The location is spectacular- a short stroll through a tropical forest meets you with the loveliest white sand beach.

We had many relaxed days there and there is a more shade than on the main beach- the sun is very intense!

Indescribable paradise!!”
This place should definitely be on everyone’s must-see lists, and I pray that tourists keep treating it with care and respect the wild nature around it! The resort is located at the best part of Radhanagar beach, and I have never seen such a beautiful beach before - with the water so clear and the sand so white and soft, perfect for swimmers throughout all day. The view fascinated me: you look right, you look left, and all you can see is the gorgeous beach, magnificent tall trees behind you and azure waves in front of you. And barely any people:) We would spend all day in the water, and then - all the amenities you need are there by just a one minute walk through the jungle. So don’t be scared you’d feel lonely or unsafe here - the other way round, you’ll feel comfortable and looked after all the time. The service is great here! Many thanks to the hospitable manager of the hotel who made our stay special and provided us with a lot of interesting information about the endemic flora and fauna of the Andaman and Nicobar islands, as well as about the local tribes. The wi-fi at the reception is faster than anywhere else on Havelock, I think:) The restaurant serves true delicacies. Breakfast is splendid: though it is not a buffet, you can order anything you like, and it is included. Thanks to Prathima who has always been friendly and recommended us a dish called daab chingri which is prawns in cream sauce in a coconut - a must-try! We appreciated the eco-friendly approach of this resort. Their credo is to coexist organically with the other inhabitants of the forest and to minimise the damage of the civilisation to the wildlife. The tented villa we stayed at was perfectly comfortable and spacious enough for three of us, and we loved the atmosphere! We had plenty of drinking water provided, there was a good AC, a fridge, a safe, a nice kettle with teas and coffees, as well as shampoos, beach towels and mats etc. We didn’t use the mosquito net since we haven’t seen any mos
A beautiful place to stay”
A real and genuine escape from the busy streets of India. The whole place has been thought trough to the last detail to offer relaxation. The staff are extremely attentionate, very helpful and beautifully welcoming. It was a real joy to visit Barefoot in late February. Our Cottage Villa was burried in the middle of the jungle, serviced regularly, and contained everything we needed. A very short walk every morning to the peaceful breakfast area. The food on offer was nicely varied and of great quality (especially the Havelock fresh fish platter). We booked a massage which was equally relaxing. And the whole experience is enriched by being a 2 minute walk to the stunning Radhanagar Beach No7. Highly recommended for a luxury escape to this beautiful island.
Beautiful jungle resort”
We had a wonderful stay at Barefoot. First we were welcomed with fresh coconut water. The staff were very prompt in moving our luggage to our Nicobari Cottage. The cottage itself was very spacious with an outside porch and attached bathroom. Hot water kettle, local bakery cookies, mini fridge with some candy bars (surcharge) and coffee/tea packets were provided. The only thing we had problem with was the bathroom. There was a window provided for ventilation, however due to the lack of an actual fan and vent, the air was mostly trapped inside, which made it kind of less ventilated and stuffy. The flush did not work well, and we had to call the staff every morning to unclog the drain. This was our only issue during our stay. The staff were very helpful and prompt in attending to our request, which helped. Hot water in the bathroom is available 24/7. The property has its own access to the beautiful Radhanagar beach. They provide mats and beach towels every time you visit the beach. And you are also given your own flashlight to navigate through the resort after sunset, as there is no electrical lighting on the walkways. You can make appointments to get a massage or body scrub at their spa, make sure to book a day or two in advance as they fill up quickly. Their restaurant “flying elephant” served amazing food at every meal we had. Everything was made to order and it really tasted like they use freshest ingredients. The complimentary breakfast that’s included with the stay is one of the best. They’ve a pre set menu which changes everyday (dosa/idly/paratha, etc) and the usual continental breakfast items. You can order as many items as you want. I’ve to really appreciate the service here and how dedicated the staff are. Truly the best place to stay in Havelock!
Rain, rain... stay”
It rained throughout our stay in Havelock. Luckily for us we were Barefoot. Forest, beach, bar... didn't feel the need to get out at all! And an amazingly friendly staff.
Wonderful place”
Wonderful place to spend a honeymoon in Havelock. Staff always attentive. Food diverse and tasty. Location is remote but it adds to the experience. We will hopefully go back in the future.
Nature resort near a gorgeous beach”
The resort is near a beautiful beach 5 minutes away through the woods that line up the entire beach. Accommodation are either cottage style not too far from the bar / reception and restaurant but the tented ones where we stayed are further inland , seems they have been added later on and require to walk for a bit on a dirt road without lights at night (they gave us complimentary nice little flash light) Not really barefoot except when entering the bar or restaurant Tent are really nice and confortable with a huge bathroom and aircon Restaurant is nice but the food is not cheap and hit and miss in terms of quality and plate size. The staff is lovely and friendly but not very helpful when trying to organise anything outside the hotel. It is quite isolated , no village Within walking distance. They give beach towels and mats for the beach . Local people all stay together near the beach entrance further left so the beach in front of the hotel is really quiet. Customers are mostly Indian families and groups. The beach is clean with nice sand and the water is clear and really warm (30degres in April) but the waves are a bit strong so swimming is not safe for small children I guess. NB No more alcool offered as the island has been declared "dry" beginning of April but the bar may still have a few bottles left
Exceptional”
The location is perfect, if you want to be next to the only amazing beach in the island (I must stress that the beach is awesome: warm, transparent and fairly calm waters, extremely clean, soft sand and secluded). The staff was very helpful, they even helped us book our ferry tickets. Take advantage of their transport service to/from the jetty. The breakfast is generous, and the meals are decent as well as fairly priced; best to go for the daily recommendations and the fish. The tents are not as nice as the villas or the cottages, ironically because of their large size (they lack the cozy feeling). A bit can be done on the landscape surrounding the villas. And you will have to walk a bit, on a dirt road, if you go from the tents to the main hall/diner/beach. Just remember to bring plenty of books/games since there's no wi-fi, TV or any amenities (unless your intention is to be isolated from the world; there is not much else to do here besides eating, drinking and the beach.
Exceptional”
We loved Barefoot, it was just beautiful. If there was one thing I would recommend would be some shade on the beach. A few thatched umbrellas maybe, keeping with the theme. Just too hot to spend any length of time there without getting “cooked” otherwise perfect
Excellent Resort if you want to have a true jungle experience”
I stayed with family of 2 young children, the place is very close to the radha nagar beach which is a stone's throwaway from the reception. The resort in itself is a great experience for nature lovers, as it provides true serenity. There is no internet connection, TV or even Intercom in the tents and cottages, so you are complety disconnected from the modern world. the place is quite safe for kids also as my children loved it. The only negative aspect is the prices at the restaurant which is the only option available there, unless you want to go out at night(which might also be expensive)
Excellent experience”
Loved the perfect beach resort.Five stars to every one at Barefoot.
Awesome Stay at Barefoot”
This was one of the best stays I had, where-in I was completely cut-off from the outside world. Location of this resort is fantastic, right on Radhanagar beach. But approach road is bad and getting there from the Jetty takes some bumpy rides. Resort seems to be a very well thought out theme and its cottages and villas are just awesome. You can see birds roaming around the entire property and is very well maintained. Staff was very courteous and always happy to help. There is not much facilities like children play area or swimming pool, but who needs one when you have one of the best beaches in Asia, right next to your cottage/villa. Food was really tasty and never thought of grabbing some chips/biscuits, because just imagine going out at-least a couple of kilometers to get the stuff would be hard to imagine.
Wedding anniversary getaway ”
The resort is nice and the beach is beautiful and idyllic. However the service could be better. For example, we arrived there on our wedding anniversary and when asked if there was an occasion, I mentioned it was was anniversary.but they did not bother to do anything special during the dinner or in our room. The staff was also lacking in providing information on sightseeing options in the island. I would also say, the resort could offer some nature walks and yoga sessions to its guests.
Paradise”
The location is unique, in the best beach of Asia rated by the New York Times. The huts, jungle cabins, are great. The service is excellent and the food is out of this world. One of the highlights of our trip to India was this Hotel. Totally Recommendable.
A lovely place to relax for a few days ”
Lovely beach and wondeful staff. You feel safe and cared for all the time. Unfortunately everything is far away and one needs a taxi to go anywhere. The staff was wonderful and helped me to organize my kayak escursion. The restaurant is a bit expensive if you have to eat all meals there, and the food is sometimes excellent and other times just good.
Top class service. ”
Resort and other staff went above and beyond to help us during cyclone evacuation. Excellent service and Indian food. Great location. I strongly recommend this place. Please use their transportation service as it would help a lot to reduce travel time.
Exceptional”
It was a different experience staying in the cottage & tent, with no TV, Wi-Fi etc. Which was good. The location was just fabulous right on Radhanagar white sand beach. Staff was very helpful and their food throughout was exceptional.
Beautiful holiday”
Wonderful hospitality, great food pristine beach, unspoilt and clean. Very friendly staff, went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and special. Loved the whole place and would definitely go again
