I got a good rate from Agoda.com and very convenient for me to cross the border in the morning cause I only walk there 3 mins only. I have no problem with transportation. The place is close to town and easy to access all day with Tuktuk. Good choice with clean room too!

Good room but the hotel was 3 Km from the city center. The hotel is near the railroad station. If you want to be away from the tourist area, this hotel is for you.

I like this hotel. It is not far from the train station and I can walk approx 5 mins. if you take local transport, they will charge a lot. The hotel provide visa run service which is very fast and great service.

Ideal for short stay to cross the Laos-Thai border”
I spent a night at this hotel when I could not cross to the Laos side of the border. The receptionist is not trained about the Agoda booking, she had to keep me waiting to contact her boss over the phone even though I showed her my paid booking etc. They asked 200 baht as key deposit, I refused to give it so they wanted to keep my passport but I don't feel comfy with handing my passport to random people so they kept my driver's licence after a short negotiation with their boss over the phone. Having to go through this at 10 pm after 8 hr of bus trip was not too much fun. The room is clean, large and AC is cold. Bed is super large but unfortunately almost as hard as wood surface. I did not feel springs or bouncing on the bed. I love hard surface, orthopedic beds but this was extreme, if you are picky with mattress and like soft, bouncy surface this bed is not for you, However, they may have rooms with softer mattress perhaps. One last thing, the bath towel just ripped in the middle while I was using it, pretty old stuff, they need to regularly replace them. It is walking distance to the friendship bridge or tuktuk is 20 Baht only. I recommend it for a night stay

The good: Walking distance from border checkpoint. Lots of food around. Close to 7-11 The bad: Rock hard bed . You may as well sleep on the floor. Wifi is weak and slow. The room aircon was broken, but they let me change the room. Overall - the hotel is old and tiered. The room is acceptable but if there was a better option in the 700 baht range I’d take it.

Walk to Laos immigration, acceptable ”
This was my second stay at this hotel, I chose it because it is only 5 minutes walk to the Laos friendship border. I loved it even more when I saw the big Sunday night market only a few hundered yards away. First time I stayed on a first floor room which was nicer. This time I asked ground level as I had a heavy luggage and there is no elevator as usual. I felt my room was too small with an old hardly working AC, things were old and room was too warm. It is okay for 1 night given the proximity to the border, I did not mind much. Don't use Tuk Tuk, just walk to the bridge. Minivans from Udon Thani bring you almost next to this hotel.

Came from laos to catch a train to BKK the next morning. Staff gave a wakeup knock at the door even when i haven't asked for just to make sure that i don't miss the train. Got a big bed, good a/c and toilet/shower facilities A short problem to find my booking, but everything went well at the end

Convenient for railway and Laos border”
walkable from border and railway station but a bit isolated from the main town. clean and good value. hotel sign is in thai only so don't look for a "bb" sign like we did. although its on a main road the rooms are quiet - if the lobby staff don't play the tv too loud at night. friendly enough. beds hard. no restaurant.

Got a room here for the afternoon while waiting for the evening train and it was great for that purpose. Room was clean and good food directly across the street.

Below average hotel”
My third stay here, only good side is proximity to the friendship bridge. If you stay on Sunday you must check out the Sunday market 50 meters away. I came to the hotel at 2:15 pm very tired, women who never ever smiled acknowledged me by name due to agoda booking. Room was not ready so I had to wait another 15 min, it was a torture in a very hot day., Very unprofessional front desk people.

Everything was ok (average price, average quality), but hostel is not in the place you can see on map. I spend an hour walking around, asking people, trying to find this place.

Complete disinterest”
Travelling with internet on the phone and the Agoda booking on the phone. Unable to retrieve the booking when arrived at BB hotel staff said they had no record of the booking and we should look elsewhere. They said that their hotel was well out of the town and would be no good to us. This was true as it turned out but very strange. Unhelpful is an understatement - were were more or less directed to find somewhere else. Have checked account and we have paid for the room but never stayed there so have put cleanliness and facilities down as satisfactory since we have no idea what they were like. Cannot recommend.

Closed to the bridge, dirty bed sheet ”
It was ok for a few hrs sleep. Don't expect too much. Walk in price is more expensive than you book on Agoda. Close to 7-11 and Tesco and 10 mins walk to the bridge.

If you are planning to cross the friendship bridge to Laos,this is the best location,but if you want to visit Nong Khai it is a long way to the happening part of town.
