Location, location, location!”
This hotel is central to most of the main attractions. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend.
Room302 extremely small not as shown on website”
Very disappointed in room ,was not as advertised in fact we felt very claustrophobic ,we asked to change but we were refused ,and as we booked far in advance ,this was very unfair .For this reason we would not recommend this hotel
Great location and very friendly staff”
This is a small hotel located in the centre of Rome, 10 minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain in one direction and the Spanish Steps in the other. The Metro station is 200m away giving quick and cheap links to places like the Colosseum and the Vatican City. The room was nice (if a bit small) and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our 5 day stay.
Authentic hotel in Rome”
My adult daughter was finishing up her semester abroad so I met her in Rome and we stayed at the Barberini. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but they had a nice size bathroom and were very clean. The location was good as it was within walking distance to several tourist attractions and shopping. We liked the small size of the hotel and it was quiet. The rooftop bar was not what I had expected. It was a permanently enclosed dining room area where breakfast was served. The view was nice, but I was expecting any outdoor, open air type of situation. Overall we enjoyed our stay and felt it was a good value!
Rooms are small, even by European standards. The room we were in had persistent cell phone and wi if signal issues. Staff at the roof top restraunt were a highlight together with the hotels location; a short taxi ride from Termini train station and walking distance from Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, the Pantheon, via Vinito and Plazzas Navono and Papolo.
Old hotel with a good breakfast in a great area”
The service was hit and miss and the fan was really noisy. But the breakfast was good and the washroom is large. The best part about this hotel is the location. I find the costs a bit steep. If this hotel was cheaper, I would be a lot more satisfied.
Good location and service”
The room was small, but the bathroom was larger than we expected, with a full-sized shower. The staff was professional and very helpful. The area's restaurants and snack bars were OK, but not spectacular. Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps are a short walk away. Overall, good location and above-average hotel.
Great service and location!”
When I arrived on the day I was to check-in I was told that they were overbooked for that night. After a brief moment of panic, they informed me that they already had arranged a room for me at a hotel across the street which was also a 4-star. I was taken to the other hotel and checked-in without incident. I was very pleased with how they handled everything. The next day I returned to the Barberini Hotel and checked-in. I've stayed in a number of hotels in Italy and never had the greatest experiences but this room was lovely. It was small but so are most rooms in Italy, bathroom was clean and a decent size. My one issue with the room was the shower was a little on the dark size and not upgraded as the rest of the room. Breakfast was good, with a view of St. Peter's Basilica. Location was perfect, able to walk everywhere I wanted to go, just down the street from the Spanish Steps and quick walk to the Trevi Fountain.
A hotel that fits my needs”
Pros: - Very close to Piazza Barberini - Walking distance to Fontana di Trevi and Spanish Steps. But I could say, Rome is very walkable. Of course, you could use the public transportation to get around - The room was ready when I checked in at 10. - Staff was helpful. Cons: - I was given a single bed probably because I specified only 1 adult in my booking. But it still worked out for me because I only stayed in room for sleeping in and change. Misc: - You may want to take note that even though you'd be checking out on a particular day but haven't done so yet, the cleaning staff would still come to your room and get it ready for the next person(s). I was surprised to see the room being cleaned when I got back from walking around. Of course, your stuff is being handled properly. Poor her, she had to re-do the room because I still had to use the bathroom :)
Gutes Hotel in zentraler Lage!”
Hotel liegt zentral, Trevi Brunnen und Spanische Treppe zu Fuss in 5 minuten erreichbar, Zimmer sauber, Frühstück reichhaltig, guter Umfang (Säfte, Obst, Kuchen, Käse, Schinken, Joghurt), Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit
hotel grazioso e in posizione centrale”
