Wedding Stay”
Locaiton, rooms, Staff
We stayed here during our Wedding in Do Son, all our Guest stayed here as well. Staff was very nice and helpful. We had an awesome party in a great location (Hill top surrounded by the sea) within an historic setting (Lobby is the reception area of the former King). Must stay when in Do Son

My 8 day stay”
location, view, internet speed
Staff, esp the girls very friendly and accommodating. They kept me stocked with free drinking water all week by leaving a case in the room. Addendum: I should have known better – they charged me 300,000 for the water I drank all week as I checked out. Left a sour taste in my mouth. Analogy would be someone buying drinks for you and at the end of the night asks you to pay… I was surprised no safety boxes as advertised. My computer and valuables could not be secured. The hotel is somewhat of a historic site, so there are groups of tourists coming in after 8 am and milling around the grounds and getting a tour with a hotel guide explaining things loudly through a microphone. Tourists were allowed to view the guest room floor, and with kids running around and people knocking on my door for no good reason, it became a daily annoyance. The bathroom floor flooded after my bath since the drainage would back up and the drain was adjacent to the tub. The mattress is quite stiff for a western back. The cable TV was okay, but many channels were “fuzzy” esp. the ones I wanted to watch: NHK, Nat Geo, for example. I was taken aback when I asked the manager if I could get a late check out and he bluntly replied “NO.” When some of the girls checked into it, they quoted 500,000 for 3 hours…no thanks. Nice customer treatment after an 8 day stay. A nice tea set is provided, but no appliance to heat water or tea bags – more for show I guess. The floors are hardwood, which is nice, but you can hear the guests walking heavily in the hallway. This morning, kids were running around and talking loudly in the hallway. Not a nice way to be woken up. The interior walls need fresh paint badly, esp. in the dining room. The guestroom hallway has no ventilation and with the sun beating on the roof, it is like an oven. A couple fans to get air moving would solve the problem. There is no ATM, no poolside bar (No pool!), no hot tub, no solarium and no table t

Piece of Vietnamese history”
Close to the beach, amazing view, beautiful garden
Really enjoyed our stay at the Bao Dai Villa, we decided to stay here after reading that it used to be a summer villa of the last emperor of Vietnam. Our room had a view of the ocean and we could enjoy the sea breeze by opening the windows. We did not eat at the hotel, since there are many great restaurants on the Do Son beach strip. The staff is very friendly and professional, they made sure we were comfortable and happy. Do Son beach can be rather noisy, but because this hotel is on top of the hill we were not disturbed by the karaoke or bar music. This place is ideal for people who want to experience real Vietnamese culture.

Week end à Do Son”
Emplacement superbe sur une petite colline. Personnel sympathique.
