, the lovely sumptuous breakfast, very nicely decorated and comfortable rooms (and desktop computer loaded with 'green movies' which my boyfriend and I loved to watch), spacious 'outdoor' shower and rooftop skybed. You can also get lovely snacks near the pier, and watch the local aunties engage in aerobics of sorts during weekday evenings at the primary school near the jetty which is really interesting! However, for someone who is less skilled at cycling, i find that the activities on the island are more limited. The island is really too huge to be covered by foot. My boyfriend who is an avid cyclist, loved the place as you can easily cycle to a lot of attractions. Staff was polite and curt, not really very warm or friendly but was helpful. The cycling tour guide Paul was very chatty and a great guide to my boyfriend. Overall I really liked the stay but for the price we paid, it was really too much... felt like a more luxurious Pulau Ubin (a singapore offshore island) island stay. would not recommend dining there for dinner because you will be SWARMED with sandflies. the mosquito coils that the staff burned didn't help much- both my boyfriend and I had multiple bites... food was quite tasty though, so it was a pity the experience was lacklustre. Breakfast on the other hand was fairly pleasant, with little/no disturbance from insects. On other thing- it can get a bit noisy with all the speedboats/boats roaring late into the night, and starting really early in the morning. if you decide to stay be sure to stay on a weekend and visit the floating market and also go for a bike tour with Paul. No need to pay extra for the room with a view or the family nest. You can easily take photos of these two without staying there, and they're definitely not worth the price
Great escape from city life”
Its our second time staying here, simply love the peaceful & relax time. Its a great escape from busy bangkok city, yet not too far away. It is quite easy to get there on our own too. We took a metered cab from airport (around 250 baht) to Bang Na pier, a 5 min ferry (4 baht per pax) across the river, then walk about 10 mins to Bangkok Tree House - with kids & luggage in tow, no problem at all :) Overall, the stay was good, with a complimentary fireflies tour this time (don't expect too much though) & simple but healthy breakfast options - we had porridge, eggs, toast, local kueh & fruits. We made use of the free bicycles rental & ride it to the weekend floating market nearby. The only complaint was the musky smell in our room, which was later overpowered by the lemongrass insect repellant provided. Other than that all was great!
over-priced, could be greener ”
Bangkok Tree House promotes itself as a green hotel and we were happy to pay the over inflated prices to support a good cause. However, I was really disappointed to see plastic straws served with every drink and water served from single use plastic bottles. Even the toilet paper rolls in our room were individually wrapped in plastic! They also claim to remove 1kg of rubbish from the river for every room booking. But the view from the window in the floor of our room looking down to the ground below, did give me cause to wonder: plastic bottle, a bucket, an old shoe..... If their aim is to help clean up Bangkok waterways and become zero-waste, then there is still more they could be doing. Having said all that, the staff were really helpful, and it was a fun location for a short getaway from the business of Bangkok.
Green surprise of urbanised Bangkok”
The stay at Bangkok Treehouse was as the photos depicted. It was close to nature and away from the city of downtown Bangkok. The arrival was via a speedboat. The pier was easy to get to if you have some form of GPS or smart devices with you. The hotel staff have a good command of english and will be able to help you if you are unable to find your way to the pier. Upon arrival, check in was swift and staff were ever so friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated and have two outdoor showers. There's no doors here for the toilets so either come with your love ones or someone who doesn't mind you taking a poo. 3 levels to this accommodation. Level one you get the toilet and bathroom, level two is the bedroom and level three is the sundeck. Pictures are pretty accurate and depicts what you will expect there. The other positive is the food served by the restaurant. It's a mix of local flavour with the plating of fine dining. Flavour is great and suitable for all palates. Downside, limited selection. When there's a few orders ahead of you, be prepared to wait a little longer. Another negative, the unsightly disposal of garbage all around the area. I guess it's a constant fight to make the place clean but without education or a cultural change, be expecting this on your visit. However, it doesn't smell much so that's okay. It being in "nature" come with the expectation of being around insects and small animals. You can use the bikes provided by the hotel and cycle around the area and visit the local floating market plus other sites in the proximity. Would definitely be back in the near future.
Different”
Spent the night at the Bangkok Tree House for anniversary. Great location amongst Bang Kachao. Had a bit of a wait for our room, but once we went to our room was good. Was very chilled, and not too busy, so were able to relax. The rooms/facilities need to be renovated as visible signs of wear, but apart from that very pretty and green.
Unique experience at Bangkok for in city break”
We stayed at Bangkok Tree House as a weekend break from our own home, in Bangkok. It is a unique experience in a large rural enclave in the city that is rarely visited by tourists, and offers quiet roads and bicycle paths, a local and authentic Thai weekend market, and boat trips on the river. It is not particularly convenient for visiting central Bangkok attractions as a river crossing, taxi and BTS journey is required. However, it makes a great getaway within the city, or for a change during a longer stay. The hotel is nicely designed with unique "nests" and touches like in room films, though common areas could benefit from some minor maintenance. The surrounding area is great to explore on bicycle for a day.
Awesome place, fantastic people - bliss”
SO different to anywhere else in Bangkok - loved. Located in the 'green lung' of Bangkok makes this accomodation a great place to come back to after a day in the bustling city. The room designs are quirky, beds comfy but the showers are pure heaven. Stargazing on the roof to deck with the longtail boats motoring in the background is a great way to spend the night time hours. Unfortunately the pool is not available at the moment which was a little disapointing but the air conditioning makes up for it.
Lovely and relaxing start to our stay”
Amazing hosting by the staff at Bangkok treehouse. After our long flight to the city we were impressed by the three floor room we were provided with. Jet lagged, we didn't mind lying in until late morning as out room was so relaxing. Once we immersed, Joey (the owner) helped us plan our afternoon in Bangkok - giving us advice in the best things to see and places to eat! Staff we're so helpful and attentive. Wish we could have stayed longer. Completely recommend it!
Eco-friendly hotel, great service !”
Bangkok Tree House might be far away from city center but we have a great time staying there. Great tropical atmosphere where you can't get it in the city.
Bold and admirable effort”
bangkok treehouse is the most innovative hotel we have ever stayed at. the design and the details are revolutionary. the staff works really hard, the food is delicious and staying in a natural green area in bangkok is a rare treat. joey, the owner, makes an extra effort to be helpful and create a memorable experience. the cons are mostly related to the hotel's fairly recent opening. the staffing can be thin at time if you are expecting a full-on hotel. technically, this is a home stay. the stairs in the units are cool but would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. the location is a bit isolated if you want easy proximity to the city. the tragedy of bangkok's pollution is sadly highlighted in this natural location where the garbage is everywhere spoiling what could be an incredible natural preserve. but staying here is a unique adventure that you will really enjoy telling to friends and family.
