Great Resortel but a few niggles”
the baramee resortel lived up to the on-line photographs. my friend and i stayed in a twin room which was very spacious and our friends in the next room were in a double room also with ample space. both rooms had balconies with a small drying rack, table and two chairs. bathrooms had no weird or wonderful plumbing quirks which is fairly unusual in asia. the pool and surrounding area was a sanctuary from the, at times, oppressive heat. staff in the dining room where an extensive smorgasbord breakfast was served were a delight. attentive and friendly, one even took the trouble to learn all our names including surnames. we were also happy that the resortel was at the quieter end of patong beach but a relatively easy walk to the main shopping area or a quick tuk tuk ride away. the resortel also had a shuttle bus which we were able to use a couple of times. unfortunately there is a negative side: the "front of house" staff seemed generally a little disinterested which was very clear when i tried to use one of the two computers available in reception for accessing the internet. one had to pay for this which seems out of step with current practices even in considerably cheaper hotels. however, i could not gain access to the internet and nor could the staff on duty. not surprisingly, one never saw a guest at these computers. i also wanted to make a local telephone call which according to the hotel handbook in my room i should be able to do. however i was told the telephones were only for internal use! so, if you are prepared for these brickbats then the resortel is a comfortable stay in the quieter end of a busy holiday destination.

Nice vacation with Baramee Resortel”
We spent 10 nice days in Patong, at Baramee Resortel. It's a budget hotel with good hosting facilities. The group had 3 superior rooms. We asked for quiet rooms, in the back, and the hotel staff fulfilled our requirement. The only thing to keep in mind is the fact that the last room on every level points out to an abandoned building and a backyard, and there are mosquitoes because of the vegetation. The rooms were pretty big, clean and with comfortable beds. Two out of the three rooms could use some improvements because the furniture and the TV are old, and the curtains could use a cleaning. Let's say that the pictures with the superior room doesn't fit for all the rooms in this category. The beach is very close, and there are many restaurants and markets in the area. We felt safe all the time. Bangla Road is 30 minutes away from the hotel, so it's easy to reach. Breakfast is the same every day, and for Europeans it's not what one would imagine. There are eggs, toast, pork ham kept in hot water (no idea why), a plain yogurt and fruits. The rest is food that we would eat later in the day, like rice, chicken stew, potatoes etc. Coffee is ok. Overall, Baramee Resortel is a good budget hotel, and I recommend it for people who don't want or can't pay for a Novotel.

Great place which brightens your every day”
i chose this hotel due to its close proximity to the beach.. although it is quite far (30min on foot or 5min on vehicle) from the bustling area (aka bangla street), it gives me the peace to enjoy my trip. even walking to n fro from the bustling shopping area is enjoyable as i get to explore more shops n dining places.. the room is also very clean n big.. all the staff there are friendly n prompt to see to your queries n requests.. overall, it is a wonderful stay at baramee resortel..

A must stay at Baramee”
We were very pleased with our hotel. it was located just 5 min away from the main patong beach and bangla road. The hotel itself was of a very good standard and definitely value for money. The hotel staff was very accommodating to our needs. Overall, it was a good experience with Baramee Resortel.

My second time here at Baramee! Simply fantastic!”
This is my 2nd time staying with Baramee Resortel. They never fail to shower you with their kind and friendly attitude. Brought a girlfriend with me during our trip to Phuket and it was her first time staying at this hotel. She too felt is great value with superb comfort! We will definitely come back again!

Awesome swimming pool & great location”
the reception was a bit unfriendly upon knowing us as asians but provided better service for caucasions. it is a bit discriminating but never mind. overall, the hotel is great with the swimming pool facility, lots of tv channels in the room and the bellman are helpful. it will be wiser to ride the rented motorbike to go around patong rather than to take a ride on a tuk-tuk. there is a lot of muslim food seller by the roadside and mosque to perform prayers. the room we had was on the first floor facing with no view and we were not being accomodated neither with early check in or late check out upon request. the front desk who check us in is pretty alright eventhough she has a sulky face. overall experience at baramee is nice and we will visit phuket again but with a different hotel perhaps.

Complete relaxing trip~”
This is my 2nd trip to Phuket and my 2nd stay at Baramee. Surrounding is really quiet and peaceful no matter during day or night. Though hotel not very advance but I simply don't need high tech hotel to get the same kinda comfy. Got bed, got sofa and balcony~ really good enough for me to relax myself! Love it very much

Very helpful staff, always smiles and assists”
it is just 5 minutes or even less to the beach. it is peaceful over there unlike in patong beach which is more crowded. not so near to jungceylon but walking from baramee to the mall is quite fun. you can see a lot of cheap shops rather than those nearby the mall. (always bargain). there are also lots of street foods while you walk you would really love to try. (i really cant resist their thai iced coffee) the drying rack on the terrace really helps. good space for the bathroom too. room is just nice and quite clean. 24 hrs concierg and they are really warm and friendly. they almost have everything. except for the wifi, paid separately and needs to log in and log out.

50m to Sea Shore”
Baramee Resortel is basically nice and tidy. There are only 4 twin bedrooms in this 4-floor hotel. The rest are all double-bed rooms. So you must make sure the room type you booked before you check-in, if you want bedroom with 2 beds. Breakfast is good, including salads, fried meats and vegetables, fried rice, pasty and bakery, as well as fresh fruits... FamliyMart and SevenEleven convenience shops are opposite to the hotel. Shopping/Dining is recomended to Juncceylon Shopping Mall, or Shopping Paradise near Marriott Hotel, 200BHT one way by Tuk Tuk.

Great location and brilliant staff ”
the baramee hotel has an ideal location just a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and night life but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. the rooms are very clean and modern. the staff are very friendly and will help you however they can (they made us a breakfast box for our journey to the airport). we ended up staying here another four night because we enjoyed it so much.

great place to take it easy”
Baramee is within 100 mtrs of the quiet end of Patong beach. It has a Great reception area and very friendly staff. Rooms are very nice and has cable. The best part was the swimming pool as it was quiet when I was there. Great place to relax and have a few beers or cocktales. Baramee is about 15min walk or 2 min on a bike from the busy bangla rd party strip. Its perfectly positioned if you need to escape

It's decent depending on what you plan to do or where you plan to go in Patong”
Location worked out well for me and my group. This hotel was situated between my friend's party villa in the hills of Kathu and Bangla Rd/Jungceylon shopping centre. There are cheaper hotels that provide the same value for money, so it's not exactly the best option in Patong, but it worked out well for my travel agenda. It's a close enough walk to one end of Patong Beach, and there is a currency conversion, laundrymat and Family Mart (7/11 like retail outlet) right outside the hotel. One thing to note is that this hotel is sorta close to a Mosque. If you happen to be up in the early hours of the morning and you are trying to sleep, you may possibly hear the prayers in the Mosque being blasted out of a loudspeaker. Also, it's probably best to get a room at the back of the hotel on the highest floor possible as the hotel sits on a main road. Staff were quite friendly and accommodating.

Perfectly located, great service & rooms”
I stayed here with friends. Baramee is well located & service was great. The well thought of shuttle to jungceylon also proved helpful as we were a bunch of girls. The lovely beach is just a few metres away & so is the shopping area. We stayed there for 2 nights & still feel we need to go back to do justice to the place as we did not enjoy the spa & pool there. One feedback would be for the burners to work on the buffet spread as bfast was not all so hot by the time we got there.,

A nice stay at Baramee Resortel”
Baramee Resortel can be considered a good budget hotel. We spent 9 nights there, and we were satisfied with what they have to offer for the money that we paid. It's main advantage is the short distance to the sea, around 5 minutes of walking. Around the hotel one can find markets, travel agency with all kind of trips and nice restaurants. We bargained for 2 trips to the islands, for 5 people, and bought them with 50% discount from the agency across the street. The pool is not big, but at the same time it's not busy so there is enough space for everybody. The area is safe and Bangla Rd is 30 minutes walking dist. The hotel's rooms could use some renovation. The furniture is old and not all the rooms have a safe box. As others mentioned before me, breakfast is very light and unusual (ham in hot water) for a European. It offers the same things every day, but some of the food is more suitable for lunch (rice with butter, soup, grilled chicken pieces). Coffee is good and tee is also served.

Baramee Resortel an inexpensive alternative ”
A cosy hotel but definately not a resort and by no means a 4 star hotel! I just mention it because for me this was the main reason to choose this hotel over others in the main area and the hotel classification is deceiving. Baramee offers the basic hotel comfort but the first impression was not a very good one. What makes thiw hotel special is its staff. Very friendly and helpful and even tries to communicate in english in every possible way! The staff is the reason why I would stay again in this hotel. The location is not perfect. Although it is far from the busy part of Patong, it is not directly at the beach. The hotel does not even have its own beach sunbeds but it is no problem as there are a lot of alternatives in the main Patong beach, which is just a 10 minutes pleasant walk away. So, if you search for a cosy inexpensive alternative Baramee is your hotel. If however you are looking for a lux hotel, look further.

Nothing to shout about, but its not too bad...”
We were suppose to stay there for 4 nights. It was our first time in Phuket and upon our arrival we had already heard of quite a few bad reviews of the hotel. However, it wasnt as bad as some has put it. The staff were quite friendly. I think its more the language barrier but if you are polite they do actually listen. So happen when we got there their pool were under renovation and seeing that we had children with us, it wasnt great news. However, upon our request to change to their sister hotel Baramee Hip, they were nice to transfer us there and even arrange us transport (It was on time too) For a 3 star (Some people may say its not even 3 star) honestly the service isnt very shabby as it seems. If youre not a fussy person this hotel is quite nice to stay in. I sure after the renovation of the pool it should be even better. Overall the stay was alright, it was close to Patong beach. A bit off from Bangla road and Jungceylon but a tuk tuk ride makes it all good. Food and familymart were very near by.

Value for money”
stayed at baramee for 3 nights and we had a pleasant stay. It is very near to patong beach, many food outlets near by and free shuttle services to the city. Welcoming and friendly staff, had no issue with anything. If anything to improve, than its breakfast menu. Very limited choices. Overall, its a value for money, go for it :)
