For the price we paid in such a good location in London, we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel really exceeded our expecatations. The room was small but great value for money, was clean, even had a coffee machine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would visit again

Worst hotel experience in my whole life”
Had done a mistake during the online booking and ended up booking a triple room instead of quadruple room. At check in, was given a lesson for my mistake. Did not feel treated like a customer at all (although I had already paid more than 200+ pounds for the room). After the big lesson, was finally proposed a bigger room (called family room) in the basement for an extra 30 pounds. It was dirty including beds and bedsheets, carpet, with some of the tools used for what looked like previous repair work still in the room. The bathroom was incredibly disgusting - to a point where there was no way for us to use it for our kids. This hotel experience did not look at all like a 250 pounds experience. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and I am curious thinking what hygiene inspection would do if they were visiting this hotel tomorrow. Scandalous!

We were booked in here 4 times, and each time had a different room, they were all good each one had something a bit wonky but nothing serious. This place is in a perfect spot to get around, the high street full of great food is only a block away, Hyde park at the end of the street, it's all there. We had a great stay here very helpful staff, good breakfast would stay here again.!!

We check in again. But this time, we are upgraded to level 3 and 4. 2 double rooms for 4 pax. The higher grounds are upgraded one. Air conditioner with coffee brewer. Location is good. Minutes to 2 train station.

I was a bit worried before I got here because of some low rating reviews. However, while I was staying here for two days, I had no difficulty staying here except I had to jump over my carrier. At least I could leave my carrier open on the floor, though. The room was clean during the stay (hotel will NOT change your bed sheets but Will make the bed for you). Shampoo, bodywash, and soaps were refilled. The room had a good air conditioner, unlimited hot water from the shower, and a small TV which had a minor issue(maybe resolution problem). Wifi was working fine and okay speed. I was also satisfied with the breakfast buffet. It had various menus and decent taste. I liked how they took care of little details such as preparing small plastic spoons for their yogurts. Although the price wasn't cheap for me as a traveling student, but it is probably because I booked the room a day before my stay. In general, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Were do I start The greeting we got was appalling.. no smile and just abrupt rudeness that h cant check in until 3.so we stored our bags in luggage room...my case was in foyer on my return...for anyone to take...the reaction I got was..well u have it now dont u...hmmmm So went to eat and returned after 3 Got checked in and given the key..went to the room and nearly fainted. It was so old it was like 3rd world...ceiling dirty as and old...carpets had rolls in it...sky light was boarded up...lights had dead bugs.. No air con...hot as Opened the window...wow...birds pop everywhere...disgusting Was scared yo sleep there Ohhh yeah and reported that the toilet was leacking ...I wonder if they have fixed it yet? Asked to be moved...sorry we are full...yeah right The desk is run by 12 yr old and have no customer service skills what so ever... This spoilt our time in England I have never stayed anywhere so appauling and poorly run

Mouldy room, ceiling was covered in patches of mould, not just pertaining to the bathroom. Asked reception for change for vending machine and she flat out said NO we don’t do that... Wouldn’t recommend room 81 to my worst enemy..

This hotel is getting worse”
I've been staying here on and off for several years and not really encountered many issues previously. However on this particular stay I was assigned room 11 which is in the basement. It has a mouse scurrying around above the ceiling tiles. As the hotel was fully booked, I had to check out at midnight and go to another. Avoid this room and avoid the basement if possible. The standards of this hotel have been in decline...noticeable moreso since there has been a change of management. Check in at reception also takes an unnecessarily long time...again new staff there too. Best to avoid this place...unless you can guarantee one of the refurbished rooms on the upper floors.

Well you are in London and rooms are small so dont expect a big room. It is in a geat location and walking distance to the subway, pubs, eateries, and grocery stores. the breakfast was a good spread, with breads, cereals, eggs, bacon, baked beans, hash browns, yogurt, and a coffee machine. The staff were helpful and put our luggage into storage as we had a late night flight. I cant complain, except the bed is a little uncomfortable and small, but i can live with that on holidays.

The 24b room pictures r not available in the hotel reviews. The furniture is extremely old . The bathroom and toilet r not well maintained . The bathtub was v old and had cracks. The shower curtain and walls had fungus on it. It was a nightmare to shower there so as not to touch anytg and not to fall down. We spent only 2 nights in london and that room spoilt our stay. We immediately requested to change room but it was not available. Its the worst room ive ever stayed . Thank you

On arrival we were given rooms in basement, they obviously have not been refurbished as part of the renovations. They were disgusting ,smelly and dirty. After a heated discussion where they wanted to charge us £14 per person per night extra, we got rooms on third floor which were lovely and clean,although a bit small. I asked over the next 4 mornings for a sink plug to allow me to shave and wash but I am still waiting. Breakfast was a big positive as the food was plentiful and a good hot choice every morning. Probably will not use this hotel in future.

Rooms and beds were a bit small, but they were clean, modern, very well priced and had a good breakfast buffet spread. There was also your own coffee/tea machine in each room. Very good location and 5mins walk from Bayswater/Queensway Underground Tube Station. Staff were not very friendly and just chatting to each other unless you went up to them and minimal facilities. Of course, don't have unrealistic expectations for a 3* hotel, and you will certainly enjoy your stay there. Highly recommend for this price bracket.

Pros: Pretty close to the tube station Cons: found a mouse in our room, not very well kept, the walls are dirty, not sure how clean the beds are We were so shocked when we first got there and really contemplated whether to stay or just find a different hotel..

The hotel is fairly convenient to the tube. The price was seriously reduced so I was expecting luxury but it was a rather small room. The bathroom was recently remodeled and nice. The breakfast area was cafeteria style. The food was good. They had an issue with the internet while I was there which was disappointing

I was so disappointed with the hotel. I was initially given a nice room upon my check in but when I returned from shopping, my room was occupied by someone else!! I went to the reception and they told me that they have mistakenly given my room to someone else despite the fact that I have checked in earlier! The staff then apologize but gave me a lousy room on the ground floor. Not worth the stay!

The staff were very helpful especially the ladies in the kitchen who organised an early breakfast for us. The room was very small ,the walls were badly marked and the carpet was dirty. In the room there was no information about the hotel or the facilities available. There was no iron in the room although housekeeping did deliver one to our room. In the reception area people were sleeping on the couches it appeared they spent the night there. One final note don`t order a taxi via reception you will pay over the going rates.

Good location, poor service”
Staff are terrible. When trying to check in we were completely ignored by one staff who was doing something on the computer, she didn't even look up or say hello, just let us stand there waiting. Even a simple "someone will be with you soon" would be adequate. Even when someone did come to serve us, she then interrupted us as we were speaking to ask the other staff member a question. Very rude. Shouldn't work in hospitality. Then the fan was broken in the room, we asked to change it they said they didn't have another one but they'd get us one for the next day - never happened. The shower was also faulty and wouldn't turn of at 9pm. I spoke to the guy on reception, first he told me "you're a man, you can fix" then that no-one could come to take a look until after 11pm. After travelling half way across the world we were going to be asleep by that time, so his solution was to let the shower run all night. Not the problem solving we expected. Hotel has a good location.

IN and out again”
I was barely at the hotel, but it provided warm shelter from the every growing weather outside. November was warm despite the time and still, the chilliness grew with passing hours. I mainly used the room to rest and relax from the day, which was a perfect thing you could do. Visited two concerts that were further away, but the tube station nearby made this a possible thing. Just hope into the tube and off you go. Restaurants and the like are readily available with a short walk, the variety is huge. Breakfast was also nice and you could easily have English breakfast there, no need to go out and eat one for 7 pounds. Not a downside but pretty much a thing: the corridors are narrow, this is an older building after all and thus not made for trolleys in mind. Take your time when you move with luggage or ask for help. Sometimes there are doors blocking the way but i managed to reach the room just fine. All in all, i felt welcomed and had a nice time

They put us on a basement room the first night, its ok but during summer with no ventilation whatsoever its quite suffocating, had there been a fan in that room it would be ok. We were moved to a room on the first floor for the next 5 nights of our stay and it was spacious enough for me and my teen aged daughter. Breakfast was excellent good value for money spent. would stay here again next time we come back to london.
