We stayed in the garden suite and it was beautiful! Great access to Byron alongside a wonderful private place to rest! Would definitely recommend and will return on our next visit!
Great location - walking distance to town”
We had a lovely stay in Byron and this place was ideal for location (only a 5 min walk away from the town centre). The place is located on the main road into the town but we didn’t hear any passing traffic and it seemed quite quiet. The photos perhaps do it a little more justice than reality. The room was comfortable and had all that we needed. The shared space looked great but was not kept very clean. I found an old cigarette packet under the bed and in the kitchen, the bin had a really bad smell and stuff had been left by previous guests in the fridge. The shelving was dusty so we just made sure we rinsed everything we used first. The shower was great and the reed diffusers were a lovely touch to give the place a pleasant scent. I would go back because it was such a great location but overpriced (maybe that was just the time of year being NYE!)
Hi there Katherine, Thanks so much for taking the time to review your stay. I have spoken with my cleaners about the issues you have brought up and will be ensuring that that does not occur again. Yes unfortunately as you can imagine, Byron Bay is in high season whilst over the holiday period and as such the rates are reflected in this. I do hope we are able to make up for the below expectation standards to you someday soon. Thanks so much again for your feedback Sally - Property manager
Clean and comfortable but noisy ”
From the description I presumed that the kitchen and outdoor area were for each room, but they are shared. I didn’t feel like I could use the kitchen to cook so as not to disturb the other room. If you’re looking for privacy, then choose somewhere else. Overall it was a good experience, clean, comfortable and simple but over priced.
Hi there Erin, I'm so sorry for the confusion in the shared space. It is stated on each of the superior room descriptions that this space is shared by two rooms. Might I suggest our Grand Suite which is a private one bedroom apartment for your next visit? You'll find it extremely spacious and well fitted out and you will have to space all to yourself. Thanks so much again for your feedback. Sally - Property manager
Perfect hidden gem!”
We had a wonderful stay at Bay Haven Lodge Guesthouse. We stayed in a Garden Suite and the room was perfection - modern with a touch of Byron. We cannot thank Jade enough for her hospitality and kindness. We booked our room very late in the evening and despite the time (midnight) Jade still went above and beyond for us. Do yourself and favour and book a room at this property if you are ever in Byron. You will love it!
Excellent accommodation and close to town, so clean and a beautiful room, Jade the manager is so welcoming and helpful, great place to stay! Thanks again
Room was perfect exceeded my expectations and jade was amazing the only thing I have to say is for the price you should be getting more facilities etc (no spa only found out when I was there you had to get the superior sweet and no kitchen) also had a problem with no hot water that last day but was no buggy enjoyed my stay overall
Small but beautiful and convenient”
Beautifully renovated guest house but a little small and we didnt have access to the back area where the pools and saunas were which is private.
Our bed was full of sand. Floors were dirty.

Super location in amazing Byron Bay ”
Less than 5 minutes walk to the town, basic and compact but everything you need for a short stay. Host was lovely To deal with and would definitely stay again
Very well located”
Small bathroom but very clean and tidy. Good location.
Not worth what you pay for”
Photos are quiet deceiving, particularly when it was advertised as half the usual price and you realise what you pay for is not worth it. Good location though

Very well situated, friendly & helpful owner. Stylish room, small but well arranged, no view.
My general experience with Bay Haven Lodge was that it was overpriced. The location is great, however, in comparison to what other hotels / guest houses had to offer, I was hugely disappointed. The room was small, including bathroom facilities (not a separate bathroom) and there was little privacy as the room faced onto a shared porch and the blinds did not sufficiently cover the window (dated). The television did not work and it was a disadvantage not having any onsite management for this reason. Although I was provided a modest reimbursement, a quiet night in was not an option. Other guests that night came to seek my help as an air conditioner was not working in their room and could not be fixed that night. I would not stay here again. Suggest that the owners decrease their prices.
Excellent location and amazing room. Good size, good price
Stay at bay haven”
Pretty shocking. Room very deceiving. For the price room very small. TV did not work properly. Air conditioner did not work at all after we paid for room with air con. They said they could not find remote which was quite appalling

Fantastic location and really friendly staff”
Friendly staff.. Close to fabulous restaurants and shops and beach!
Comfortable accommodation ”
I was out a lot so the accomondation for me was comfortable and clean I enjoyed my stay -it was improved and much better when I noiced the new fridge in hall way to people to use this was important in hot weather.
Convenient location and lovely room”
Cute well decorated room and as we had late check-in, it was convenient and quick to find the place and got ourselves in. The room is a little small in size with no windows but it wasn't any problem for us. It was nice and there were selection of tea bags with a little mini bar in the room too. We only stayed for a night but we didn't get to see any staff, or in fact, anyone at all in the place and it gave us the sense of privacy, which we appreciated.
Fantastic Location - Byron Bay!!”
tidy well kept lodge, room was a little small but we were really only in there when it was time for bed so was ideal for us. would stay again if we were to go back to byron.
