Amboy is home away from home”
My family and I loved our stay! It is a bit far from the town center of Basco, but my mother requested for a place near the beach that offers buffet breakfast, so we booked Amboy Hometel. We didn't bother with the distance. Amboy is located in a quiet side of town (although the whole of Batanes is quiet compared to where we are from) near an elementary school and a few other lodging places like it. My brothers and I were able to walk around 20 minutes to the town center and we enjoyed the scenery along the way. The food was in the restaurant was good--less MSG and artificial seasoning, which characterizes most of the food in Batanes. It's good for the health and a way to let the digestive system rest. They also have a backyard vegetable garden, which my parents loved. We initially booked a family room, but got upgraded to two rooms near the beach because of renovation works. Staff are courteous and friendly, not a surpise as Ivatans are well-known for their warmth.

Book at Agoda to get discounts! It’s expensive to book directly but here on agoda they give discounts 👍🏻 + place is not in the middle of town but is in the middle of the island so pickup is easy for North or South tour + very quiet and serene, beach front + big clean rooms, lots of hangers in closet + very nice bathrooms with bidet, complete toiletries and hotel slippers + kind staff, easy to talk to, very accommodating + they have board games at the tambayan areas + they sell paintings for local artists + you can buy food outside and have them cooked in the resto for a small fee + includes breakfast daily + free airport shuttle - there’s 200MB free wifi for 4days but it’s very slow, but that’s just the whole island i guess

Everything was perfect! It's in front of the beach, the room was very good and clean. The best part was the stuff, I loved so much it was female, good job! The food was great, the have an organic farm from where they take the vegetables, I love it!

Beach front, great breakfast”
We really loved amboys not only because of its location but also the hospitality that the staff showed us. Amboys location is beautiful since across it is a beach front. Might be to cold to swim but you get to have a marvellous view with just a few steps away. There’s free breakfast every morning served at 5am. They serve such delicious breakfast. Very satisfying. Thank you amboy staff for such a pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend this. EVERYONE, book this place for your trip to Batanes

Homey with mini garden”
Great stay in this hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful and customer service is smooth. Location is a bit far from town proper but overlooking the sea with a beautiful sunset view, plus it's a trike away if you want to explore the town proper. My mom enjoyed her stay since the place has a mini garden. Will recommend this.

Giving 5 stars for the cleanliness and for the ambiance. So relaxing. The facade is so relaxing with the combination of green, red, peach. Indeed you’ll going to have an enjoyable stay in Batanes if you will be lodging in Amboy. Food is great. Staff are very attentive and courteous. Wifi connection is a bit challenging but we managed. Beachfront is a plus. Waking up with a sea breeze. Indeed a wonderful stay! Definitely will recommend this hometel!

The room is really clean as well as the t&b. Nice smelling too. It has a garden with a number of shaded benches to relax in. There is a restaurant in the property. The staff and owners are kind and approachable. They can get a tour guide for you. A beach is right across the street. Internet signal is quite weak in their area.

Highly recommend this hometel”
We arrive the hotek at 8am and requested for an early check in since our tour would start at around 12 noon and we are feeling tired since we woke up early that morning. Our room was not yet ready since hotel guest are still staying there, so the staff gave us another vacant room si we can rest. I truly appreciate it. Breakfast is also very good special,y their tapa. One time we ask for a tricycle but nobody is answering, so they asked one of their staff to bring us and pick us up after instead.

Beautifully appointed small hotel a few kilometers from Basco. Very clean, amazing food and super friendly and helpful staff. Only minus is the lack of free WiFi, and phone reception is spotty as well. If you want to disconnect though - perfect. 😉

I left my jacket in their hotel, and when I called, they sent thru courier free of charge :) Staffs are excellent, place is spotless, there's places where you could just sit and drink and chat with your friends. Their wood furniture are to drool for!! Lovely place, plus their vegetable garden is to be admired.

The hotel serves very delicious breakfast. Our view from the hotel is very beautiful... the staff are very friendly though the hotel price is a bit pricey but it's fair 'coz hotel rates in batanes is a bit high also.

vacation in Batanes”
We stayed here 5 days and we enjoyed this place. It is located ca 3 km from the town proper. The staff call a tricycle and you will be fetched. We had the experience to walk to the town, because we walked and hoped a tricycle will be along the road and stop. But nothing, after 40 minutes we arrived the town proper. It was a good walk and we don't want to miss it. The tours of the hotel going around in Batanes by van were well organised, thank you. Batanes is a good place, quiet, less traffic and clean.

Comfortable and pleasant accommodation ”
Really nice little hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Really friendly staff and nice gardens. Only downfall is the shower pressure was a little weak, no bikes to rent, and no WiFi. To use the Internet I needed to go down the road with my phone for a decent signal. Overall a good place to stay for Batanes.

I love the set up; instead of flowers we’re edible VGs. that made it so beautiful. Garden lovers like me really appreciate the beauty of it. The food are too salty; make it a bit less saltier and let the individuals used the salt and pepper shaker.
