    Excellent Location ”
Very clean room, comfy bed, fridge, big bathroom, balcony with views, TV with heaps of English channels. The maid was friendly, front desk, I think owners was great, no problems checking in or out. Oh their dog, a real character, the place felt like home from home, I’ve stayed in lots of Guesthouses in Vientiane the Bayern is simply the best !! Look forward to staying again in the future.

Reasonable price as compare with room size and the room is clean, the location is very comfort to go anywhere, not far from Mae Khong River, night market and Srisaket Temple but the shower was broken before I checked in and I only got problem when taking shower..

    clean, good wifi, location
walking distance 15min from bus drop off at the museum [from Vang Vieng]. also able to walk to old temple at about 30min. if u need 'mummy' call 55444076, she can speak chinese, hotel rule is not allow for guest enter but 'nevermind'... there's a good bakery shop opposite, i tried the stir beef, it gives 'power'. the tv is too small, wardrobe look plastic & cheap, but overall is clean shining tiles. owner charge transport to airport is high, not agree with that price, not even allow to share with others, count per head. dont miss the pub- Khop chai deu, few streets away, a great atmosphere & unplug live band.

nice little place with friendly owners who are willinig to help and take care of their guests. Room is no frills but big with a big bed, clean, good aircon, working WIFI and a nice balcony. I will definitely be back if staying in Vientiane again.

    New room, staff, location.
I dont usually review my favourite places, to avoid them always being full. But this was such a nice friendly mid-ranger with all new appliances, tv, water heater, aircon etc, that for the Bayern Guesthouse I made an exception. Best value mid range hotel I have stayed in Vientiane (and I have stayed in loads).

Good location for price, clean room”
This hotel was alright. It has a good location and the hotel itself is very clean. When we arrived no one was around so we had to find someone to check us in, and the rest of our stay the staff just sat in the living room watching t.v. There were large gaps in our balcony door and no mosquito net so I woke up one night covered in mosquito bites on my arms. Not great.

Cheap, simple and clean. A good value.”
It's family run. Usually mom, baby and dog are hanging around in the lobby. The dog has a weird face and loves a good belly rub. Very cute. Some have commented that the owners are rude. I'd say they aren't particularly friendly and warm, but not rude. If you smile, she'll smile back. Minimal English skills sometimes makes people shy and seem rude. She helped teach me how to use the shower heater because I'm a moron and couldn't figure it out myself. Anyway, the room is basic and clean. They cleaned the room and replaced the 2 bottles of water every day while i was out. The AC works well. There is a shower curtain which is hard to find in Laos. That means the bathroom remains dry when you shower! The doors close at 11:30pm and you aren't allowed to bring home a "friend". So if you like to party, this might not be the place. Otherwise, it's a great little basic place to stay and you'll know it's gonna be clean.

This place is perfectly located for a one or two night stay in Vientiane. Lots of cafes and coffee shops nearby and just a short walk to the river. Our room was huge and the cleanest I've encountered in Asia. Would definitely recommend.

    Comfy bed”
The room is large and bed is comfortable. It is within walking distance to many of the city attractions. It is located on a busy road and we found the first floor balcony exposed to the dust and smog that is common to Vientiene. The wifi, A/C and TV worked well. The place felt clean and secure. Staff were fine but not particularly warm.

We always stay here on our trips to Vientiane. The rooms are spotlessly clean with good sized bathrooms, fan and air con. The staff are very pleasant and very kind. The location is central and the pizza place opposite does yummy pizza and surprisingly good meatballs!

    3 days in Vientiane”
One of the few places that does not include breakfast, but there is a very bake shop just across the street that has many good things for breakfast. There are also many street vendors available on a facing street. If you prefer a restaurant there are many just a short walk away. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

    Great place to stay”
Very friendly and helpful owners, although our agreement that the owner would take us to the airport in the morning at 6am was not met as he was still sleeping. So we had to take a tuktuk, no big deal. The location is good although a short walk from the centre. In the area are some minimarkets and a foodstall street which is nice. The room was really big and nice and cozy, and had lots of space to put our stuff. The bathroom was also exceptional for our experience in Laos (separate shower!). Not to mention the big balcony. Too bad that the WiFi wasn't working properly on the third floor, so that was a disappointment. And too bad they don't offer breakfast, although you get free instant coffe and tee at the reception.

    Good choice in Vientiane”
clean, not far from city center, seperate shower
The room and bathroom are spacious, there is a seperate shower (which is not common in Laos). It's basic, but there is a balcony and flatscreen TV. Everything is clean, so we felt comfortable. It's not far to walk to the city center (10-15 min), many restaurants are closeby. There is no breakfast included and they don't help with organizing transport etc.! Therefore it's a bit overprized, but compared to other places it's really worth the money.

Family run guest house near good street eats”
Big room, good value and near night market
A welcoming family run place with spacious rooms, little English spoken but very friendly. No breakfast but Swedish bakery across the street has good coffee etc, the night market on the adjacent street is excellent for Lao street food in the evenings, and the quiet neighbourhood has a few hidden gem cafes and bars. There's even a stadium where you can use the jogging track should you so wish, and the tourist quarter near the river is only about a ten minute walk. Good value.

    Price, Clean, Location
It's a basic, no-frills guesthouse. It's immaculately clean, the AC is great, and there was fridge in the room for keeping snacks and drinks. It's walking distance to the waterfront and downtown. It is on a bit of a busy street, so if you are a light sleeper, it might not be the best option, but the AC/fans drown out most of the sound and I slept no problem. If you are an independent traveler, this is a great option at a great price. I would stay again.

    Value, location, Staff
I checked in late, They left a key at the desk for me. The first night I stayed street side room which was a bit too noisey as I am a light sleeper. So the second night they switched me to a room on the back side. Much better. The rooms are very spacious and Aircon works great. My only complaint is the internet is unreliable. But this seems to be the norm with these types of guesthouses in Lao.

    Clean, big room, safety
We stayed for 2 nights, the location is really good, close to restaurants and tourist attractions. They gave us an even better room that the one we booked with balcony and an extra bed.The room was really big and fresh clean. Staff are very friendly but they can't speak in English, what doesn't make any diference for us as everything was near by and easy to find.

How European can you be in Asia? Guesthouse name is German, it is opposite the Swedish Bakery & Pizza in a French colonial city. Lots of food places along the street Anou. If they are not to your liking, there are many more on other streets so you can easily walk to eat. We did all our sightseeing from this base so we found it very convenient. And when we got back at night, the hot showers and cold air conditioning made us so comfortable. The air conditioner was so quiet we left it on all night and slept under our blanket so had no worries of mosquitos targeting us. Free coffee and filtered water were provided in the foyer and we left our packs there after check out when we had to depart at 6 pm. Not in a noisy part of town. Wifi worked well in the room.

It was aspotlessly clean, nice large airy room. Nice size modern bathroom. Great location.
Really pleasant stay. Great location near the night food market. Easy walk to the sights around the town. Room was cleaned and towels were changed daily and the bedding changed after 2 nights even though we were only staying 3 nights. Would recommend this guesthouse without hesitation.
