"This hotel is my favorite. I like the design, the staff is very good, the bed is the best i know so far. We book this hotel every year, because we like barcelona and especialy we love this hotel so much. The location, the rooms, the staff, the food, the room service, the breakfast, the coffee, everything we love in this hotel. The Hotel is not cheap, but compared to other famous cities it is very cheap, and it´s an 5 Star hotel. the Breakfast could be cheaper, but we love it, and the selction is great and premium quality (you get also excellent ham or hearty dishes, etc.) The best of this hotel is the excellent bed. We think about to buy such a bed because it´s so fantastic. You will also love the excellent amenities in the bathroom, SPLISS-SPA products from Canada."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ciutadella Barcelona. A nice cozy hotel, very helpful and kind staff, just a 15 minute walk to the Barceloneta beach, possible to walk to the very center (just stay in the shade, there is plenty). Air conditioning worked great, just be sure to close the windows. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many nice cafes with outside seating just across the street. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff are terrific. They cleaned the room at our request while we went out to have breakfast not to disturb us afterwards. One thing to watch out for is room selection. When we arrived we were offered two options - a room looking inwards and another small room with windows facing the street, but very small and dark. Then once a corner room (terrific, two big windows facing both the main street and the side street and two small balconies, nice room layout and plenty of space) was free, we were moved there. Made a huge difference in our stay and experience. Once again, very helpful staff. And the hotel is fully booked, so not always easy to get the best room. We will stay here again for sure and will recommend to friends."

"I would have to say that this is one of the top 5 hotels I have stayed at in my life. Of course, I am not a big spender or anything but I've stayed at 4/5 star hotels in other countries at a simliar price range and this hotel was much better. First, its location in proximity to the beach at Barceloneta/Port Olimpic was unbeatable. Second, the staff knew it was our honeymoon and sent us a complimentary bottle of champagne with a note. It was a very nice touch. Third, the staff was very friendly and spoke English very well, which is always important for me. Fourth, the location of this hotel was very good because it was close to La Ramblas but also the Port Vuell and other attractions such as the MareMagnum mall. Last, but not least, the rooms were clean, spacious and meticulously kept. My wife seconds my opinion when we say that if we ever come back to Barcelona, it will be at the Pullman Skipper hotel. Thank you!"

"Many thanks for great staff team! All speaking English. Answers on every questions. New hotel. Very good location: 10 min walking from Ramblas, close many good not expensive restaurants, city tour bus - 2 min., lift of metro Barceloneta - 2 min. Promenade - 3 min. Quiet location. Big modern TV with great number of channels and HDMI input. Fast WiFi. Just one thing to pay attention - door to toilet is transparent. "

"Although our reservation was for Hotel Del Mar originally due to a reservations mistake we were booked to another hotel of the group-the Ciutadella Hotel- which was located less than 100m from there....so my comments will be for the hotel that we stayed. Since we had our own scedule we did not use the hotel's facilities so i can't make an opinion about them. Other than that our stay was excellent, the hotel offered us breakfast during our stay which wasn't included in our original reservation and both hotels location is great, almost next to the metro and buses and 10 minutes walk from barceloneta. The personnel was great and very helpful the room was very comfortable and daily cleaned and refreshed. It was also very well situated for night activities since the old town was just across the street. In overall we can say that Barcelona was a wonderful city certainly worth visiting and the hotel just made our visit even more enjoyable so we would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Simple basic rooms with a/c and clean bathrooms. Great location. Close to old town and 15-20 minute walk to the beach. Also 5 minutes walk to Barceloneta metro. Poor selection and poor quality breakfast so would recommend eating near the beach or at cafes in old town which is much nicer. The hotel can be noisy with other residents. Best to book early to ensure a cheap stay otherwise prices go up quickly and may therefore not be value for money. "

"Great value for money. You know how low/mid-range European hotels/accommodations are: very tight and small (if you're used to American standards). Even the elevator (lift) carries only 2 people, or 1 person and luggage. But if it works for them, it should work for us tourists! Of all the places we went to on this trip, Barcelona was the most memorable, and the hotel was a good part of the reason why."
