Great place to stay in Damai beach”
It is very convenient, 1 minute walk to the beach, several cheap restaurants in the complex and the natural park on the other side. The staff are super nice and helpful. Beds are wide and comfort. I stayed there 2 wonderful nights.

i think there is a room for improvement: e.g. In the room, guest can put their luggage into cabinet with lock. It would be better.

Chill Space”
The only budget accommodation in Damai with clean space and great facilities. Only issue is the AC wasn't cold enough. And would be great if the pantry can be closed off from the main dorm because sometimes in the middle of the night people using the microwave makes the whole dorm smell. Otherwise really friendly staff and innovative digital key system.

everything is perfect, except the bed-sheet made my friends' skin itchy”
I think they should only put on the bedsheet when there is a customer. maybe the bedsheets are left on the bed for too long with no maintenance or cover, they made 6 out of 9 in our group have rashes on skin on the next morning. other than that, everything is perfect. can the hotel owner read my review here? i wonder.

Mediocre ”
The hostel itself wasn’t too bad, 1 issue the back door was just a metal open gate in the toilet/ shower area so bugs/ cats can get in bite you (the bugs) just like they dead me. There were also lots of ants on the headboard. However they had a good cinema style room to relax in which came in handy when we booked too many nights. Location, stay 1 night max! There’s nothing to do there even just an after noon is enough!!

Excellent location for damai beach”
The hostel is excellently located, just around the corner from the beach and in the middle of all the shops and 7/11 shop. When I was there the area was really quiet, as well was the hostel. The hostel is very open, but I had the one bed area so If you close curtain its fine. There is enough space to change. The bed area, toilet and shower were pretty clean. Movieroom is great! Since it was so quiet in the area I do think the price is high, and there was not much to do. The Escobar is a nice and cheaper option for getting good food and having a good view!

Central to Damai Beach”
It has everything you need. Right in front of Sarawak Cultural Village. Beside the beach. Close to a swimming pool. Very friendly and apologetic staff. The aircond needs to be fixed. Quite hot in the afternoons. Cooling in the night. TIP:- Go into the TV room for the best aircond.

Great hostel in the perfect location”
BB bunkers is a great hostel! You have a great beach, cultural village and hiking options all within 5-10 min walking distance. There is also a 7-11 right next door and a cheap food court in the complex. The hostel it self was very clean, fairly quiet (there were only 4-7 other guests there) and the staff helpful. Note that the beds are not very private - all open and glass door to the outside- but you can drag curtains around to get privacy. Also the showers are pretty open, hard to go there and change clothes without the chance of someone to walk in on you. The other shower/toilet area was much better. The wifi was a bit spotty, and they do not offer free towels (10 ringgit per towel). The movie room was so much appreciated after many weeks of traveling (felt like a cozy evening movie at home). Remember to bring enough cash with you to the area because there is no ATM and almost everyone only takes cash (not the hostel though..) All in all a great hostel and highly reccomended.

Damai beach ”
Location is very good...but we were lost due to very poor signage when we were travelling from the city of Kuching. This place would be better if it can add some little things... Like a wall clock.. We were also surprised that the back door is open not locked while the front door need a security bangle.

You Get What You Pay”
Check-in was easy, including booking the room (bed). First weakness, the lockers & shelves were dusty. Perhaps, staff(s) could clean (wipe) them weekly / fortnightly. Second, the room temperature was high, as if the air-con isn't working. Fortunately, a fan was given so my sleep was better, cooler. Third, although the WiFi speed could be fast, it was very unstable. Lastly, it was conveyed that towels could be rented at RM10.60 each. However, during my stay, there was no towel at all when the total number of guests were only four adults. Next to a 7-Eleven so almost everything could be bought with cash, MYR only. The food court nearby wasn't very clean in general. As mentioned, you get what you pay. Good view of the South China Sea from Damai Central. I may consider staying here again if I'm on a tight budget.
