Good value for the money”
Batiqa has always been one of my choice hotels for short stay on business trips. Clean room, friendly staff, good location. Breakfast is mediocre. Perhaps because it was during fasting month. They maintain the hotel quite well. It helps to ask the hotel to make sure things such as AC, drainage, shower in your room, are in proper working condition.

Amazing hotel”
This hotel has a great location, located close to palembang business & culinary district. You can find couple of pempek store neat the hotel. Speaking of room quality, as a three star hotel, the room size is quite big and also clean. Speaking about the room price, they have 3 types of rooms with different price, the most affordable room is superior room, and the price is amazing, start from below rp400.000 or $30. So i would recommend this hotel for a business traveler such as me.

Good location, central of Palembang”
Bathroom needs to be improved, we have water trapped on bathroom floor which make it not convinient. Water draining hole is not located in the lowest part of the room floor.

Worth the price”
Hotel condition was worth the price. Not too expensive, but you'll get a clean room with comfy bed, cold Air Conditioner and clean bathroom. But the voice from outside street was too loud, even we stay at 7 floor. The breakfast was delicious, especially the Laksan, very-very genuine Palembang food with the rich flavor. Pempek Candy store just a 100 meters walking distance. And so the minimarket. Padang Resto exactly next to the hotel. The Staffs also polite and very friendly. Overall review for the hotel was good.

Nice Hotel but need to work on the staff”
Very comfortable hotel, modern and clean. My son and I stayed only 1 night for business. When I checked in at the front desk, nobody offer me welcome drink, but my son who sit at the hotel lobby got small glass of drink (I think it was hot ginger). So we shared the drink, but the front desk staff did not offer another glass for me. I asked whether we can order room service at night, the staff told me that the room service is open 24hour. But when I dial 4 (room service), no answer and when I call front desk, they ask me to keep trying to call the room service. Maybe hotel should find other solutions rather than ask guest to keep trying. So i'm quite disappointed. Luckily there are lots of good food around the hotel.

Short and Simple”
You get what you pay for. In a satelite city like palembang, i would expect less budget hotels. Therefore i would advice to invest a little more to get a decent stay. I was lucky to find this gem hotel amongst the other hotels. Hotel Batiqa is smaller but doesnt compromise in the room space and design. Upon stepping in the room. You experience a 5 stars resorts hotel. I was only disappointed they did not offer to exchange money for me as the entire city is closed for idul fitri celebrations. I had to ask people around city to help me. Luckily some young people in a nearby courier company offer to help. In room dining wasnt as good i expect it though. I was upgraded to a deluxe room which offered a fantastic sunset view everyday i stayed. Overall, i would recommend Batiqa if you visit Palembang for the Asian Games 2018.
